Longlegs (2024),is a tense and horror thriller movie directed by Osgood Perkins, it is about an FBI Agent Lee Harker, who is investigating a chilling serial killer called long legs. Agent Lee uses her psychic abilities to glimpse into the past of the killer giving the movie a mix of suspense and supernatural hint.
The movie's greatest strength is Cage’s performance of long legs, his creepy smile and then the haunting atmosphere and visuals that maintained the chill on the screen.
Some critics say the film doesn’t explore the characters deeply enough, particularly the killer’s motivations and the protagonist's psychic abilities. But when I comes to horror movies I think the character development should be focused more on the protagonist. As for the killer there can be an intense energy brought to the story leaving them more enigmatic.
While it succeeds in building tension, the story feels somewhat hollow and rushed, the pace was not so good.
The movie is good as a tension-filled thriller and cage nailed the creepy performance. It did very well in the giving chills aspect.
But overall lacks exploration of the characters and plot and may not satisfy viewers that wanted a good pacing. The storyline just doesn't hit it and lacks in some areas.
