Hello everyone! I hope you're having a great day today, Movies and TV Shows community, this time I bring you a new review, this time I'll give you my opinions, and the whole journey that was watching the movie: Uncut Gems.. if you haven't seen it, you'll surely be surprised, it stars Adam Sandler, do you remember Click, Grown Ups? Forget about that because here he transforms into a guy that blows your mind.. the way he acts, when he's running from one side to another, talking on the phone, and how he shows you all the emotions, from being totally down to feeling like the king, is crazy.. there is a scene, to tell you something, where he is dealing with a very angry client and at the same time thinking about how he is going to bet..
That double morality in his acting is on another level, the Sandler of laughter is completely erased from you.. Howard's acting is one of the best I have seen in a long time.. the dramatic Sandler is a gem, really.. we see him transform into a jeweler in New York, a gambling addict who gets into more and more trouble, he is manipulative, abusive and sometimes you hate him, but you still want to keep seeing what will happen to him.. I don't know if it's his charisma, but it seems that this guy is a bomb about to explode and the whole movie is pure adrenaline..

Espero que se encuentren genial el día de hoy, comunidad de Movies and TV Shows, en esta ocasión les traigo una nueva reseña, esta vez les daré mis opiniones, y todo el viaje que fue ver la película: Uncut Gems.. si no la han visto, seguro se sorprendan, la protagoniza Adam Sandler, ¿se acuerdan de Click, Son como niños? Olvídense de eso porque aquí se transforma en un tipo que te vuela la cabeza.. la forma en que actúa, cuando está corriendo de un lado a otro, hablando por teléfono, y cómo te muestra todas las emociones, desde el bajón total hasta sentirse el rey, es una locura.. hay una escena, por decirles algo, donde está lidiando con un cliente enojadísimo y al mismo tiempo pensando en cómo va a apostar..
Esa doble moralidad en su actuación es de otro nivel, se te borra por completo el Sandler de las risas.. la actuación de Howard, es de las mejores que he visto en mucho tiempo.. el Sandler dramático es una joya, de verdad.. lo vemos transformarse en un joyero en Nueva York, un vicioso de las apuestas que se mete en cada vez más líos, es manipulador, abusivo y a veces lo odias, pero igual quieres seguir viendo qué va a pasar con él.. no sé si es su carisma, pero parece que este tipo es una bomba a punto de explotar y toda la película es pura adrenalina..
This movie is totally crazy from minute one... every scene has your heart in your mouth, it doesn't even give you a chance to breathe, I swear you feel like the chaos of Howard's life becomes your own chaos... it's like being on an emotional roller coaster that only goes up... without a second of calm, the pace is so frenetic that you live each one of his decisions as if they were your own... the anxiety reaches your neck, and you ask yourself: "How can something so chaotic get you so hooked?" I swear you feel trapped in Howard's world, the camera follows you closely, with those close shots you feel like there's no way out, as if you were locked up with him in his store or in his endless problems...
And the sound, wow, the sound design is so brutal that you almost feel the stress of this guy on your skin, voices, music, noise everywhere... all mixed together and it saturates you, but in the best way... it's like they forced you into his head... and the music... it's almost like another character in the movie. It's not just there to accompany you, it pulls you in, it envelops you and keeps you glued to your seat... there are times when you don't know if you want to scream at the TV or hide, and the sound mix is so heavy that even the voices seem to compete with the music for volume, it completely disorients you, but that's the idea, of course... it makes you feel exactly like Howard: overwhelmed, desperate and always on the edge of the precipice.
Esta película es una locura total desde el minuto uno.. cada escena te tiene con el corazón en la boca, no te da chance ni de respirar, te juro que sientes que el caos de la vida de Howard se vuelve tu propio caos.. es como estar en una montaña rusa emocional que solo va para arriba.. sin un segundo de calma, el ritmo es tan frenético que vives cada una de sus decisiones como si fueran tuyas.. la ansiedad te llega al cuello, y te preguntas: "¿Cómo algo tan caótico puede engancharte tanto?". Te juro que te sientes atrapado en el mundo de Howard, la cámara te persigue de cerca, con esos planos cerrados te sientes que no hay salida, como si estuvieras encerrado con él en su tienda o en sus problemas interminables..
Y el sonido, wow, el diseño de sonido es tan brutal que casi sientes el estrés de este tipo en la piel, voces, música, ruido por todos lados... todo mezclado que te satura, pero de la mejor manera.. es como si te metieran en su cabeza a la fuerza.. y la música.. es casi como un personaje más de la película. No está ahí solo para acompañar, ¡te jala, te envuelve y te mantiene pegado al asiento.. hay momentos que no sabes si quieres gritarle a la tele o esconderte, y es que la mezcla de sonido es tan heavy que hasta las voces parecen competir con la música por el volumen, te desorienta por completo, pero es la idea, claro.. te hace sentir exactamente como Howard: abrumado, desesperado y siempre al borde del precipicio.
But I have to say what blew my mind the most is how it puts you in the mind of a gambling addict... there's a scene, I'm not going to spoil it, with a basketball game that... man! Never in my life have I cared so much whether they scored or not, I was there, glued to the couch, sweating cold, praying for it to go well! That's what the Safdie brothers do, the great directors, they make you feel every second of stress, every stupid thing he does, every scream and every lie as if it were happening to you... and the cast, ufff! Julia Fox... you can't take your eyes off her, her character has such a toxic relationship with Howard that it draws you in, no matter what. And Kevin Garnett, playing himself, is a total surprise... I never thought a basketball player could act well, seriously, plus, a lot of the extras are people who really work in the diamond district... that gives a super real vibe to the whole environment, and the photography, what can I say? Crazy! The shine, the lights, the colors... for example, there is a scene where Howard is looking at the opal in the light, and the camera gets so close that you can almost touch the textures and sparkles of the stone.
Another shot that left its mark on me was when they focus on Howard behind the glass of his store, full of reflections that show his world in pieces, total chaos.. each shot is designed to make you sink deeper into his thing, the reflections, the lights, the colors.. everything makes you feel like you are inside a jewel, trapped in the shine and hardness of an opal... it's as if the film connects Howard's ambition with that precious stone, do you understand? It's almost like the opal is everything bad in his life, all his greed, his obsession and that he doesn't know when to stop... that's something I thought was really cool.
Pero debo decir que lo que más me voló la cabeza es cómo te mete de una en la mente de un ludópata.. hay una escena, no les voy a spoilear, con un partido de básquet que... ¡amigo! nunca en mi vida me había importado tanto si encestaban o no, estaba ahí, pegado al sillón, sudando frío, ¡rezando para que saliera bien!.. eso es lo que hacen los hermanos Safdie, los capos directores, te hacen sentir cada segundo de estrés, cada cosa estúpida que hace, cada grito y cada mentira como si te pasaran a ti.. y el elenco, ¡ufff! Julia Fox.. es que no puedes quitarle los ojos de encima, su personaje tiene una relación tan tóxica con Howard que te atrapa, si o si. Y Kevin Garnett, interpretándose a él mismo, una sorpresa total.. jamás pensé que un jugador de básquet pudiera actuar bien, en serio, además, un montón de extras son gente que trabaja de verdad en el distrito de los diamantes.. eso le da una onda súper real a todo el ambiente, y la fotografía, ¿qué les digo? ¡Una locura! Los brillos, las luces, los colores... por ejemplo, hay una escena donde Howard está mirando el ópalo a la luz, y la cámara se acerca tanto que casi puedes tocar las texturas y los destellos de la piedra.
Otra toma que me marcó fue cuando enfocan a Howard detrás del vidrio de su tienda, lleno de reflejos que muestran su mundo hecho pedazos, un caos total.. cada plano está pensado para que te hundas más en su rollo, los reflejos, las luces, los colores… todo te hace sentir como si estuvieras dentro de una joya, atrapado en el brillo y la dureza de un ópalo.. es como si la película conectara la ambición de Howard con esa piedra preciosa, ¿me entienden? es casi como si el ópalo fuera todo lo malo de su vida, toda su avaricia, su obsesión y que no sabe cuándo parar.. eso es algo que me pareció muy genial.
But to be honest, I don’t think this movie is for everyone… it’s intense, totally chaotic, and at times it leaves you tired… but if you dare to ride this roller coaster with no brakes, the reward is brutal, it leaves you thinking about how ambition and greed can consume you from the inside. And Adam Sandler… Wow, what a versatile guy! If you ever doubted that he was a good actor, this movie will shut you up, his performance is so real, so raw, that you end up feeling something for Howard, even though you know he’s a mess of a person… in the end, Uncut Gems is a cinematic experience like few others, it reminds you that cinema can be much more than just entertaining; it can be an emotional journey that leaves you thinking a lot afterwards…
If I had to give it a rate, I’d give it a 9/10. It's not perfect, but it's so daring, so different and it catches you so much, that it's impossible not to admire it. I highly recommend it, but prepare yourself for something strong... this is not a comedy to pass the time, nor a story to relax, it's a roller coaster of emotions that will leave you shaken, but in a good way. So, if you're ready for something different, watch it... It's a gem, literally, friends (Sorry for the easy joke, but I had to do it) I hope you liked this review, I'll leave the trailer down here, take care of yourselves, byebye.
Pero siendo sincero, no creo que esta peli sea para cualquiera.. es intensa, un caos total y, a ratos, te deja cansado.. pero si te animas a subirte a esta montaña rusa sin frenos, la recompensa es brutal, te deja pensando en cómo la ambición y la avaricia te pueden consumir por dentro. Y Adam Sandler… ¡Wow, qué tipo tan versatil! si alguna vez dudaste de que fuera buen actor, esta película te va a cerrar la boca, su actuación es tan real, tan cruda, que terminas sintiendo algo por Howard, aunque sepas que es un desastre de persona.. al final, Uncut Gems es una experiencia de cine como pocas, te recuerda que el cine puede ser mucho más que solo entretener; puede ser un viaje emocional que te deja pensando un montón después..
Si tuviera que ponerle una calificación, le daría un 9/10. No es perfecta, pero es tan atrevida, tan diferente y te atrapa tanto, que es imposible no admirarla, la recomiendo bastante, pero prepárense para algo fuerte.. esto no es comedia para pasar el rato, ni una historia para relajarse, es una montaña rusa de emociones que te va a dejar alterado, pero de la buena manera. Así que, si están listos para algo distinto, véanla.. Es una joya, literalmente, amigos (Perdón por el chiste fácil, pero tenía que hacerlo) Espero que les haya gustado esta reseña, les dejaré el tráiler por aquí abajo, cuídense mucho, byebye.

The good guy Adam Sandler that does not convince me with his performances outside the comic haha but what does convince me are his stories like the Astronaut, I liked how he has reinvented himself trying to get out of that comic part that in my case I consider that he has not yet succeeded but I applaud the fact that he tries because I really hope he achieves some film or performance of power and that makes him versatile in any narrative that wants to convey his performance.
Adam Sandler I think he tries to be a good actor but his face seems to me to express the same static expression almost always haha, I notice that in this one he manages to go beyond and that is positive, I hope the future will give him roles that require him much more and he can solidly take the dramatic part.
It is not the kind of movie or story that I would like to see BUT I would like to see it because of Julia Fox, there if I share the “uff” that you write haha because she did call my attention to see and more if she is toxic 😅, I do not know her from any other movie that comes to my mind but I think she is very attractive 😍
