Hello friends of Hive, over the years, I ended up distancing myself from classic films. I don't know if it happens to everyone, but after a while, this theme becomes very predictable. At the moment, i'm on a family outing and they announced the presentation of a classic film. Initially, I didn't show any interest, but the word zombie in the title caught my attention. I don't remember having seen anything similar. Curiosity was the trigger that ensured my presence among the viewers.
MOVIE: PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES (no spoilers for the scenes)
The film is set in England, in the 19th century, being a different classic. Although the plot develops within a romance between characters with antagonistic life contexts, there is an evident chemistry in the scenes, a romance that attracts the audience's attention. Funny scenes were added, relatively heavy humor, trying to get the audience to laugh with disgusting and absurdly crazy scenes associated with zombies. Finally, they added hints of horror and the classic combat where humans fight for their survival. “Watching people around me laughing with joy of the giant phlegm running from the nose of the zombie, mercy, that's horror, in my opinion it's not funny at all, but it's what a lot of people like, democratic culture”.
Something very visible throughout the story is the class struggle and the prejudice of past centuries, there are specific characters that symbolize the oppressive power of the time, influencing people and portraying truths forgotten in history. The classic part related to the romance that everyone knows, the main characters hate each other at the beginning, the constant contact between scenes makes the feelings alternate between liking and hating, something captivating, when you think everything will work out, fate separates them.
Yes, the most important thing is zombies, and they left something to be desired. There is a type of pandemic that transforms post-war England into a zombie-infested environment. I finished the film and was left with an emptiness in my soul, because no scene makes this infestation clear; it is more of an educational context of what is happening. I'm immersed in current films, where zombies are perfect, because I didn't see that in the film. Despite a cool, attractive and interesting story, seeing zombies with CGI characteristics and second-rate makeup ended up discouraging me a little. But let's face it, it is not a current film; we must take into account its time of creation. In this regard, I still mention a positive point for innovation.
To put it simply: The film is a classic comedy, with horror touches that works in a historical context of prejudices present in the story. "Not even with a zombie infestation do humans want to lose their status"

No momento, estou em um passeio em família e anunciaram a apresentação de um filme clássico. Inicialmente, não demonstrei interesse, mas a palavra zumbi no título me chamou a atenção. O filme se passa na Inglaterra, no século XIX, sendo um clássico diferente. Embora a trama se desenvolva dentro de um romance entre personagens com contextos de vida antagônicos, há uma química evidente nas cenas, um romance que prende a atenção do público. Foram adicionadas cenas engraçadas, um humor relativamente pesado, tentando fazer o público rir com cenas repugnantes e absurdamente malucas associadas a zumbis. Por fim, adicionaram toques de terror e o clássico combate onde humanos lutam pela sobrevivência. "Observar as pessoas ao meu redor rindo de alegria com o catarro gigante escorrendo do nariz do zumbi, misericórdia, isso é horror, na minha opinião não tem graça nenhuma, mas é o que muita gente gosta, a cultura democrática".
Algo muito visível ao longo da história é a luta de classes e o preconceito dos séculos passados; há personagens específicos que simbolizam o poder opressor da época, influenciando pessoas e retratando verdades esquecidas na história. A parte clássica está relacionada ao romance que todos conhecem, os personagens principais se odeiam no início, o contato constante entre as cenas faz com que os sentimentos se alternem entre gostar e odiar, algo cativante; quando você acha que tudo vai dar certo, o destino os separa.
Sim, o mais importante são os zumbis, e eles deixaram a desejar. Existe um tipo de pandemia que transforma a Inglaterra do pós-guerra em um ambiente infestado de zumbis. Terminei o filme e fiquei com um vazio na alma, pois nenhuma cena deixa clara essa infestação; é mais um contexto educativo do que está acontecendo. Estou imerso em filmes atuais, onde zumbis são perfeitos, porque não vi isso no filme. Apesar de uma história bacana, atraente e interessante, ver zumbis com características de CGI e maquiagem de segunda acabou me desanimando um pouco. Mas, convenhamos, não é um filme atual; devemos levar em conta sua época de criação. Nesse sentido, ainda menciono um ponto positivo para a inovação.
Simplificando: o filme é uma comédia clássica, com toques de terror, que funciona em um contexto histórico de preconceitos presentes na história. "Nem com uma infestação zumbi os humanos querem perder seu status."

The first time I heard about it I said What the fuck! but I must confess that I am very curious to see it, it should be interesting to see Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy trying to survive in a zombie apocalypse.
The film is cool, they tried a different approach to get people's attention.
