Never Have I Ever is yet another Netflix Original teenage drama romance comedy but I bet this is the best you might have seen.

It might be the under the generic story line but it has many reasons to stand out. It is based on the life of a young Indian-American Girl living in California dealing with the series of tragic events happening in her life while also coming to terms with the phase of adolescence. Amidst her quest for being the most popular girl in school and beating her best rival Ben, she sets out to have a fling with the school hottest guy Paxton. Meanwhile also facing the void left behind after her father's death and constant refusal to acknowledge the loss along with facing the opinion conflicts with her mother, this story also presents what it means to be free and letting go besides explaining the power of liberation and acceptance.

Set in the modern lifestyle, it also beautifully presents the taboo we have in our society like the one with homosexuality, books shouldn’t be touching the ground, love marriage and the big show and lies when a marriage follows.
It has received 97% on review site Rotten Tomatoes and has received appreciation from both critics and the public. As per Forbes, Never Have I Ever is the BEST TEEN COMEDY that Netflix has created so far, which is pretty much great comment. A critic writing for vulture titled her review Never Have I Ever made me happier than I’ve been in weeks, going on to explain how this was the show we didn’t know we needed right now. John Anderson from Wall Street Journal said Comedy is never safe; the best comedy is totally unsafe; and Never Have I Ever is the teen-sitcom equivalent of running with scissors, used hypodermic needles and a fully operating chain saw. It may also be the meta high-school series of our time. I guess we’ve got enough of reviews to justify why this is the best present Teen Rom-Com available.
It has 1 Season and 10 episodes, all of which reveal the layers of life and challenges as the story unfolds. Not for a second will it make you cringe and switch your screens off. And even if it does get predictable at times, the presentation is so enduring that you will just want to see it more.

I really enjoyed watching the series, especially how the characters discover themselves in the process of discovering love and friendship. The show has not yet been cancelled or renewed for another season. But if it does get renewed, it will surely have many more stories to tell.
