Sometimes revisiting a series with a different approach can completely change the perception. How the series reflects the dynamics of an extremely wealthy family and its internal conflicts resonates with all its essence.
Brian Cox's performance and the music are definitely in another orbit.
Succession is a gem and can be a steppingstone to getting hooked with this type of storytelling, but admittedly you have to be fully immersed to not lose the taste for it as it can be very emotional and impulsive.
that's a great way of summing things up. I felt as though each of these series, 10 hours in total, could easily be summed up in a 1.5 hour single episode. So there are times where things drag out and this kind of annoys me. I am nearly through with 2nd season and I can see that they are kind of re-using elements over and over again but that is ok. I can see this being out of ideas by the time that it actually did end though.
The musical score sticks in my head all day sometimes. It really is something else.
Yes, I understand that, although I remember when I saw the first season I felt very fresh and comfortable to watch, then from the second and third if it gets all very heavy and sometimes tedious, but still has details that is nice not to miss because at the same time the series gives you many feelings of expectation, ie always makes you want to see something new.
well I just started season 3 and it gets the ball moving really fast. I'm hoping that they dont' slow down a ton in the middle of the season which is kind of typical for shows of this sort.
