Si pudiera definir en una sola oración esta película diría: "Dulcemente trágica" No es apta para personas sensibles y menos para aquellas que de alguna manera nos sentimos identificado con ella.
¿Qué puedo decir? Que la amé, amé profundamente su estilo, es animación, las imágenes de muñequitos de plastilina perfectamente elaborados dentro de su horrorosidad y el estilo narrativo protagonista es aún mas crudo.
Y aun, y aun cuando crees que la vida del personaje puede acabar muy mal, termina sorprendiéndote al final y dejándote una linda esperanza. Sabes es como: Todo puede estar mal pero... Las coas pueden cambiar.
Aun estoy llorando, quizá estos días estoy más sensible de lo normal.
Amigos ustedes saben que siempre traigo para compartir grandes historias con moralejas que nos hacen pensar en la forma que llevamos nuestras vidas. Hay esperanza. No te quejes tanto y acciona.

If I could define this film in one sentence I would say: "Sweetly tragic". It is not suitable for sensitive people and even less for those of us who somehow feel identified with it.
What can I say? That I loved it, I deeply loved its style, it's animation, the images of little plasticine dolls perfectly elaborated within its horror. And the narrative style of the protagonist is even more raw.
And yet, and even when you think the character's life could end very badly, it ends up surprising you at the end and leaving you with a nice hope. You know, it's like: Everything can be bad but... Things can change.
I'm still crying, maybe these days I'm more sensitive than usual.
Friends you know that I always bring to share great stories with morals that make us think about the way we lead our lives. There is hope. Don't complain so much and take action.

Cuando empiezas a escuchar la historia de Grace piensas que la película es algo depresiva, una serie de acontecimientos trágicos estuvieron en su vida desde el momento de su nacimiento, hermana gemela de Gilbert que dentro de la narrativa es lo más cercano a lo que conozco en metafísica como alma gemela, ambos tienen una fuerte conexión y dependencia el uno del otro, Grace ve en su hermano un héroe que siempre la defiende y Gilbert encontró en su hermana la compañía sanadora y el sentido de su vida.
Grace pasó por todas las etapas de la vida de una persona normal, enfrentó adversidades y fuertes pérdidas, con baja autoestima y poca fe en sí misma, para luego llenarse de valor suficiente de cambiar su vida.
Grace nos enseña el poder de la resiliencia y de creer en nosotros mismos, que somos merecedores de la felicidad.

When you start listening to Grace's story you think that the film is somewhat depressing, a series of tragic events were in her life from the moment of her birth, twin sister of Gilbert who within the narrative is the closest thing to what I know in metaphysics as soul mate, both have a strong connection and dependence on each other, Grace sees in her brother a hero who always defends her and Gilbert found in his sister the healing companion and the meaning of his life.

Memoir of a snail dice ser una película animada para niños pero cuando la veas tal vez opines como yo que no es apta para menores de edad, hay escenas, desnudos y se tocan temas muy rudos como:
- Bullying
- Pornografía
- Sexo
- Religión
- Violencia infantil
- Acumulador compulsivo.
- Cleptomanía.
El tema de la religión tocado sutilmente en esta película está centrado en el fanatismo y la avaricia, sin duda, nos hará reflexionar mucho.
Podremos apreciar cómo el bullying puede afectar la confianza en nosotros mismos y nuestra calidad de vida, a pinto de creer que no somos merecedores de algo mejor y cohibirnos.
Grace debido a tantos traumas se convierte en una acumuladora compulsiva y una cleptómana, este último le trajo consecuencias graves con la justicia, tú tienes que ver su desenlace te impactará, vivió acumulando cosas, animales, todo el caos de su hogar era el reflejo de sus emociones, de su vida, de ese sentimiento de pérdida y apego que tenía, ahora... (Estoy segura que los que me escuchan en mi canal de Youtube, deben estar escuchando narrar esta review con mi voz en sus mentes ¡Qué dulce sensación!) La vida la llevó a contemplar el abismo y es cuando ella decide hacer el cambio...
Esta película me trajo recuerdos de mi queridísima @marpa, cuyo estilo único y característico de narrar historias con personajes hechos por ella misma en 'stop-motion' es tan especial para mí, porque fue el primer autor que vi cuando inicié en este mundo de la web 3, y su estilo, la calidad de sus post y su trabajo fueron mi inspiración mayor.
Esta película es toda una obra de arte, una obra maestra y en definitiva Adam Elliot se lució, me llegó al alma, se las recomiendo muy especialmente.
Los amo, gracias por estar en mi vida.

This movie brought back memories of my dearest @marpa, whose unique and characteristic style of storytelling with characters made by herself in 'stop-motion' and is so special to me because she was the first author I saw when I started in this world of web 3 and her style, the quality of her posts and work were my biggest inspiration.

I loved this movie. It was very touching and tragic and the art style was unique in a sort of Wallace and Grommit sort of way.
Am more intrested in the story line and i think I'll add it up to my list, because we certainly learn everyday even in movies. I'll give it a watch
Suena intensa, con esa mezcla de animación en plastilina y temas tan crudos... Me llama la atención cómo describes esa dualidad entre lo "dulcemente trágico" y el mensaje de esperanza al final. Definitivamente anotaré el nombre para verla! Saludos!
Tragedia reflexiva no es para niños, pero tal vez le puede servir a un adolescente o adulto joven.
Nada más con ver la expresión de esos ojitos tristes me siento afligida. El acumulador sufre mucho y su familia también.
