Forrest Gump is a 1994 American comedy-drama film directed by Robert Zemeckis and starring Tom Hanks, Robin Wright, Gary Sinise, Mykelti Williamson, and Sally Field. The film is based on the 1986 novel of the same name by Winston Groom, and tells the story of Forrest Gump, a slow-witted but kind-hearted man who embarks on an incredible journey through the pivotal events of the 20th century.
The film opens with Forrest sitting on a bench in Savannah, Georgia, waiting for a bus. As he waits, he tells the story of his life to anyone who will listen. Forrest was born with a weak heart and a low IQ, but he had a passion for running, which allowed him to overcome many obstacles and achieve great things.
Forrest's childhood was difficult, and he was often bullied because of his intellectual limitations. Despite this, he found solace in running and befriended a girl named Jenny, who lived across the street. Jenny had a difficult home life and often sought refuge at Forrest's house.

As they grew older, Forrest and Jenny's friendship deepened, but they eventually went their separate ways. Forrest enlisted in the army and was sent to Vietnam, where he fought bravely and earned the Medal of Honor. After the war, Forrest returned home and started a shrimp business, which became wildly successful.
Meanwhile, Jenny had a tumultuous life filled with drugs, abuse, and a string of failed relationships. Despite this, she and Forrest remained close, and she would often visit him in Alabama.
One day, Jenny showed up on Forrest's doorstep with a child, revealing that the child was Forrest's son. Forrest was shocked, but he accepted the child and raised him as his own. As Forrest's son grew up, he followed in his father's footsteps and became a talented runner.
The film ends with Forrest back on the bench in Savannah, reflecting on the incredible journey of his life. Despite the challenges he faced, Forrest remained optimistic and kind, and his story serves as a reminder of the power of perseverance and the importance of following your heart.

A movie from which life lessons can be learned
A true classic, I love Forest's innocence, his good heart and his desire to excel, he is an example of life.
It is true that the film at the beginning may seem a little slow for some viewers, but I think it is necessary to know the past of the characters, especially when they are as complex as this one, this way we will know very well their nature and essence.
