Hello to all my friends fans of good stories, I hope you are doing great today... I'm coming back full of adrenaline, because last night I saw again the movie John Wick: Chapter 4, and today I would like to share with you all my opinions about it... so I decided to bring you a new review... this movie seems to me a complete madness, and I'm not only saying that because I'm a fan of the saga since the beginning, but it really has something special. I feel that it was a movie that stood out for its story and for what they want to bring us back to the table, being part of a franchise that was already spectacular, I felt it very fresh. But first things first, let's talk about the action... I really knew it was going to be good, but honestly I wasn't prepared for the level of creativity they reached in this installment, the first time I saw this movie I was blown away with all the combat choreography, and especially the innovative use of the scenery, every moment takes your breath away.
There is a certain scene in the triumphal arch that simply blew my mind.. it's a mix of chase, melee and vehicular mayhem that I have never seen before in any other movie, it's a storm of adrenaline and excitement that will definitely satisfy fans of unbridled action... There is a scene filmed from a central shot that feels almost as if you were playing a video game, and you are presented with a choreography so well executed that it looks like art, the synchronicity between the actors, the special effects and the camera seemed perfect to me, especially in the scenes of that central shot that I was telling you... all the movements of the actors flow in such an organic way that really goes hand in hand with the effects of the shots, and the camera transitions play a very important role to give you a very realistic cinematography, and at the same time unique. I think there's a lot to be said for the tremendous, meticulously rehearsed choreography that these actors were practicing... every element is in its place, and it creates a visual harmony that keeps you hooked to the screen at all times, I think it's a master class in how to do action, and above all good action, that is visually stunning and doesn't feel lame at all.
Hola a todos amigos fanáticos de las buenas historias, espero que estén super bien el día de hoy.. vengo bastante lleno de adrenalina, pues anoche vi de nuevo la película de John Wick: Chapter 4, y hoy quisiera compartir con todos ustedes mis opiniones sobre esto.. así que decidí traerles una nueva reseña.. esta película me parece una completa locura, y no solo lo digo porque soy fan de la saga desde el principio, sino que realmente tiene algo especial. Siento que fue una película que destacó por su historia y por lo que nos quieren traer de nuevo a la mesa, siendo parte de una franquicia que ya era espectacular, la sentí muy fresca. Pero primero, lo primero, hablemos de la acción.. yo realmente sabía que iba a ser buena, pero honestamente no estaba preparado para el nivel de creatividad que alcanzaron en esta entrega, la primera vez que vi esta película quedé impactado con todas las coreografías de combate, y sobre todo del uso innovador de los escenarios, cada momento te deja sin aliento.
Hay cierta escena en el arco del triunfo que simplemente me voló la cabeza.. es una mezcla de persecución, combate cuerpo a cuerpo y caos vehicular que no había visto nunca antes en ninguna otra película, es una tormenta de adrenalina y emoción que sin duda dejará satisfechos los fanáticos de la acción desenfrenada.. Hay una escena filmada desde un plano central que siente casi como si estuvieras jugando un videojuego, y te presentan una coreografía tan bien ejecutada que parece arte, la sincronía entre los actores, los efectos especiales y la cámara me pareció perfecta, sobre todo en las escenas de ese plano central que les decía.. todos los movimientos de los actores fluyen de una manera tan orgánica que va realmente de la mano de los efectos de los disparos, y las transiciones de cámara juegan un papel importantísimo para darte una cinematografía muy realista, y a la vez única. Creo que da mucho que decir de la tremenda coreografía meticulosamente ensayada que estuvieron practicando estos actores.. cada elemento está en su lugar, y crea una armonía visual que te mantiene enganchado a la pantalla en todo momento, opino que es una clase maestra de cómo hacer acción, y sobre todo una acción buena, que sea visualmente impactante y que no se sienta para nada pobre.
Talking a bit about the visual aspects, I found this movie a feast for the eyes... the contrasts between the neon colors, the red and blue tones, the scenes that combine nature with brutality, are simply beautiful... there are moments when I literally wanted to pause the movie to take a screenshot and frame it. . from the cherry blossom scenes to the old churches to the underground clubs, each scene has its own personality and feels like another character in the story, you have to give a round of applause to the cinematographers of this film.
Now, something I loved about this movie is how it keeps expanding its world... each movie gives us more rules, more details about the High Table and more characters that enrich the mythology of this universe, for example, in this installment we discover how the dueling traditions become a life to resolve conflicts, which not only adds depth to the rules of the High Table, but also creates a lot of dramatic tension throughout the story... in this installment we are also introduced to the character of Kane, played by Donnie Yen, who completely steals every scene he appears in.. he is a blind assassin with abilities that defy all logic, but he does it in such a natural way that you completely believe it.. the first scene where he fights is pure visual storytelling, without a single word, and at the same time you completely understand his style, his confidence and all his experience, he is the kind of character that could have his own movie and it would be a resounding success.
Then we are introduced to the character of Traker, who brings something very special to the film.. his connection to his dog is not only a nod to the reason it all started in the first film, but also very reminiscent of this emotion that makes the franchise so much more than just random shootouts and fights, but deep down really has a heart and tries to get to the fiber of your emotions. Speaking of more characters... I also liked the character of the Marquis de Gramont, played by Bill Skarsgard, he is a sleek and calculating villain, and while he could have been a bit more savage, I loved his development and conclusion.
Hablándoles un poco de los aspectos visuales, esta película me pareció un festín para los ojos.. los contrastes entre los colores neón, los tonos rojos y azules, las escenas que combinan naturaleza con brutalidad, son simplemente hermosos.. hay momentos en los que, literalmente, yo quería pausar la película para tomar una captura y enmarcarla.. desde las escenas de los cerezos en las flores, hasta las iglesias antiguas y los clubes clandestinos, cada escenario tiene su propia personalidad y se siente como un personaje más en la historia, hay que darle un aplauso a los encargados de la fotografía de esta película.
Ahora, algo que me encantó de esta película es cómo sigue expandiendo su mundo.. cada película nos da más reglas, más detalles sobre la Alta Mesa y más personajes que enriquecen la mitología de este universo, por ejemplo, en esta entrega descubrimos cómo las tradiciones del duelo se convierten en una vida para resolver conflictos, lo que no solo añade profundidad a las reglas de la Alta Mesa, sino que también crea mucha tensión dramática en toda la historia.. en esta entrega nos presentan también al personaje de Kane, interpretado por Donnie Yen, quien se roba por completo cada escena en la que aparece.. es un asesino ciego con habilidades que desafían toda la lógica, pero lo hace de una manera tan natural que lo crees por completo.. la primera escena en la que pelea es pura narración visual, sin una sola palabra, y al mismo tiempo entiendes completamente su estilo, su confianza y toda su experiencia, es el tipo de personaje que podría tener su propia película y sería un rotundo éxito.
Luego nos presentamos al personaje de Traker, que aporta algo muy especial a la película.. su conexión con su perro no solo es un guiño a la razón por la que todo empezó en la primera película, sino que también recuerda mucho esta emoción que hace que la franquicia sea mucho más que disparos y peleas aleatorias, sino que en el fondo realmente tiene un corazón y trata de llegar hasta la fibra de tus emociones. Hablando de más personajes.. también me gustó el personaje de el Marquis de Gramont, interpretado por Bill Skarsgard, es un villano elegante y calculador, y aunque podría haber sido un poco más salvaje, me encantó su desarrollo y su conclusión.
Another thing I would like to point out is that I was surprised by how they managed to balance the course and emotional moments with the extreme violence... there are some sentences in Latin that are like reflections, dilemmas, that give a philosophical touch to the movie that I wasn't expecting, and even though John Wick is still a man of few words, those sentences have weight and make everything feel deeper... it's impressive how a movie with so little dialogue can say so much. Now, I consider that not everything is perfect, clearly.. there are moments that can feel a bit absurd, like the scene in the club where they are killing people and everyone is still dancing as if nothing.. maybe it would have been more coherent to show some more varied reactions among the attendees, like some running away terrified while others remain indifferent, I think that would have added a touch more realism without losing the exaggerated style characteristic of the franchise.
Yes, I understand it's part of the unique style these movies have, but sometimes that flaw takes a little bit out of the whole eperience.. also, even though I love the action, I feel that in some points they could have made more pauses to let the story breathe and let the characters develop a little more.. it wouldn't have been bad at all to connect a little more with them and make those emotional moments could shine and explode in a better way.
Otra cosa que quisiera destacar es que me sentí sorprendido por cómo lograron equilibrar los momentos cursos y emocionales con la violencia extrema.. hay algunas frases en latín que son como reflexiones, dilemas, que le dan un toque filosófico a la película que yo no me esperaba, y aunque John Wick sigue siendo un hombre de pocas palabras, esas frases tienen peso y hacen que todo se sienta más profundo.. es impresionante cómo una película con tan poco diálogo puede decir tanto. Ahora, considero que no todo está perfecto, claramente.. hay momentos que pueden sentirse un poco absurdos, como la escena en el club donde están matando a gente y todos siguen bailando como si nada.. quizá habría sido más coherente mostrar algunas reacciones más variadas entre los asistentes, como algunos huyendo aterrorizados mientras otros permanecen indiferentes, creo que eso habría añadido un toque más de realismo sin perder el estilo exagerado característico de la franquicia.
Sí, entiendo que es parte del estilo único que tienen estas películas, pero a veces esa falla se saca un poco de toda la experiencia.. también, aunque amo la acción, siento que en algunos puntos podrían haber hecho más pausas para dejar la historia respiré y dejar que los personajes se desarrollaran un poco más.. no habría estado nada mal para conectar un poco más con ellos y hacer que esos momentos emocionales pudieran brillar y explotar de mejor manera.
I like how this story respects its protagonist, John Wick is a character that feels like a legend, and this movie cements him even more.... Keanu Reeves is awesome as always, it's amazing to think that at 58 years old he's still training and doing a lot of his own action scenes.. it's a commitment that really shows on screen and makes everything feel so much more authentic and unique. If I had to discover in this movie one word, it would be spectacle, it's an experience that, if you haven't seen it, you have to see it, and I'm sure you will manage to appreciate it just like I did.. although some things could be improved, like the development of certain characters or the coherence in some scenes, it's easy to overlook them when you are having so much fun... I think John Wick: Chapter 4, is a movie that takes action to another level... it gives you stunning visuals, memorable characters, and a world that keeps growing more and more fascinating.
Who knows what they might bring us for the next one? If you, like me, are a fan of the saga, surely you have already seen it, and can attest to its excellent quality... and if you are not, I recommend you give it a chance, even if you haven't seen the previous ones, I think you might enjoy it just the same... for me it's a very good movie, so I give it a 9/10. Me gusta como esta historia respeta a su protagonista, John Wick es un personaje que se siente como una leyenda, y esta película lo consolida aún más.. Keanu Reeves es impresionante, como siempre, es increíble pensar que a sus 58 años sigue entrenando y haciendo muchas de sus propias escenas de acción.. es un compromiso que realmente se nota en pantalla y hace que todo se sienta mucho más auténtico y único. Si tuviera que descubrir en esta película una palabra, sería espectáculo, es una experiencia que, si no la han visto, tienen que verla, y estoy seguro que lograrán apreciarla igual que yo.. aunque algunas cosas podrían mejorarse, como el desarrollo de ciertos personajes o la coherencia en algunas escenas, es fácil pasarlas por alto cuando te estás divirtiendo tanto.. Yo creo que John Wick: Chapter 4, es una película que lleva la acción a otro nivel.. te brinda unos visuales impresionantes, personajes memorables, y un mundo que sigue creciendo más y más de manera fascinante.
¿Quién sabe qué nos pueden traer para la próxima? Si tú, al igual que yo, eres un fanático de la saga, seguramente ya la habrás visto, y podrás dar testimonio de su excelente calidad.. y si no lo eres, te recomiendo que le des una oportunidad, incluso si no has visto las anteriores, creo que podrías disfrutarla igual.. para mí es una película muy buena, así que le doy un 9/10.
