Este año vi el que se considero el MEJOR DRAMA del año 2024 y tengo que decir... que no me gustó nada. Lovely Runner es un drama protagonizada por Byeon Woo-seok en el papel de Ryu Sun-Jae , Kim Hye-yoon, Song como Im Sol yGeon-hee haciendo el papel de Kim Tae-Seong . Está basada en una novela web del mismo título original, escrita por Kim Bbang, y que también fue adaptada como webtoon.
La historia trata de Im Sol, una chica que tiene un accidente al ser atropellada por un auto y la deja sin poder caminar, Sol no le ve sentido a la vida y se sume en la rabia y la depresión, un día un número desconocido llama a su teléfono y resulta ser el vocalista principal del nuevo grupo Eclipse llamado Ryu Sun.-Jae después de esa llamada Sol pasa a ser fanática de esta banda y recupera las ganas de vivir gracias a su música. Años después Sol ve en las noticias que Sun-Jae está muerto y revelan algunas de las situaciones por las que estaba pasando su salud mental. Finalmente por cosas que pasan, Sol termina realizando un viaje en el tiempo al pasado descubriendo que tiene una oportunidad de salvar a su artista favorito.
This year I watched what is considered the BEST DRAMA of the year 2024 and I have to say... I didn't like it at all. Lovely Runner is a drama starring Byeon Woo-seok as Ryu Sun-Jae , Kim Hye-yoon, Song as Im Sol andGeon-hee playing the role of Kim Tae-Seong . It is based on a web novel of the same original title, written by Kim Bbang, which was also adapted as a webtoon.
The story is about Im Sol, a girl who has an accident when she gets hit by a car and leaves her unable to walk, Sol sees no meaning in life and sinks into rage and depression, one day an unknown number calls her phone and it turns out to be the lead singer of the new band Eclipse called Ryu Sun.-Jae after that call Sol becomes a fan of this band and recovers the will to live thanks to their music. Years later Sol sees in the news that Sun-Jae is dead and they reveal some of the situations his mental health was going through. Finally, as things happen, Sol ends up taking a trip back in time to the past and discovers that she has a chance to save her favorite artist.
Honestamente, la premisa de que una fanática sea quien ahora salve a ese artista que tanto le gusta me llamó mucho la atención, tenían la oportunidad de hacer algo muy bueno y siento que la perdieron. Para empezar la protagonista es muy indecisa, despistada y hasta tonta, en un episodio quería estar cerca de Sun-Jae y al otro segundo quería alejarlo de ella, tuvo al pobre muy confundido durante la mayor parte de la serie y aún cuando el decía que quería estar con ella sin importar nada ella seguí con sus indecisiones. Pensé que al ser un adulto en el cuerpo de un adolescente seria alguien más razonable e inteligente, y aunque quisieron hacer parecer que así era... no fue nada así. Las intenciones de esta chica fueron buenas, pero iba para adelante y para atrás y eso lo que generaba era que se mantuviera en el mismo sitio.

Honestly, the premise of a fan girl being the one who now saves that artist she likes so much caught my attention, they had the opportunity to do something really good and I feel like they missed it. For starters the main character is very indecisive, clueless and even silly, in one episode she wanted to be close to Sun-Jae and the next second she wanted to take him away from her, she had the poor guy very confused for most of the series and even when he said he wanted to be with her no matter what she continued with her indecisions. I thought that being an adult in a teenager's body she would be someone more reasonable and intelligent, and although they wanted to make it seem that way... it wasn't like that at all. This girl's intentions were good, but she kept going back and forth and that just kept her in the same place.
Sun-Jae es un personaje agradable, pero para ser protagonista le faltó algo, pienso que no usaron su personaje de forma adecuada. Es muy cierto que muchas fans se sienten agradecidas hacía sus artistas preferidos (yo soy una) y me hubiera gustado un poco que manejaran esa idea de una forma distinta. Conocemos a Sun-Jae, es nadador, buena persona, tiene amigos, un padre que lo apoya y es bueno en su música. pero me faltó algo... o será que lo que me molesta de él es su relación con Sol? No lo sé, lo que si puedo decir que no me gustó fue las mil veces que lo murió (aunque eso es culpa del guion, no del personaje), la trama pudo haber sido más corta, para mi en 12 capítulos se resolvía todo.
Sun-Jae is a nice character, but to be the main character she lacked something, I think they didn't use her character properly. It is very true that many fans feel grateful to their favorite artists (I am one of them) and I would have liked a little bit that they handled that idea in a different way. We know Sun-Jae, he's a swimmer, a good person, he has friends, a supportive father and he's good at his music, but something was missing... or is it his relationship with Sol that bothers me? I don't know, what I can say that I didn't like was the thousand times he died (although that's the script's fault, not the character's), the plot could have been shorter, for me in 12 chapters everything was solved.
Kim Tae-Seong merecía algo mejor, su personaje (a mi parecer) es de los mejores, de verdad quería a Sol, es un chico con personalidad, inteligente y comprometido. Me entristeció que solo usaron su personaje para ser la ¨Competencia¨ de Sun-Jae y no le buscaron a alguien que lo mereciera, al menos estoy feliz con saber que sin importar cuanto cambie el futuro, sea como diseñador, detective o lo que sea, Tae-Seong es capaz de vivir una buena vida.
Kim Tae-Seong deserved better, his character (in my opinion) is one of the best, I really loved Sol, he is a guy with personality, intelligent and committed. I was sad that they only used his character to be Sun-Jae's ¨Competition¨ and didn't look for someone who deserved it, at least I'm happy to know that no matter how much the future changes, be it as a designer, detective or whatever, Tae-Seong is able to live a good life.
En conclusión, mi problema con este drama es la protagonista, así de simple ¿Lo volvería a ver? NO, jamás. Para ser considerado ¨El mejor drama del año 2024¨ me decepcionó mucho. Si alguien que está leyendo esto disfrutó el drama lo lamento pero no comparto el gusto, aún así, respeto los gustos y opiniones de todos. Sin más nada que decir, gracias por leer. ☺️☺️
In conclusion, my problem with this drama is the leading lady, simple as that Would I watch it again? NO, never. For being considered ¨The best drama of the year 2024¨ I was very disappointed.
