It's a ** Sci-Fi** movie, based on real physics. the story is about the relation between a dad leaving and his daughter not wanting him to. i dont understand your issue with that. its a regular thing in movies.
the surviving the black hole and fingering the strings is a bit too much of a stretch for me, and the hole humans built wherever he was in, in comparison with the rest of the movie. it was just a thing that happened, without much explanation, but it leaves space for imagination i guess
but overall, its a pretty good movie. the visuals out in space are fantastic. the music as well. then there's multiple things the movie includes that are current (for the time) sciency topics; AI robots. time warping (or whatever; 1 hour in the planet is 10 years in the spaceship). global catastrophe. quantum entanglement plus a few more sciency stuff. the movie mixes a lot of these topics and added a heart felt story to the mix. its a great science fiction movie!
i should say i dont rewatch it, but i still cant say it not deserving of an 8/9 (a 9 was definitely because of Hans Zimmer), but still.
