This film is one of my favorites in K-Drama. To be honest, I don't really like films with flat plots or perhaps predictable plots. I like films that contain action, comedy and romance. and when I saw a clip of this film, which tells the story of a shaman who deceives many people. To be able to deceive someone, he always disguised himself as a fortune teller who ran a fortune telling shop in Minamdang. In order to attract customers, he takes advantage of his handsome appearance and at the same time uses his fluent speaking skills to make people captivated.
I immediately downloaded this series from the recommendations I watched. I fell in love with the scene I encountered and rushed to see the whole thing, that decision was very correct because this film turns out to contain a lot of mystery in it.
Cafe minamdang is a Korean series released in 2022 with 10 episodes. This series falls into the comedy and mystery genre. do your friends know? While watching this K-Drama series I was always intrigued and laughed by the comedy acts played by the players. It's really refreshing to see a comedy series that can make us as viewers forget about the mortal world, maybe I'll review it soon.
Cafe Minamdang
The series "Cafe Minamdang" tells the story of a former criminal police officer whose career was destroyed because he was slandered by someone in the murder case of his best friend. He was accused of destroying evidence which allowed a suspect to walk free.
When his sentence is over. and he was fired from the criminal police force. Nam Han Jun turns into a 'Fortune Teller'. Using his ability to analyze things, he acts as if he can see through someone's life.
Nam Han Jun was not alone because he was helped by Nam Hye Jun and Kong Su Cheol. Together with another young person, Nam opened Cafe Minamdang.
His main goal is to catch the person who slandered him and killed his best friend.
Using his ability to analyze things and with the help of his younger sister who is good at hacking and his best friend who is good at fighting, Shaman Nam Han Jun opened a special cafe called "Cafe Minamdang" as a pretext so that people would not suspect his whereabouts.
While pursuing his best friend's killer. they are confused by the appearance of Detective Han Jae Hui. Han Jae Hui himself is obsessed with catching Nam Han Jun because he still has a grudge over his brother's death.
He engages emotion first rather than logic. Shaman Nam's work finally increased because he had to face the rude and noisy Han Jae Hui.
There is a prosecutor who often helps with cases handled by Hae Jue Hui. Yes, Prosecutor Cha Do Won initially showed his support for Han Jae Hui and started to look annoyed with the closeness of Han Jae Hui and Nam Han Jun.
Many supporting characters caught my attention. My main reason for recommending this series to anyone is for anyone who likes Comedy and Mystery genre series. Cafe Minamdang comes with a different drama and very funny scenes and a plot that is not too heavy
Seo In Guk as Shaman Nam Han Jun, who 'tricks' clients, is not the only menu served in this drama. Cafe Minamdang (2022) is an investigative drama with a fairly dense plot, but it's fun to follow because it's accompanied by strong comedy.
Nam Han Jun's goal in his business as a shaman is to find the mastermind behind his friend's death. However, the figure that Shaman Nam was looking for until episode 10 was still a secret.
Hidden Love Story
Since the first episode, the relationship between Shaman Nam Han Jun and Jae Hui has never been harmonious. Jae Hui is always suspicious to the point that Shaman Nam's plans are often disrupted.
However, after Jae Hui revealed his identity as Han Jae Jeong's younger brother or Nam Han Jun's friend,
Nam Han Jun's attitude changed drastically. Their relationship develops so quickly that it feels too contrived. When Jae Hui was still a teenager, Nam Han Jun looked like he had grown up. However, when the two meet again, Nam Han Jun is still the same, while Jae Hui seems to have grown up alone.
The Surprising Identity of Gopuri
The initial drama Cafe Minamdang invites us to be curious about the figure of the killer of Nam Han Jun's friend. Nam Han Jun calls it GOPURI. His identity is still mysterious along with the deaths of other victims. Some of the characters seem suspicious.
At the end of the final episode of Cafe Minamdang, the gang managed to reveal who Gopuri is and her accomplices. they remain ridiculous so that scenes that should be tense feel entertaining and laughable.
I really recommend it to friends who really like the mystery and comedy genres. Drama is a good escape from the intense storylines that we might see. Let me know in the comments section what you think about this series.
