I don't think you have to sacrifice sleep for training. It may be better to find 40-60 minutes in the evening for a walk in the fresh air, a few hours before bedtime.

At the time the cycle started, I was getting about 2 hours of broken sleep spread out across the entire day, so it wasn't the best of times in many ways. Exercise lost attention.
