Today I'll talk about one of my favourite anime Haikyuu. In my previous post, I haven't mentioned it but I'm a huge anime lover. I am an anime lover for a long time. Now let's talk about Haikyuu. Recently I watched Haikyuu and I found countless reasons to love this anime so much!! First of all these anime taught me no matter how bad the situation is I should not give up until I am giving 100% effort.
The story starts with a high school student named Shoyo Hinata. He becomes obsessed with volleyball after noticing a glimpse of "Karasuno High School" playing in Nationals on TV. Hinata was inspired by a player nicknamed 'The Little Giant' of the Karasuno Highschool volleyball team. As Hinata was also short and he could see himself in little giant. 'The Little Giant' was Karasuno's short but talented wing spiker.
Look how shocked Hinata was when he first time saw the little giant. He felt like a new door has opened for him!!!
After going through some hardships in middle school he joined "Karasuno High School" to follow in his role model's (The Little Gaint) footsteps.
This is the first time when he entered the Volleyball practice room of Karasuno Highschool. AWW!! Just look at him how cute and proud he's looking!!
Also, there he found a rival (also a first-year student like Hinata, Tobio Kageyama) and some super supportive seniors.
In volleyball, height plays a very important role. As Hinata's height was short he struggled so much but he never gave up on his dream. Not to mention his coach and his seniors and also his rival and friend Tobio Kageyama supported him.
Seeing him left alone just broke my heart!
But when he became a part of Karasuno Highschool each and everyone from the volleyball club accepted him the way he is and supported him. Kageyama got his faith back in teamwork little by little.
Just look at Hinata and Kageyama now!! How finely they are doing their job!!
Now let's talk about the volleyball team of Karasuno Highschool. From the third year, there were Daichi (captain), Sugawara (vice-captain), Asaahi and from the second year, there were Nishinomiya, Tanaka, Ennoshita and Chikara. They were the seniors a high school student can dream of. They were so supportive towards the first years. And from the first year, there were Kageyama, Hinata, Tsukishima and Yamaguchi. They also had 2 beautiful managers Kyoko and Yachi.
When Hinata joined Karasuno. they already lost their popularity as a strong volleyball team. So, in every official and unofficial or practice match they had to prove that the new Karasuno Volleyball team with the iconic first years, they were a worthy opponent. Those who played official and unofficial matches with Karasuno admitted after seeing their amazing teamwork and determination that Krasuno was indeed a worthy opponent right now. Not to mention they were shocked seeing Hinata's performance as he was the shortest and could jump higher than anyone else in court.
Looking Hinata and Kageyama like this just broke my heart...
But then again fortune doesn't smile always. Karasuno had to prove their talent in stape. They worked as hard as they can still there were lacings and they lost some important matches. That was the time my heart broke for them when I saw them losing that important match. Yes, they were heartbroken still they didn't give up. They tried again and again during the journey they got hurt but they didn't lose hope.
As for Hinata, in every match, he had to prove himself to his opponents that being short is not a major problem on the volleyball court. And this bought some good friends in his life from other high schools. They admired Hinata and took him as a worthy rival. Still, life wasn't easy for him. He had to face many challenges. If he didn't get any opportunity to make himself a better volleyball play then he created his own way to be a better volleyball player. And he got better without any doubt. In last season (season 4 second part) he proved that his hard work really paid off. I remember I cried so hard for Hinata when I was seeing him going through all those hardships. My heart just broke for him. But then when all his hard work paid off I was so happy for him. It was such a relief seeing him so confident. As for the Krasuno team they were also so proud of Hinata, as they saw how hard he tried.
When their hard work finally paid off!! OMG, I was also crying here!
I personally love Haikyuu so much. Whenever I feel down or don't feel that much of confident about myself I rewatch some iconic scenes of Haikyuu. If you are having a bad day then I'll highly suggest this amazing sports anime. The anime has a great plot, it is funny and heartwarming. Not to mention the twists are really amazing. You won't be disappointed after watching this amazing anime.
Haikyuu has 4 seasons. Season 1 aired in 2014, season 2 aired in 2014, season 3 part 1 aired in 2016, season 4 part one aired in 2019 and part 2 aird=ed in 2020. They are saying most probably season 5 will be premiere at the end of 2021 (I'm not sure though).
