Hello fellow Cinephiles

This week on our "Monday's Match" I'm bringing you one of my favorite movies ever!
If you're someone who fantasizes and romanticizes other ages that you haven't had the chance to live, this one is for you.

I'm talking about:

- Title: "Midnight in Paris"
- Director: Woody Allen
- Cast: Owen Wilson; Rachel McAdams; Carla Bruni; Tom Hiddleston;
(and the rest of the cast is just as good)
- Genre(s): Comedy; Romance; Fantasy;
- Released: 2011
- Runtime: 1h 34m
- Plot: "Midnight in Paris" show us the pre-wedding season of Gil (Owen Wilson) and Inez (Rachel McAdams), who take advantage of her parents' business trip to Paris to have a "time-off", at least Inez.
Gil on the other hand is looking for something a little bit bigger. Inspiration on his dream of "raining Paris in the 20s".
During their trip, both want to do different things and that is when the plot thickens.
Eventually, Gil goes on a walk by himself and bumps into a group of strangers, who little did he know would lead him to meet his literary heroes.
What might sound like a dream can turn Gil's present life into a nightmare.

- My opinion: I'm not a big fan of Woody Allen's work. I don't follow up his work and more often than not, the chances of watching a movie he directed is on destiny's hand, or the cable program.
However, this movie is special.
Woody was spot on in this masterpiece.
Bringing together all the elements so the ordinary person can connect to the film and all the feelings he's trying to convey without having to be going through the exact situation as the characters.
We all have our relationships, troubles, certainties and uncertainties, inspiration and lack of it; Fantasies about this era or the one before, the feeling we were born in the wrong place at the wrong time, and that link us to Owen's character, but at times we need a reality check and that's when we identify with Rachel.
Paris looks wonderful in this movie, the spots were really well chosen and the filter and soundtrack really take us to our Paris imaginary.
All those factors were also very important so the movie seems to take place in "old-time" Paris.
We get carried away through all the adventures and "escapades".
To me, this is a 5 star one!
