The first novel by Herbert entitled Dune from 1965 has more than 600 pages, for that reason Denis Villeneuve the director of both films decided to adapt this part of the story in 2. Uno de los grandes logros de esta adaptación que me a maravillado es el desarrollo de la imagen de Paul Atreides, el elegido que no desea ser elegido, que realmente finge no desear ser elegido para ganar seguidores, luego asume un rol de vengador complaciendo aquellos que buscan ser complacidos con venganza contra sus enemigos ganando así mas adeptos.
It is a perfect adaptation that can be extrapolated to the realities of "world leaders", here we give full credit to Herbert for warping his character into what he was sworn to destroy, a brilliant counterpoint to the Hollywood stereotype where the good guys win and the bad guys regret being bad, presenting us instead with a portrait of a character who understands the brutality it takes to rule.
Es una perfecta adaptación que se puede extrapolar a las realidades de los "lideres mundiales" aquí le damos todo el crédito a Herbert al deformar a su personaje para convertirlo en lo que había jurado destruir, una contraposición brillante a el estereotipo de Hollywood donde los buenos ganan y los malos se arrepiente de ser malos, presentándonos en cambio el retrato de un personaje que entiende la brutalidad que se requiere tener para gobernar.
The truth is I'm amazed with this adaptation, the last time from my humble opinion there was an achievement like this was the Lord of the Rings, but it is more than a wonderful story, it is also a great achievement from the technical point of view, because it would not make sense to tell a story if graphically it is not up to par, the development of each planet and its variants, the soundtrack that shakes you in the most epic moments, Hans Zimmer's music is simply amazing, everything makes this film worthy of many awards.
La verdad estoy maravillado con esta adaptación, la ultima vez que desde mi humilde opinión hubo un logro como este fue el Señor de los Anillos, pero es mas que una maravillosa historia, también es un gran logro desde lo técnico, porque no tendría sentido contar un cuento si gráficamente no esta a la altura, el desarrollo de cada planeta y sus variantes, la banda sonora que te estremece en los momentos mas épicos, la música de Hans Zimmer es simplemente asombrosa, todo convierte esta película en digna merecedora de muchos premios.

I have had Dune 2 on my watchlist for a while now. With this review, I am sure it is going to be my next watch.

As much as I love Zendaya, I really couldn't enjoy too much the first Dune, hence why I had zero interest in the continuation. Maybe I would give this another try someday!
It is understandable, a film can be very good but in order to enjoy it it must attract us, what I'm saying is that I thought it was a masterful adaptation.

I think the first one it's on HBO, but I'm not sure. Part 2 it's only in theaters.
