RE: Think like a Viking: Part twenty nine

in Self Improvement3 years ago

You know when I first read this Viking quote, my first thought was: "this is the story of mom". I won't go into too much details why i said so but I would say that throughout my entire existence, I haven't seen anyone as "hungry" as she has been. In fact, she just might be the "hungriest" woman alive. It was because of this hunger that she always persevered and fought her way through life, always being optimistic about the end, never fearing, never doubting. And finally, what was the end product? - Success!

That "hunger" might as well just be a metaphor for "desire" "ambition" and "motive". Sadly, not all will have said "hunger" burning within them - its just another sadness of life. Without that "hunger" there is no much meaning again in life. You become falsely content. You become plain.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but i feel the only possible way to get that "hunger" is via experience and experience only, for it is the only true source of knowledge in this world.

I feel completely at home with these words. The feeling is mutual and I'm grateful for those who are able to perceive the true me.

Thanks a mighty lot for this G-dog! I think I'll send this Viking quote to my mother now. She'll appreciate it.

This line caught my attention. It's legit. This is what it takes.

This is true...It is everything required to achieve mission-success.

I'm glad you liked the quote, that it reminded you of your mother and that you're going to share it with her.

Thank you! It is my earnest pleasure...
