En este caso, voy a hablarles de Merlí. Cuando escuchamos la palabra Merlí podemos asociarla con otras ideas. Merlí es una serie española, que no fue grabada en castellano sino en catalán, fue traducida y emitida en 2015. Tuvieron que pasar 10 años para que yo descubriera a Merlí, y me alegra mucho que así haya sido, porque a esta edad y etapa de mi vida, tengo una comprensión más amplia sobre las cosas, y entonces puedo tener una mejor percepción de ella. La serie trata sobre un grupo de estudiantes adolescentes y un profesor de la materia de filosofía, que llega a su vida no sólo para impartir la asignatura sino también para mostrarles que todos tienen la capacidad de pensar libremente y de ese modo motivarlos a hacerlo.
Merlí Bergeron Calduch no es simplemente un profesor de filosofía, es un hombre intrépido y osado que se expresa con mucha seguridad en la unión de sus palabras, cada clase de Merlí te hace pensar, comprender o cuestionar el tema del que se habla. En vez de ser las típicas clases que tienden a ser aburridas, Merlí implementa charlas interactivas muy interesantes sobre los temas con quienes él llamó los Peripatéticos (sus alumnos, referencia a la filosofía de Aristóteles), citando así en sus clases a Schopenhauer, Heidegger, Nietzsche, Hannah Arendt, Albert Camus, entre otros.
¿Qué aprendí de Merlí?
- Que se puede ser un profesor de calidad, con actitudes influyentes en la vida de sus estudiantes para ayudarlos a ser mejores personas.
- Que la filosofía es algo más que una simple carrera, es una estrategia para saber llevar el rumbo de tu vida.
- Que es necesario saber catalán (es necesario enriquecernos de otros idiomas, en Merlí muchas partes que se muestran como chats entre los personajes, cartas o cualquier escrito, claramente es en idioma catalán y se hace algo difícil comprenderlo).
- Que quiénes mostramos ser en la adolescencia repercute en la adultez emergente y la siguiente etapa.
- Que la homosexualidad no define tus valores.
- Que la vida se detiene sin que haya previo aviso.
- Que nada se sabe a plenitud, y que todos sabemos algo siempre.
- Que es la mejor serie que he visto hasta ahora y que añoro el personaje de Merlí en la realidad, tenerlo cerca, es decir, a alguien que se le parezca.

¿A qué otro personaje voy a recordar además de Merlí?
Iván Blasco, quizás porque es uno de los personajes más influenciados por Merlí; se generó en ellos un vínculo muy importante tras todo lo que Merlí pudo aportar en la vida de Iván, y cómo a través de la filosofía Merlí lo ayuda a superar la agorafobia. Iván quiso a Merlí como se quiere a un amigo de verdad y Merlí le dió el valor que él necesitaba.
