I love this movie. It is part of what was called the new wave of French extreme horror hahaha, that's what a film critic said in a derogatory way and it stuck, because at that time there were several French directors who made horror with scenes and plots that left the audience in shock. I am a fan of extreme and bloody movies. This one for me is a work of art.

I agree with you, the movie is really great although I found some of the scenes very disturbing. French movies, like "Irreversible", have this gift of being very disturbing 😅
