I've only seen Sebastian Stan as the Winter Soldier, I'm curious what his performance is like in other types of roles. I really liked that you clarified that this movie doesn't contain torture scenes, because immediately what I relate to cannibalism is savage violence.
I'm not much of a fan of the horror genre, but "Fresh" sounds like a perfect one to watch with my brother. I have a question though, does the story wrap itself up at the end or will there be a sequel?
I think this is the first movie I've seen of Stan as the main protagonist and not as a supporting actor, which I have seen in several movies, such as Winter Soldier.
Regarding him cannibalism in this fim, I will say that it reminded me of what was done in the Hannibal series (which I recommend), it is more of a gourmet point of view than something grotesque, but as I say in the post, the simplicity of the story can be lost in the end but it doesn't really affect the movie itself and what it does do is open the door to other stories that maybe happen and that will surely be linked to this one.
My last recommendation is not to have too many expectations, that helped me to enjoy this story that I didn't expect much regardless of its main actors.
