Hello friends of this community! Well, the truth is that I start this post at the exact time that I see what I want to review, because I don't know if tomorrow I will have the same impetus to write as today, I don't have much desire to do. However, in spite of this state of mind, I have spent the last few days looking at some things I had pending and I will be writing my posts about them.
At this moment, it's two in the morning and I'm in love with a fascinating and addictive miniseries that was recommended to me a couple of days ago. I'm not lying when I say that I'm sitting watching the series as I comment, I don't want to miss anything and I don't want to overthink it when I wake up tomorrow, because I want this post to reflect my raw impression.
It's a British cop type miniseries, which is called DON'T TALK TO STRANGERS. It premiered in 2020 and consists of 8 chapters, you can be found on NETFLIX. It is based according to what I researched on a book of the same name by the writer Harlan Coben, who was also in charge of its creation for the screen.
It is a network of characters who keep a couple of secrets each. Secrets that are used by a girl to throw in their faces depending on what she needs from them, be it money or satisfaction. The first to fall into the entanglement is obviously the protagonist, Adam, who is approached by this stranger and drops a bombshell about his marriage and also with the possibilities of proving through evidence the information he had not asked for. The appearance of the young woman in Adam's life unleashes chaos and leads him to a desperate search for the truth.
A first chapter that I loved, and super believable actors; they were the first impression of this play. I had my head cracking trying to figure it out before the denouement, as we are used to, logically. A few things became clearer, by chapter 6, I was sure of a couple of details, but I couldn't put it all together. The inclusion of subplots and a script that was losing consistency made me rethink my euphoria while watching the series, because it stopped being a genius to become, in front of my eyes, a mixture of many unnecessary things.
I didn't like that the denouement was so short, I expected something more.I mean, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't amazing, and it seems to me that it was meant to be an amazing ending. Maybe I expected a solid relationship between the characters, their secrets and the events that took place in the eight chapters.However, I ended the series with a kind of feeling of dissatisfaction, because I was presented with a lot of information that later, at the time of the resolution of the issue was completely discarded, that is, I feel that I paid attention to details that then remained unsubstantiated, in the air.
As for the aesthetics of the miniseries, I liked its color palette. Sober, deep, creating a cozy atmosphere, if you will, that allows the viewer to feel immersed in space time with ease. At times it showed nice photography, especially in terms of landscapes, but nothing very spectacular, nor novel, I would be lying if I say that I could with just one image identify the series; something that can certainly be achieved with other works. I must say that at the beginning I was impressed by some things that later I could see a little forced, as I said, but at the time, helped the growth of uncertainty and keep me in suspense in front of the screen.
As everything in this social network, this is a very personal appreciation, and it goes without saying that I am not a professional in the subject and I watch series and movies for the pure pleasure of watching them. Now come the million dollar questions: Would I watch it again? I don't think so. Would I recommend it? Yes! Well, if one of these Sundays you feel like marathoning and you want to check if what I'm telling you here makes sense or not, I invite you to watch it. It's a series that works, it's not a nonsense at all, I think the speed with which things happen, the actors and the intrigue, managed to keep me as a viewer despite its inconsistencies and the excess of irrelevant information for the end.

Hola amigos de esta comunidad!! Bueno, la verdad comienzo esto en el tiempo exacto que veo lo que quiero reseñar, y es que no se si mañana tenga el mismo ímpetu que hoy de escribir, no tengo muchas ganas ultimamente de hacer. Sin embargo, muy a pesar de este estado de ánimo, he ocupado el tiempo estos últimos días es en ver algunas cosas que tenía pendientes y ahi voy a estarles escribiendo mis entradas sobre ellas.
En este momento, son las dos de la mañana y estoy prendada de una fascinante y adictiva miniserie que me habian recomendado hace un par de días. No les miento cuando digo que estoy sentada viendo la serie mientras les comento, no quiero que se me escape nada ni quiero sobrepensar el asunto al despertar, porque quiero que este post refleje mi impresión más cruda.
Se trata de una miniserie tipo policial británica, que se llama NO HABLES CON EXTRAÑOS. Estrenó en 2020 y consta de 8 captítulos, pueden encontrarla en NETFLIX, está basada según lo que investigué en un libro homónimo del escritor Harlan Coben, quien se encargó tambíen de su creación para la pantalla.
Es un entramado de personajes que guardan un par de secretos cada uno. Secretos que son utilizados por una chica para lazarselos a la cara según lo que requiera de ellos, sea dinero o satisfacción. El primero en caer en el enredo es obviamente el protagonista, Adam, al cual se le acerca esta extraña y le suelta una bomba sobre su matrimonio y además con las posibilidades de comprobar mendiante pruebas la información que él no le había pedido. La aparicion de la joven en la vida de Adam desata el caos y lo lleva a una desesperante busqueda de la verdad.
Un primer capítulo que me encantó, y actores super creibles; fueron la primera impresión de esta obra. Tenía la cabeza crackelada intentando descifrar el asunto antes del desenlace, como acostumbramos a hacerlo, lógicamente. Algunas cosas por ahi se iluminaron, al llegar al capitulo 6 estaba segura de un par de detalles, sin embargo no lograba concatenar todo. La inclusion de subtramas y un guión que fue perdiendo consistencia me hizo replantearme las euforia mientras veía la serie, porque dejó de ser una genialidad para convertirse, frente a mis ojos, en un mezclote de muchas cosas innecesarias.
No me gustó que el desenlace haya sido tan escueto, esperaba algo más. Quiero decir, no estuvo mal, pero no fue increible, y me parece que era para lograr un final increible. Quizá esperaba una sólida relación entre los personajes, sus secretos y los acontecimientos que se dieron espacio en los ocho capitulos. Sin embargo, teminé la serie con una especie de sentimiento de insatisfacción, porque me presentaron muchisima información que luego, a la hora de la resolución del asunto fue completamente descartada, es decir, siento que puse atención a detalles que luego quedaron sin sustento, en el aire.
En cuanto a la estética de la miniserie me gustó su paleta de colores. Sobrios, profundos, creando un clima si se quiere acogedor, que permite al espectador sentirse sumergido en el espacio tiempo con facilidad. De momentos mostró linda fotografía, especialmente en cuanto a paisajes se refiere, pero nada muy espectacular, ni novedoso, estaría mintiendo si le4s digo que podría con solo una imagen identificar la serie; cosa que sin duda puede lograrse con otras obras. Debo decir que al principio me impresionaron algunas cosas que luego pude ver un tanto forzadas, como dije, pero que en su momento, ayudaron al crecimiento de la incertidumbre y a mantenerme en vilo frente la pantalla.
Ojo que como todo en esta red social, esto es una apreciación personalísima, y demás está decir que yo no soy profesional en el tema y veo series y peliculas por el puro placer de verlas. Ahora vienen las preguntas del millón: ¿La volvería a ver? Creo que no. ¿La recomendaría? ¡Sí! Bueno, si un domingo de estos tienes ganas de maratonear y gustas revisar si tiene o no sentido lo que te estoy diciendo acá, te invito a que la veas. Es una serie que funciona, no es un disparate del todo, creo que la velocidad con la que suceden las cosas, los actores y la intriga, lograron mantenerme como espectadora muy a pesar de sus inconsistencias y el exceso de informacion irrelevante para el final.

Se ve interesante, contar a los desconocidos cosas que no se deben contar puede ser liberador para mucho por el tema de evitar la vergüenza pero cuando cae en oídos equivocados se vuelve realmente peligroso.
Esta interesante la serie, lastima que luego se pone medió desabrida. Pero te invito a verla...
Y con respecto a decir algún secreto a un desconocido, debe ser verdad que resulta liberador... un día lo intentaré! Jajaja. gracias por leer!
Hola! También la vi hace unos días y me pareció muy buena, pero tampoco me gustó mucho el desenlace, en mi caso me pareció demasiado cruda. Igualmente sí que logró atraparme igual que a vos, quería saber qué iba a pasar de manera permanente!

Hola amiga, una miniserie que suena muy divertida y será la típica serie que se necesita verla completa y de esa manera poder matar la intriga, ver que pasara con esos chismes. Esta es la primera vez que la escucho, puesto que en Netflix se encuentra de todo, sin duda me tocara verla. Gracias por compartirla con nosotros.
