I love Marvel. I usually tell my friends that it seems like everyone in that establishment is gifted at what they do (even those that do the most basic things like serve water and go on errands). The actors are great, but the people that make the movies come to life are the ones that should take all the credit.
The two main groups that are worthy of mention are the casting team and the story writers. For the latter; they deliver a consistency that no universe has ever been able to match or surpass. Star Wars tried to be slick with making parts IV, V, and VI come before I, II, and III but it didn't still hit me as it should have (I hope we don't have too many Star Wars fanatics here). The storytelling the MCU brings is so seamless that they can add anything to it and it will still work. They play so easily with easter eggs to the point where businesses have been created just to be able to show people the ones that they must have missed.
It is usually hard to be able to handle such volume of information but the seamlessness shows some high level of information architecture in moviemaking. The movies have been doing great over the years but with the introduction of the mini-series through Disney+, they totally showed that they are capable of running the game in any angle they darned well please. Wandavision, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Loki were television masterpieces that had people glued to every Friday an episode was supposed to come out. And oh the humor! Don't get me started on the humor!
The second key factor in their greatness is the casting. I have never seen a character that did not fully own and embellish their role in any movie in the MCU (if you have seen any, please let me know in the comments). From Dr. Strange (perfectly depicted by Mr. Benedict) to Chris Evans owning the Captain America role like he was born into it, or the eccentric perfection Robert Downey Jr brought to the Iron Man role - but to name a few - have shown that movie making can be perfected.
The bar is set and it will take a lot to be able to reach that level. Even DC who are supposed to be close competition with Marvel doesn't seem to know how to do it on that level - if it is not a cartoon.
What are your thoughts on Marvel? I'd love to see your comments
DC doesn't come close tbh. Seen some trailers for black widow and even though you know it's just going to be the same old fight and blow up stuff, it's still going to be totally awesome
Bro they brought a new angle to it. They knew it won't bang like the main movies so they brought in humor to fill it up. Then her sister is just something else
DC is better with their animated series, tbh.
Yea I agree
Marvel does their business well and they keep the entertainment alive in all their storyline.
When it comes to comparism, DC is the other neighbor that can step into the ring but we all know how it usually ends. Flawless victory for marvel.
Like you rightly said, DC can still make a case for themselves in anime world
DC is awesome with animation. That one is a unarguable.
