Hola amigos de #Movies&TV Shows, esta es la primera vez que yo escribo para esta comunidad, pero acabo de encontrarla por sugerencia de mi hija @mairene1, y la verdad es que me gustó bastante el contenido, pude encontrar varias reseñas y sugerencias de películas que me gustaría ver. Hoy yo les voy a hablar de una serie muy buena que acabo de terminar de ver en Nexflit es una serie de terror, y este es un genero que me encanta desde muy niña, cuando escuchaba un programa de radio que se llama "Nuestro Insólito Universo" y posteriormente, ya de adulta veía una serie que se llamaba "Las Brujas de Salem" a mediados de los 80, por eso me llamó la atención enseguida, en cuanto la vi en el catalogo de netflix.
The series is about a young woman named Emma who writes a saga of Horror novels based on a witch, wife of a demon called Marianne, who stalks people, but Lizzie, the heroine of the novel, is the only one capable of confronting her to defeat her. The novel is very successful and has filled its author with fame and fortune, but what its readers do not know is that Marianne really exists far beyond Emma's imagination, she is a real spirit that begins to haunt her after the author's decision. not to continue writing the series of novels, and he will do whatever it takes to get him to do so. Emma is forced to return to Elden, the town where she was born and raised, to reunite with her old friends, her parents and also her past, in order to finally try to defeat that witch who once again began to try to destroy her life.
La serie trata sobre una joven llamada Emma que escribe una saga de novelas de Terror basada en una bruja, esposa de un demonio llamada Marianne, la cual acecha a las personas, pero lIzzie, la heroína de la novela, es la única capaz de enfrentarla para vencerla, la novela tiene muchísimo éxito y ha llenado de fama y fortuna a su autora, pero lo que sus lectores ignoran es que Marianne realmente existe mucho más allá de la imaginación de Emma, es un espíritu real que comienza a asediarla tras la decisión de la autora de no continuar escribiendo la saga de novelas, y hará lo que sea para conseguir que lo haga. Emma se ve obligada a retornar a Elden, el pueblo donde nació y creció, para reencontrarse con sus viejos amigos, sus padres y también con su pasado, para de esta manera tratar de vencer finalmente a esa bruja que comenzó nuevamente a intentar destruir su vida.
The series is very well done because it achieves the main objective which is to be scary, even though at the beginning of the series, in the first chapters we cannot see the main villain because she manifests herself mostly through other people, in any case we are filled with panic when we see the erratic behavior of these people, for example when she possessed Emma's parents it was very scary to see them do or say strange things, especially walking around the house naked, but the one who definitely did an exceptional job is the woman who played Mrs. Daugeron, her crazy look, her evil smile, everything about her made her panic. In fact, that first visit that Emma and Camile make to this lady's house makes one's heart race from the moment the woman opens the door of the house and partially looks out and reaches its peak when both visitors flee from the house in terror.
La serie está muy bien hecha porque logra el objetivo prinicpal que es dar miedo, a pesar de que al inicio de la serie, en los primeros capítulos no podemos ver a la villana principal porque esta se manifiesta mayormente a través de otras personas, de todas maneras nos llenamos de pánico al ver el comportamiento errático de estas personas, por ejemplo cuando poseyó a los padres de Emma daba muchísimo miedo verlos hacer o decir cosas raras, en especial pasearse desnudos por la casa, pero quien definitivamente hizo un trabajo excepcional es la mujer que interpretó a la señora Daugeron, su mirada desquiciada, su sonrisa maléfica, todo en ella daba pánico, de hecho, esa primera visita que Emma y Camile hacen a la casa de esta señora hace que a uno se le acelere el corazón desde el momento en que la mujer abre la puerta de la casa y se asoma parcialmente y llega a su punto más álgido cuando ambas visitantes salen huyendo de la casa aterrorizadas.
Another thing that stands out is the fact that you don't know what to expect, the series is totally unpredictable, only two things are totally true about this entity, one is that it cannot lie about its name, that is, when it possesses someone, if you ask the name it will say that it is Marianne because it cannot hide it, and the other is that it never leaves without anything, the latter gives you chills because you know that after any confrontation there will always be a loss, but you cannot specify who will leave or under what circumstance.
Otra de las cosas que llama la atención es el hecho de que no sabes qué esperar, la serie es totalmente impredecible, solo dos cosas son totalmente ciertas sobre esta entidad, una es que no puede mentir acerca de su nombre, es decir, cuando posee a alguien, si se le pregunta el nombre dirá que es Marianne porque no puede ocultarlo, y la otra es que nunca se va sin nada, esto último da escalofríos porque sabes que luego de cualquier enfrentamiento siempre habrá una perdida, pero no puedes precisar ni quien se irá ni en qué circunstancia.
The only thing I didn't like about the ending is that it is very confusing, an open ending means that the series will probably continue, and especially after the success it is having, but I honestly don't know what to think about the protagonist, Emma, after seeing that ending I had several questions running through my mind. Is she still possessed? is she really pregnant? Whose baby is it?
Lo único que no me gustó del final es que es muy confuso, un final abierto significa que probablemente la serie continúe, y sobre todo luego del éxito que está teniendo, pero honestamente no sé qué pensar sobre la protagonista, Emma, luego de ver ese final se me quedaron varias preguntas rondando en la mente ¿Continua poseída? ¿realmente está embarazada? ¿De quién es el bebé?

As an horror fan I totally loved this TV series what a shame there is not another season I think it's a very valid horror TV show.
They are probably already working on the next season, that open ending suggested we would have more of this series.

Ya sabes que no me gusta el cine de terror, pero de todas maneras por lo que comentas se puede apreciar que hay un muy buen trabajo en las actuaciones y también en el guion

The scene with Mrs. Daugeron halfway opening the door… it gave me a chill that still hasn't gone away! I totally agree that the open ending is a double-edged sword: on the one hand, I want a second season to solve the mystery of the baby, but on the other, I'm afraid that they'll drag the story out and lose that dark essence that made it so addictive.
Oops yes, definitely one of the best scenes of the series, let's hope they get around to making the second season, but all indications are that it will be. Thank you very much for reading and commenting.
