Hoy me decidí por hacer un post platicando acerca de una de las mejores series que he visto y que más me ha gustado. A pesar de yo haber nacido apenas en el año 2003, tres años después de haber finalizado su transmisión, con esta serie siendo estrenada en 1993, pude haber tenido la oportunidad de ver muchos de sus capítulos durante mi niñez a través de Disney Channel, aun siendo esa serie parte de la cadena televisiva ABC.
Today I decided to do a post talking about one of the best series I have seen and liked the most. Even though I was born only in 2003, three years after the end of its transmission, with this series being premiered in 1993, I had the opportunity to watch many of its chapters during my childhood through Disney Channel, even though this series was part of the ABC television network.
INTRODUCTION TO BOY MEETS WORLD.
A pesar de que su nombre en las regiones de hispano-américa es "Aprendiendo a vivir", siempre lo conocí por su nombre en inglés "Boy Meets World". Esta serie es relata acerca de las distintas situaciones de la vida adolescente de Cory Matthews y el recorrido por el que pasa durante todo su crecimiento, así como sucesos en la vida de otros personaje. Relatándose lo que un adolescente aprende al crecer y conocer sobre el mundo en el que se encuentra y como aprende nuevas cosas gracias a experiencias y anécdotas de personas importantes en la trama.
Although its name in the Spanish-speaking regions of America is "Aprendiendo a vivir" (Learning to Live), I always knew it by its English name "Boy Meets World". This series is about the different situations in the adolescent life of Cory Matthews and the journey he goes through as he grows up, as well as events in the lives of other characters. It tells the story of what a teenager learns as he grows up and learns about the world in which he finds himself and how he learns new things thanks to experiences and anecdotes of important people in the plot.
Una serie creada por el increíble dúo que hacían los escritores y productores Michael Jacobs y April Kelly, quienes posteriormente luego de haber finalizado la séptima y última temporada de Boy Meets World, puesto a que la cadena de ABC canceló la serie; asumida la razón de su decisión basada en el decline del rating que tuvo la serie, Jacobs y Kelly, tuvieron un agraciado reencuentro laboral, uniéndose nuevamente para la creación de una nueva serie, 14 años después de Boy Meets World, de la cuál seguramente hablaré en un siguiente post, puesto a que es otra joya de estos maestros creadores de entretenimiento.
A series created by the incredible duo of writers and producers Michael Jacobs and April Kelly, who after having finished the seventh and last season of Boy Meets World, since the ABC network canceled the series; assuming the reason for their decision based on the decline in the rating of the series, Jacobs and Kelly, had a graceful reunion, joining again for the creation of a new series, 14 years after Boy Meets World, which I will surely talk about in a next post, since it is another gem of these master creators of entertainment.
MY OPINION ABOUT BOY MEETS WORLD.
Basándome en mi opinión tras haber visto esta serie, en lo poco que he podido recordar porque van varios años ya desde la última vez que vi un episodio de esta. Boy Meets World es una serie que abarca múltiples temas que se hacen presentes en la vida de un adolescente, desde el aspecto escolar y hasta la familia, los problemas y las relaciones. Es una historia capaz de otorgar muchas enseñanzas a quien es espectador de esta. En la serie, Cory es el personaje principal, dándose a conocer sus amistades, familiares y otros individuos a medida que la trama transcurre. Son distintos los personajes que marcan el crecimiento de Cory de maneras varias, muchos personajes adultos y adolescentes que enseñan grandes lecciones no solo a los mismos personajes de la historia, sino a todo aquel que vea la serie. Con un manejo genial al guión, con frases épicas y gran elección de elenco que quedó como anillo al dedo con los personajes a personificar en la historia.
Based on my opinion after having seen this series, in the little I have been able to remember because it's been several years since the last time I saw an episode of this one. Boy Meets World is a series that covers multiple themes that are present in the life of a teenager, from the school aspect to the family, problems and relationships. It is a story capable of teaching many lessons to those who watch it. In the series, Cory is the main character, making his friends, family and other individuals known as the plot unfolds. There are different characters that mark Cory's growth in various ways, many adult and teenage characters that teach great lessons not only to the characters in the story, but to everyone who watches the series. With a great handling of the script, with epic lines and great choice of cast that fit like a glove with the characters to embody in the story.
FuenteTal vez con lo que haya dicho se pueda entender que es una serie de carácter serio, pues la verdad es que, no tanto. A pesar de acarrear drama y temas de cotidianidad y un poco de realismo acerca de la vida adolescente y semi-adulta, esta es una serie que no pierde el toque de comedia, lo cual le agrega un excelente bonus en cuanto a sus pros.
Perhaps with what I have said it can be understood that it is a serious series, but the truth is, not so much. Despite carrying drama and everyday issues and a bit of realism about teenage and semi-adult life, this is a series that does not lose the touch of comedy, which adds an excellent bonus in terms of its pros.
Me gusta la manera en la que Jacobs y Kelly, creadores y productores de la serie, añadieron múltiples componentes esenciales en la realización de esta, dando a notar cómo a medida que los personajes crecen la historia va tomando rumbos más realistas sin perder la gracia, ni su toque cómico. Es Boy Meets World una serie que realmente recomiendo al público, quizás no en general, pero tal vez si al público mayoritario en edades relativamente consideradas. Para quienes aman las series un tanto viejas, aunque realmente 28 años no es tanta antigüedad, este drama juvenil de 1993 lo recomiendo a aquellos quienes quieran darle una oportunidad de verla.
I like the way in which Jacobs and Kelly, creators and producers of the series, added multiple essential components in the making of the series, noting how as the characters grow up the story takes a more realistic direction without losing its funny, comedic touch. Boy Meets World is a series that I really recommend to the public, maybe not in general, but perhaps to the majority public in relatively considered ages. For those who love old series, although 28 years is not really that old, I recommend this youth drama from 1993 to those who want to give it a chance to watch it.

Yo vi esta serie cuando la pasaba un canal nacional, creo que pude ver como una o hasta dos temporadas, pero después dejaron de transmitirla y no la vi mas, tiempo después me entere que siguió y que los que eran niños ya eran adolecentes, siempre pensé que fuera sido bueno ver las temporadas faltantes y ver por completo la serie, pero nunca me decido en empezarla otra vez.
