I just saw a movie that made my heart sink, and this is a movie that I recommend you watch, especially for women who are mothers. I am not one, but this movie touches a chord in our hearts.
It is called 'Los dos hemisferios de lucca' or known in English as "Lucca's world" is a Spanish-speaking movie but you can find it on Netflix with subtitles.
Acabo de ver una película que hizo que mi corazón se pusiera chiquito, y esta sí es una película que recomiendo que la vean, especialmente para las mujeres que son madres, yo no lo soy pero esta película toca una fibra en nuestro corazón.
Se trata de 'Los dos hemisferios de lucca' o conocida en inglés como "Lucca's world" es una película de habla hispana pero la encuentran en Netflix con subtitulos.

This film is about a mother who is very determined to help her son who has profound cerebral palsy, and with the scarcity of medical options, this mother decides to take her family to India in search of an experimental treatment that could help improve Lucca's condition.
All of this is told to you in the synopsis of the film and it really is like telling you everything you will see in the film, but reading this little text is not the same as seeing it for yourself. Seeing all the sacrifice and time that this woman has invested in order to see a better future for her son.
Esta película es sobre una madre muy determinada a ayudar a su hijo que tiene parálisis cerebral profunda, y que ante la escasez de opciones médicas, esta madre decide llevar a su familia a la India en busca de tratamiento experimental que podría ayudarlos a mejorar la condición de lucca.
Todo esto te lo dicen en la sinopsis de la película y realmente es como contarte todo lo que verás en la película, pero no es igual leer este pequeño texto que verlo por ti mismo. Ver todo el sacrificio y tiempo que esta mujer a invertido con tal de ver un futuro mejor para su hijo.

The movie is based on a true story, in fact after watching the movie I ran to look for information and ended up on the Instagram account of Lucca's real mother to check her progress and how she is doing. I almost forgot to mention that Lucca's mother, Barbara, wrote a book narrating this whole experience and that is where the movie adaptation comes from, the book has the same name as the movie.
It is a very emotional movie because it shows you a difficult reality of many families, it not only tells the story of Lucca but also of the whole family and also of a mother, mothers would do anything for their children, and here we will see that example, we see Barbara, a mother willing to do the impossible. Really the message that is conveyed not only by the movie but by this great woman is that true love knows no limits, it definitely makes you reflect on many things especially with our mothers who have given everything for us and we have not been able to thank them enough. I want to conclude by saying that it is worth watching.
La película está basada en una historia real, de hecho después de ver la película corrí a buscar información y terminé en la cuenta de Instagram de la verdadera madre de Lucca para chequear su progreso y cómo le está yendo. Casi me olvidó mencionar que la madre de Lucca, Barbara escribió un libro narrando toda esta experiencia y de ahí es la adaptación a la película, el libro tiene el mismo nombre que la película.
Es una película bastante emotiva porque te muestra una realidad difícil de muchas familias, no solo cuenta la historia de Lucca sino también de toda la familia y también de una madre, las madres harían lo que fueran por sus hijos, y aquí veremos ese ejemplo, vemos a Barbara, una madre dispuesta hacer hasta lo imposible. Realmente el mensaje que te transmite no solamente la película sino esta gran mujer es que el amor verdadero no conoce límites, definitivamente te pone a reflexionar muchas cosas en especial con nuestras madres que lo han dado todo por nosotros y no hemos sido capaz de agradecerles lo suficiente. Quiero concluir diciendo que sí vale la pena verla.
