Hey, all of us have our own favourite childhood TV show right? So do I! In recent time I do not get enough time to watch anything on television I prefer to watch them on my PHONE rather than waiting for the show to come up in the Television. But back in time when I was a child I had a strong desire to watch Cartoons or Kids Show on the Television. That time my mom and I used to have arguments over it haha such golden memories. So, I barely had the remotes of the TV. I used to watch a show called Sisimpur maybe on every Friday I don’t recall it properly. In the morning they used to air the episodes. Back then I didn’t know what is episode or anything I used to watch it as it was fun to watch. Every episode I used to learn something new, they used to teach about natural calamities and what steps we should take in order to protect ourselves and through singing it out they used explain it very educational way. I used to sing with them and I never felt like they were teaching something but felt something knowledge was being shared that I never knew before. Let’s talk about the characters so, there are 4 main characters and those are actually puppets besides that most of the times they do get the involvement of a human in the show if it is needed. It was really my kinda show where I believed to live with the puppets like the humans on the show and wanted to interact with them and hang out with them. Everyday I used to learn something new and try to apply it in real life it was really fun.

He is a Bengal Tiger, he is strong and very naive besides that it takes him a while to understand the circumstances around him also his favourite food is fish and he is very fond of foods. Moreover, I used to think that if I could help him out in critical situations.

Ikri Mikri is kind of a monster, he is very young as like 3 years old child. He is very childish full of excitement and gets upset easily. I found him very cute like he is really adorable!

Shiku

He is a Jackal kinda related to animals like fox and dog also wolf alike. It’s really complicated at first I used to think of him as a fox. He is very small I think He is around 5 years old and with a curious mind he wants to explore everything. He is very intelligent and has solution to every problem. I really loved the fact he was the smartest.

Tuktuki

She is the same age as Shiku, she is a girl with the mind which burns due to curiosity. Always being curious about the affairs of others even though it’s not related to her she will be restless to find it out. She does love going to school and besides that she loves to play in the ground such as cricket.

These 4 characters are my favourite can’t put someone out because every one of them are special for their own varieties. Every character has different personality and different way of teaching ethics. Seeing them making mistakes and after that they also try to fix it which has also inspired me. They do involve humans in the show but I don’t remember them all. But the character I find most interesting is Shiku because I was inspired by this character. I have always wanted to solve my own problems like Shiku did and explore new things besides that be smart.

There are many more involvement of other puppet characters but I choose to introduce only 4 of them because they are the main. Actually they are main but also the involvement of other characters is importantly casted. I love it that they don’t only put the main characters in the frame also providing the importance of other puppet characters. In this way I never got bored of watching it.

In Bangladesh it was the most famous Kids Show. Parents also tended to let their children watch it and didn’t think of it as it’s gonna hamper the studies of their kids. Because this Kids Show was always about educational stuffs even they have included characters of autism & disabled kids so that they can teach every kids to show respect and not to treat unequally those who are different from them. Kids can learn manners and ethics from this show. Simsimpur tend to teach by poems, singing & playing games which is fun and attractive to watch. They tend to teach in the most appropriate way which leads the kids to have general knowledge about good and bad things. I think it does matter what children are watching because they do learn from it.

It’s not only a show to me it’s related to my emotions it’s very nostalgic to see it again. I do miss watching those episodes. Sisimpur is one of my favourite TV shows, which will always stay in my heart and mind no matter how old I grow.

It is similar to our English version of Sesame Street which has been on my Canadian CBC TV station for decades. Even my two boys watched our version a long time ago now they are adults now.
Some shows sure can transcend languages and cultures. 💚

SISIMPUR was one of the most favorite shows for us when we were kids. I think kids of the current generation can't feel the emotions we experienced at that time. We didn't have technological devices like every kid gets in current time but our moments were more beautiful and more precious.
While reading this article it reminded me of the past days of childhood.

Pretty nostalgic 😄

I didn't watch this type of shows but my friends loves puppets shows (in childhood days) 😂. So you are one of them hehe (just kidding...)
I was fan of Ninja Turtles cartoon (still loves that old series...) and I and my brothers draw those turtles in no time with any pose hehe...

Ninja Turtles was a great show! I played some video games with my cousin brother with those Ninja Turtles. Those were the good old days! Such precious memories.

really, good old days 😍😍

I also love Ninja Turtle, I have many cartoons that are my favourite still now hehe. Thanks for sharing your experience 😊

So sweet of you thanks for reading patiently 😃

I liked Sesame Street when I was a child and there was a very famous ventriloquist in my country called Carlos Donoso who was a comedian with two unique characters called Kini and Lalo. So I totally understand your passion for this type of film. Happy week dear friend 🙌🙌🙌

Thanks my friend! Let's grind together hehe 😃
