Por ser fan de “Orgullo y Prejuicio” siempre me ha gustado Bridget Jones, además de que creo que todas las mujeres en cierto punto nos podemos identificar un poco con ella y esta entrega no es la excepción, eso sí les aviso que si la van a ver busquen los pañuelos porque nunca había llorado tanto con algo de la saga. La película está dirigida por Micheal Morris y tiene como protagonista a Reneé Zellwegger, además cuenta con el regreso de Hugh Grant a la franquicia y tiene como nuevas adiciones a Leo Woodhall y Chiwetel Ejiofor.
La historia comienza unos años después de la muerte del sr. Darcy, Bridget aún está asimilando el duelo de esta gran perdida y navega el haberse vuelto una mujer viuda y una madre soltera de dos niños, Billy y Mabel, de un día para otro. Por un incidente conoce a Roxster, un chico MUCHO menor que ella y comienzan una relación, que le devuelve a esa chispa de amor y sexualidad que tenía tan perdida.
La premisa se siente un poco simple al principio, Bridget queda viuda y empieza a salir con un muchacho, pero detrás de eso hay demasiada tela por cortar y creo que esto es algo que se siente muy real de la película, el vivir un duelo post-ruptura o por la muerte de un ser querido. No solo tenemos que aceptar dicha perdida sino que también debemos volver a encontrarnos con nosotros mismos sin esa persona y en el caso de Bridget, se enfrenta a una realidad un poco “aterradora” que es el volver a empezar de cero siendo ya un poco mayor, de hecho hay una escena bastante graciosa donde ella sufre por andar inventando con procedimientos estéticos. Pero esto no se queda aquí, pues nuestra heroína también se enfrenta a volver a salir en la posmodernidad, donde los prejuicios se han relajado y donde el compromiso se lleva de manera distinta. Con respecto al duelo, me pareció muy interesante el acercamiento que se le dio, no sé si en el libro sea igual, vemos como la familia es afectada como grupo por la pérdida de Mark Darcy y también como los afecta a todos de manera individual, la culpa de Bridget porque sus niños crecerán sin su papá y por querer pasar página, sin olvidar a su gran amor y ahí es donde radica lo bonito de la película, Bridget aprende a honrar a Darcy pero siguiendo adelante por su bienestar y el de sus hijos y todo sucede de una manera muy sentimental, les repito apronten los pañuelos.
Por otro lado, el regreso de Hugh Grant estuvo GENIAL, vemos a un Daniel mayor pero que no ha cambiado en nada su personalidad de playboy, por un pequeño susto, termina cuestionándose como ha llevado ciertas cuestiones de su vida y al final vemos cambio de su parte. Verlo de regreso como amigo de Bridget fue uno de esos cameos en películas que se sienten muy organicos, realmente valio la pena, asi como el de Emma Thompson, que regresa a poner a Bridget en cintura.
La película me gusto mucho, repito lo que dije al principio Bridget Jones es un personaje con el que es muy fácil identificarse y ver como es capaz de surgir de las cenizas y comenzar de nuevo es bastante inspirador. La película me gustó mucho y recomiendo verla le doy 3.5/5

Being a fan of “Pride and Prejudice” I have always liked Bridget Jones, plus I think all women at some point we can identify a little with her and this installment is no exception, but I warn you that if you are going to see it look for tissues because I had never cried so much with something of the saga. The film is directed by Micheal Morris and stars Reneé Zellwegger, also features the return of Hugh Grant to the franchise and has as new additions Leo Woodhall and Chiwetel Ejiofor.
The story begins a few years after the death of Mr. Darcy, Bridget is still coming to terms with the grief of this great loss and navigates becoming a widowed woman and a single mother of two children, Billy and Mabel, overnight. Through an incident she meets Roxster, a boy MUCH younger than her and they begin a relationship, which brings her back to that spark of love and sexuality she had so lost.
The premise feels a bit simple at first, Bridget is widowed and starts dating a boy, but behind that there is too much to cut through and I think this is something that feels very real about the film, living through post-breakup grief or the death of a loved one. Not only do we have to accept that loss but we also have to find ourselves again without that person and in Bridget's case, she faces a reality a little “scary” which is to start again from scratch being already a little older, in fact there is a pretty funny scene where she suffers for going around inventing with aesthetic procedures. But this does not stop here, because our heroine is also faced with going out again in post-modernity, where prejudices have been relaxed and where the commitment is carried in a different way. With respect to grief, I found the approach to it very interesting, I don't know if it is the same in the book, we see how the family is affected as a group by the loss of Mark Darcy and also how it affects them all individually, Bridget's guilt because her children will grow up without their dad and for wanting to turn over a new leaf, but not forgetting her great love and that is where the beauty of the film lies, Bridget learns to honor Darcy but moving forward for her and her children's well being and it all happens in a very sentimental way, I repeat, pack your tissues.
On the other hand, Hugh Grant's return was GREAT, we see an older Daniel but he hasn't changed his playboy personality at all, because of a little scare, he ends up questioning how he has handled certain issues in his life and in the end we see change on his part. Seeing him back as Bridget's friend was one of those cameos in movies that feel very organic, it was really worth it, as well as Emma Thompson, who returns to put Bridget in waist.
I liked the movie a lot, I repeat what I said at the beginning Bridget Jones is a character that is very easy to identify with and to see how she is able to rise from the ashes and start again is quite inspiring. I really liked the movie and I recommend watching it I give it 3.5/5

Verla lidiar con el duelo de Darcy mientras intenta recomponer su vida como madre soltera... uf, qué golpe emocional. La escena donde se debate entre honrar su pasado y abrazar algo nuevo con Roxster es tan real que duele. Me encantó cómo equilibraron el humor tierno con momentos crudos de autodescubrimiento
Es increíble lo cruda y lo cómica que es al mismo tiempo, no esperaba llorar tanto jajajaja :(
