Don't miss these Italian tragicomedies: Family has a price and Inheritance has a price
One thing I love about Italian comedies is that every time I watch one, I understand my family more. When I want express therapy and to work on acceptance and forgiveness in the family setting, I must watch an Italian comedy.
Why am I doing this review of two movies in one? Well, they are both related and work on similar concepts. The actors are the same and the story of one is consistent with the other.
In these films we see a family where there is a grandmother who is always present and somehow influences the family of... her daughter! Of course, the daughter's.
The daughter is a woman of about 55 years old with her husband, but her husband doesn't have too much participation in the house, because the daughter, although very funny and cool, ends up being in charge.

Algo que amo de las comedias italianas es que cada vez que veo una, entiendo más a mi familia. Cuando quiero terapia express y trabajar la aceptación y el perdón en el ámbito familiar, yo debo ver una comedia italiana.
¿Por qué hago esta reseña de dos películas en una? Pues las dos están relacionadas y trabajan conceptos similares. Los actores son los mismos y la historia de una es consecuente con la otra.
En estas películas vemos una familia en donde hay una abuela que siempre está presente y de alguna manera influye en la familia de… su hija! Por supuesto, de la hija.
La hija es una mujer de unos 55 años con su marido, pero su marido no tiene demasiada participación en la casa, pues la hija, aunque muy divertida y buena onda, termina mandando.
This married couple has two children, both quite affected by the family dynamics, one who is practically depressed and the other who seeks to flee the family nucleus. Both, although they work hard for their independence, end up returning to their parents' house because their parents, especially the mother, make sure that the children do not manage to finally make their lives in peace.
This is the spirit of one of the films and the other, with this same basic concept, tells us about a mother (the grandmother) who begins to make her life with a new partner but her daughter does not leave her alone because she considers that this woman's partner intends to take the money of the lady, who has just become a multimillionaire (although this is related to the other film, it can be understood perfectly separately, in fact I started with this production because I did not know the story).
The thing is that the woman begins to plan a strategy to get rid of the man and in this she ends up dragging her whole family.
Este matrimonio tiene dos hijos, los dos bastante afectados por la dinámica familiar, uno que está prácticamente deprimido y la otra que busca huir del núcleo familiar. Ambos, aunque trabajan arduamente por su independencia, terminan regresando a la casa de sus padres porque los mismos, especialmente la madre, se encargan de que los hijos no logren finalmente hacer sus vidas en paz.
Este es el espíritu de una de las películas y la otra, con este mismo concepto de base, nos habla de una madre (la abuela) que empieza a hacer su vida con una nueva pareja pero su hija no la deja tranquila porque considera que la pareja de esta mujer pretende quedarse con el dinero de la señora, que justo se ha convertido en multimillonaria (aunque esto está relacionado con la otra película, se puede entender perfectamente por separado, de hecho yo comencé con esta producción porque no conocía la historia).
Cuestión que la mujer empieza a planear una estrategia para deshacerse del hombre y en esto termina por arrastrar a toda su familia.
The middle woman in the lineage, that is, the one who is both daughter and mother in the film, is the one who initiates the moves that have a strong impact on the rest of the family, but then does not take full responsibility for what she has done.
All this happens in a delightful tragicomedy, that anyone who identifies themselves or someone around them with these characters, can get to really laugh at situations that are difficult, but that are added a spark of joy we could say.
La mujer del medio en el linaje, es decir la que es hija y es madre en el film, es la que inicia las jugadas que repercuten fuertemente en el resto de la familia, pero después no se hace cargo por completo de lo que ha hecho.
Todo esto ocurre en una tragicomedia deliciosa, que cualquier persona que se identifique a sí misma o a alguien de su entorno con estos personajes, puede llegar a reírse realmente de situaciones que son difíciles, pero que se les agrega una chispa de alegría podríamos decir.
The psychological background is indeed complex, because these situations can ultimately lead to dysfunctional families, children dependent on their parents and much more, but sometimes it is good to transform drama into comedy and be able to contemplate and become aware of certain problems from a healthy perspective.
The films also show very common situations of today, which are natural and sometimes can be associated with lack of respect or guilt, and in the end are simply facts that end up happening to all of us.
Highly recommended, but they are for me a 3,5 ⭐️
El trasfondo psicológico sí que es complejo, porque estas situaciones pueden derivar al final en familias disfuncionales, en hijos dependientes de los padres y mucho más, pero a veces está bueno transformar el drama en comedia y se capaz de contemplar y hacerse consciente de ciertas problemáticas desde una perspectiva sana.
En las películas además, se muestran situaciones muy comunes del día de hoy, que son naturales y que a veces se pueden asociar con falta de respeto o culpa, y al final son simplemente hechos que nos terminan pasando a todos.
Muy recomendadas!! Aunque las puntuaría en 3,5 ⭐️
