Today I want to talk to you about Richie Rich, a movie that I used to watch a lot on TV during my childhood and adolescence, since it was rebroadcast a lot and I loved it because Macaulay Culkin was my crush and all the girls in the 90s and early 2000s 😍 I really liked this movie at the time and now that I saw it again on Netflix I didn't want to miss the opportunity to review it.
Hoy quiero hablarles de Ricky Ricón, una película que yo solía ver muchísimo en la televisión durante mi infancia y mi adolescencia, ya que la retransmitían mucho y a mi me encantaba pues Macaulay Culkin era mi crush y el de todas las niñas en los años 90 e inicios del 2000 😍 Esta película me gustó mucho en su momento y ahora que volví a verla en Netflix no quise perder la oportunidad de reseñarla.
Overview/Resumen
Ricky is an extremely rich kid and as such he has everything a kid could wish for, a big house, a privileged education, enough space to play, servants at his disposal, even a McDonalds and an amusement park for his exclusive use, but he lacks something very important, sincere friends and more attention from his parents, so on one occasion when he found some boys playing baseball he invited them to his mansion to hang out and try to make friends, what he never imagined is that they along with Cadbury (his loyal butler) would rescue him from potential danger./p>
Ricky es un niño extremadamente rico y como tal tiene todo lo que un chico podría desear, una gran casa, una educación privilegiada, espacio suficiente para jugar, sirvientes a su disposición, incluso un McDonals y un parque de diversiones para su uso exclusivo, pero le falta algo muy importante, amigos sinceros y más atención por parte de sus padres, así que en una ocasión en que encontró a unos chicos jugando baseball los invitó a su mansión para pasar el rato y tratar de hacer amigos, lo que él nunca imaginó es que ellos junto con Cadbury (su leal mayordomo) lo rescatarían de un potencial peligro.

My Opinion/Mi Opinión
It is the typical movie of the 90's, it does not have a deep plot but it is very entertaining, full of action, it is a perfect movie for children because it is not only dynamic but it shows them in an explicit way what is the true value of friendship and teamwork, on the other hand Ricky's friends learn that money is not everything in life, that someone can have it and at the same time feel miserable for not having good company, sincere friendships or genuine affection.
Es la típica película de los años 90, no tiene una trama demasiado profunda pero sí es muy entretenida, llena de mucha acción, es una película perfecta para niños pues no solo es dinámica sino que les muestra de una forma explícita lo que es el verdadero valor de la amistad y el trabajo en equipo, por otra parte los amigos de Ricky aprenden que el dinero no lo es todo en la vida, que alguien puede tenerlo y al mismo tiempo sentirse miserable por no tener buena compañía, amistades sinceras o cariño autentico.
It is evident that Ricky's parents loved him, but most of the time they were traveling, they left everything in charge of other people and therefore they did not detect the danger that was so close to them. On the other hand, the scene where both are stranded in the middle of the sea is very significant because being there the money was useless, only ingenuity and perseverance could get them out of the problem.
Es evidente que los padres de Ricky lo amaban, pero la mayor parte del tiempo estaban viajando, dejaban todo a cargo de otras personas y por lo tanto no detectaron el peligro que tenían tan cerca. Por otra parte la escena donde ambos quedan varados en medio del mar es muy significativa porque estando allí ele dinero no sirvió de nada, solo el ingenio y la constancia pudieron sacarlos del problema.
Even Lawrence Van Dough had a great lesson when he opened the long-awaited Rich vault because treasures are not always gold, bills and diamonds, but things that are valuable to you and your family, things whose value is symbolic or sentimental, but someone like him who had no emotional ties with anyone could not understand that, he looked at life from greed and envy.
Incluso Lawrence Van Dough tuvo una gran lección al abrir la ansiada bóveda de los Ricón ya que los tesoros no siempre son oro, billetes y diamantes, sino cosas que son valiosas para ti y tu familia, cosas cuyo valor es simbólico o sentimental, pero alguien como él que no tenía lazos afectivos con nadie no podía entender eso, él miraba la vida desde la codicia y la envida.
The film is full of absurd situations and a lot of humor but it's precisely not to be taken seriously, it's a movie for kids and as such you have to watch it, it's perfect to hang out and have fun. Thank you very much for reading, I hope you enjoyed my review and liked it 😃.

This is really one of those movies when you saw it as a kid, it sticks with you forver. Having a mcdonalds in your house and a roller coaster in your yard. Those are really things I remember.
