Siempre se ha pensado que las segundas temporadas, por lo general, no suelen alcanzar el nivel de sus antecesoras, creo que esto es por el hype que se puede generar en torno a una producción nueva y la forma en como la percibe la audiencia. Los gustos y la llamada calidad son muy relativos pero casi siempre van en la misma dirección cuando algo es realmente bueno o malo. La primera temporada de The Night Agent fue muy buena, dejó muchas expectativas en las personas de cara a la segunda parte. Pues esta parte ya llegó y hay que decir que es bastante mejor, por lo menos para mi. Hay una subida de tensión y conspirativa importante que hace que sea muy difícil dejar de verla.

It has always been thought that second seasons, in general, do not usually reach the level of their predecessors, I think this is because of the hype that can be generated around a new production and the way the audience perceives it. Tastes and so called quality are very relative but they almost always go in the same direction when something is really good or bad. The first season of The Night Agent was very good, it left a lot of expectations in people for the second part. Well, this part is here and we have to say that it is much better, at least for me. There is an important rise of tension and conspiracy that makes it very difficult to stop watching it.

Esta nueva entrega es una continuación de la primera parte; hay que verla para poder entender esta? - si, es recomendable. La primera parada es en Bangkok en donde Peter (Gabriel Basso) estará en una misión con Alice (Brittany Snow), su nueva compañera. Aquello no sale bien y es que desde el mismo principio comenzamos a ver y notar las conspiraciones y los hilos moviéndose desde la oscuridad. Todo aquello va mutando hasta llegar a convertirse en un problema de seguridad nacional, como siempre, para los Estados Unidos. Se comienza a escuchar sobre traidores, dobles agentes, contrainteligencia, programas secretos gubernamentales que se creían que estaban en el olvido, etc.

We begin to hear about traitors, double agents, counter-intelligence, secret government programs that were thought to be forgotten, etc.

Lo interesante de esta parte de la historia es que por muchos capítulos va en dos caminos, el nombrado anteriormente y uno que tiene que ver con la típica geopolítica y los "enemigos" de siempre de USA, en este caso Irán. Se crea una pequeña trama, muy tensionante y llena de suspenso, hay que decirlo, entre la misión de dicho país en Estados Unidos y una posible y futura desertora del régimen islámico. Creo que más allá de la trama principal esta subtrama se lleva todas las miradas por par de elementos: lo que representa la política iraní y su forma de hacer las cosas y por el gran nivel de actores y por ende de personajes que vemos en ella. Al final veremos como todo se conecta resultando una trama muy top y llena de profundidad.

The interesting thing about this part of the story is that for many chapters it goes in two directions, the one mentioned above and one that has to do with typical geopolitics and the usual “enemies” of the USA, in this case Iran. A small plot is created, very tense and full of suspense, it must be said, between the mission of that country in the United States and a possible and future defector of the Islamic regime. I think that beyond the main plot, this subplot gets all the attention for a couple of elements: what Iranian politics represents and its way of doing things and for the high level of actors and therefore of characters that we see in it. In the end we will see how everything connects resulting in a very top plot full of depth.

Esta temporada es mucho más thriller que la primera, ver cada capítulo es una agonía porque siempre aplican los "cliffhanger" haciendo que la expectativa sea abrumadora. Las situaciones que se crean son realmente extenuantes llevando al límite todo, a los personajes y a la misma trama haciendo que la solución final sea exprimida al máximo nivel. Hay varios giros o plot twist interesantes, sobre todo al final de temporada que hace que entiendas de una vez el por que de todo lo sucedido. Habiendo dicho, si, es más que seguro que habrá una tercera temporada, el final es muy abierto y con un problema mucho más grande a la vista del que alguna vez se han enfrentado.

This season is much more thriller than the first one, watching each chapter is an agony because they always apply the “cliffhanger” making the expectation overwhelming. The situations that are created are really exhausting taking everything to the limit, the characters and the plot itself making the final solution to be squeezed to the maximum level. There are several interesting twists or plot twist, especially at the end of the season that makes you understand once and for all why everything happened. Having said that, yes, it is more than certain that there will be a third season, the ending is very open ended and with a much bigger problem in sight than they have ever faced.

No hay muchas escenas grandes de acción, se centraron más en la diplomacia y en la conspiración. Si hay algunas peleas y persecuciones pero tampoco fue el fuerte, el vuelco que le dieron en esta segunda temporada fue muy acertado. Es imposible que te aburras, son 10 capítulos y yo los vi en dos días. Los personajes. Hay que hablar de Javad (Keon Alexander), el jefe de inteligencia de la misión iraní. Un actor muy top, creo que es el mejor personaje de esta temporada, lo llegas a detestar bastante pero eso es por el gran trabajo que hace tanto como actor como dentro de su papel. En general el elenco está muy logrado, hay nuevas caras que lo hacen de 10. Noor (Arienne Mandi) es otra que se lleva las miradas.

In this season there are not many big action scenes, they focused more on diplomacy and conspiracy. If there are some fights and chases but it was not the strongest, the turn they gave in this second season was very successful. It is impossible to get bored, there are 10 chapters and I saw them in two days. The characters. We have to talk about Javad (Keon Alexander), the head of intelligence of the Iranian mission. A very top actor, I think he is the best character of this season, you get to hate him quite a lot but that's because of the great job he does both as an actor and within his role. Overall the cast is very accomplished, there are new faces that make it 10. Noor (Arienne Mandi) is another one that gets the looks.

Tanto el protagonista como Rose (Luciane Buchanan) tienen una conexión que es innegable. Me gusta mucho el trabajo de ella, es la típica persona que no le tiene miedo a nada y que hará todo en pro de la misión. En fin, una serie que mejoró significativamente esta segunda temporada, no esperaba que fuera así pero si, vale mucho la pena verla, es un verdadero éxito en Netflix. Le doy 8/10. Both the main character and Rose (Luciane Buchanan) have a connection that is undeniable. I really like her work, she is the typical person who is not afraid of anything and will do anything for the mission. Anyway, a series that improved significantly this second season, I didn't expect it to be like this but yes, it's really worth watching, it's a real hit on Netflix. I give it 8/10.
