There is something like "if you can't explain it simply enough, you don't know it well enough". That applies to our own experiences and thoughts too, right?
Certainly, I tend to write better than to speak. Writing affords the time to find the right words. In my mind, it's a jumble. Speaking takes the shortest path. Writing wants clarity.
