Empieza en una costa preciosa, paradisiaca, hawaiana y empieza a rodar una secuencia de varias mujeres alrededor del mundo, relatando su experiencia con el que parece ser la cita perfecta con el hombre ideal, cada una describe aspectos bien “románticos”, mientras una habla, todas escuchan esta historia de amor pasional que te quedas, loc@, hay una cantidad enorme de mujeres que habla sobre esto y en distintas partes del mundo, y todas llegan al mismo hombre Henry Roth, un galán, con tantas disciplinas y aptitudes que lo vuelve el hombre perfecto pero igual que antes todas concordaron en que había un problema al final, Henry tenía que irse, para nunca más hablar con ellas, dejándolas en el limbo, enamoradas y alejadas de él. Llegamos a la última chica, una rubia alta que estaba hablando con el hombre de esta historia, Henry, ella muy disgustada y triste porque él tiene que irse ya que es un agente secreto, el muy apurado por terminar de salir de la situación fingiendo su papel bastante mal de agente logra cortar la situación al irse, sin darle siquiera un abrazo (un hombre frío, sin duda) ya que hay que ser impredecibles y se lanza a una moto acuática siendo manejada por un desconocido, el desconocido super extrañado que un loco se haya lanzado a su moto mientras manejaba le reclama pero Henry le dice que le dará 20 dólares (no solo frio sino inteligente).
It starts on a beautiful, paradisiacal, Hawaiian coast and begins to shoot a sequence of several women around the world, relating their experience with what seems to be the perfect date with the ideal man, each one describing very "romantic" aspects, while one speaks, all listen to this story of passionate love that makes you go crazy, there is a huge amount of women talking about this and in different parts of the world, and they all come to the same man Henry Roth, a gallant, with so many disciplines and skills that makes him the perfect man but as before they all agreed that there was a problem at the end, Henry had to leave, never to talk to them again, leaving them in limbo, in love and far away from him. We got to the last girl, a tall blonde who was talking to the man of this story, Henry, she very upset and sad because he has to leave since he is a secret agent, he very rushed to finish getting out of the situation faking his role quite badly as an agent manages to cut the situation by leaving, without even giving her a hug (a cold man, no doubt) since you have to be unpredictable and jumps on a jet ski being driven by a stranger, the stranger super weirded out that a crazy man jumped on his bike while driving complains but Henry tells him he will give him 20 dollars (not only cold but smart).
Aca, inicia una escena bastante de peculiar donde se ve a Henry cosiendo una herida bastante grande a un señor llamado Ula que es como amigo de él, mientras los que parecen ser sus hijos (evidentemente los son) ven por el cristal el acuario y graban, mientras le cosen la herida a Ula hablan sobre varios detalles, henry es veterinario y le tiene mucho miedo al compromiso, por eso su regla número uno es no estar con chicas de la isla para no sentirse atado o en algo, cuando termina de coser llega Alexa que es aparentemente la cuidadora/vigilante de los animales y es medio rusa(?).
Here, starts a very peculiar scene where Henry is sewing a big wound to a man named Ula who is like a friend of his, while his children (evidently they are) see through the glass the aquarium and record, while they sew the wound to Ula they talk about several details, henry is a veterinarian and is very afraid of commitment, that's why his number one rule is not to be with girls on the island so he doesn't feel tied down or in something, when he finishes sewing Alexa arrives who is apparently the caretaker/vigilante of the animals and is half Russian(? ).
Llega a este espacio donde están Henry y Ula, él corre hasta allí para ver a una morsa que está en las últimas, le pide a Alexa que chequee la temperatura del agua y ella se lanza(?), vuelve para buscar el termómetro y la detiene para que busque un pescado más frío en el tambor y se sumerge para buscar hasta el fondo en esa agua de pescados… La cosa es que henry trata de hacerle unas compresiones a la morsa para poder que respire de nuevo y le pide a esta cuidadora que ponga su cara al frente para ver si respiraba, y como se esperaba, al hacer la segunda compresión vomita todo y cae todo en la cuidadora y ella solo se enorgullece de haber estado ahí porque por eso eligió ese trabajo, todo sea por ayudar a los animales (todo muy raro por si me lo preguntan), aunque seguidamente que se va Henry y la morsa comienzan a bailar y festejar porque fue justo como habían planeado.
He gets to this space where Henry and Ula are, he runs over there to see a walrus that is on its last legs, asks Alexa to check the water temperature and she dives(? ), goes back to get the thermometer and stops her to look for a colder fish in the drum and dives down to search to the bottom in that fishy water.... The thing is that Henry tries to do some compressions to the walrus to get it to breathe again and asks this caregiver to put her face in front to see if it was breathing, and as expected, when he does the second compression he vomits everything and it all falls on the caretaker and she is just proud of having been there because that's why she chose that job, all to help the animals (all very strange if you ask me), although after Henry and the walrus leave they start dancing and celebrating because it was just as they had planned.
Aparece henry en su barco (con cierto parecido al perla negra) navegando las aguas cristalinas del lugar en busca de morsas pero ocurre una tragedia y la vela de su bote se rompe dejándolo varado así que en su botecito de emergencias se dirige a la costa, llegando a un restaurante, donde solo pide café aunque la dependienta le servirá unas huevos con spam además de eso, ahí divisa comiendo a una chica hermosa que capta toda su atención y queda lelo, mientras ella hace un volcancito con waffles, y mientras la ve un señor le pregunta si es a él o a ella porque ya lo está poniendo nervioso (la mejor escena ever) le replica que siga comiendo y lo deje en paz.
Henry appears in his boat (with a certain resemblance to the black pearl) sailing the crystalline waters of the place in search of walruses but a tragedy happens and the sail of his boat breaks leaving him stranded so in his little emergency boat he goes to the coast, arriving at a restaurant, where he only orders coffee although the waitress will serve him some eggs with spam on top of that, There he spots a beautiful girl eating, who captures all his attention and he is left in a daze, while she makes a little volcano with waffles, and while he sees her a man asks him if it is him or her because she is already making him nervous (the best scene ever) he replies that she should keep eating and leave him alone.
Al otro dia, haciendole un ultrasonido a una morsa platica con la cuidadora y ella le explica que anda de mal humor porque últimamente las relaciones íntimas andan muy malas y le dice que esa noche lo espera desnuda en su aposento para que el le haga lo que quiera y él solo le dice que si no sabe que no le gustan los hombres (literalmente que).
The next day, doing an ultrasound on a walrus, he talks to the caretaker and she explains that she is in a bad mood because lately intimate relations have been very bad and tells him that that night she is waiting for him naked in her room so he can do whatever he wants to her and he just tells her that he doesn't know that she doesn't like men (literally that).
Al siguiente día él se dirige directo a desayunar a este restaurante con la esperanza de que esté ella y efectivamente, lo está, pide lo mismo que antes y se sienta al frente de ella; ella solo está armando una casita con waffles y él se le acerca con una palillo para hacer una bisagra a la puerta hecha de waffle, ella super sorprendida lo invita a sentarse con ella ya que estaba solo. platican todo el dia teniendo tantas cosas en común que están perdidos ya, la dependienta les dice que ya cerrara y ellos evidentemente sin más que hacer se van, aunque cuadran todo para verse a la mañana siguiente, emocionados se van en sus respectivos autos y a la mañana siguiente… él llega más temprano que nunca para encontrarse con ella y ella solo llega, el como (mas o menos…) se sienta con ella y le habla como si nada quisiera seguir con la conversación como ayer; ella solo se extraña y le pide que se aleje y el más extrañado aún, le habla sobre más cosas y ella pide ayuda ya que nunca había visto a ese tipo tan pervertido.

Hey, esta película es una joya, me encanta y no es solo como actúan todos sino como es la trama, aunque siempre, desde que la vi la primera vez y hasta ahora me sigue pareciendo raro que el papa tuviera tanto dinero, solo veanlo y piensenlo un poco, total, sus músicas de fondos me encantan y los paisajes lo son aún más, recomendable al 100% si no la has visto y si la has visto, no cae mal verla otra vez.
Hey, this movie is a gem, I love it and it's not only how they all act but how the plot is, although always, since I saw it the first time and until now I still find it strange that the pope had so much money, just watch it and think about it a little, overall, I love the background music and the landscapes even more, 100% recommendable if you haven't seen it and if you have seen it, it doesn't hurt to see it again.

Es una de mis comedias románticas favoritas, Sandler y Barrymore tienen una química genial y su premisa es simple y sirve para balancear muy bien los momentos emotivos con la comedia.
Que tal! Es que no me gusta dar una explicación acerca de mis pensamientos de forma extendida ya que creo que podría influir en el pensamiento objetivo de otra persona. Trato de ser lo mas general posible, mi idea es dar una sinopsis extendida de lo que yo aprecio podría interesar. Can you imagine having to spend your life living the same way day after day without knowing that you are in an endless cycle? This movie is obviously tremendously good for the style and taken to comedy. A feature length romance/comedy that grabs you from start to finish and for me in particular made me think what I state at the beginning. Good review @imnotruben 👌🏻
Amo esta historia, creo que es única en su estilo, además que me gusto mucho ver a Adam en el papel de hombre enamorado, que para la época que salio no estaba acostumbrada a verlo en esos papeles, así que fue una linda historia sin duda y una idea muy original, sobretodo porque hace honor a su titulo.
