My dear cinephile friends, as you know I love old movies, I'm always watching some of them, and recently I saw this gem from 2004 that I could not overlook, "White Chicks " a movie that although it was not at all accepted by the critics at the time of its release, over the years it became a true classic.
Mis queridos amigos cinéfilos, como ya saben que amo las películas viejas, constantemente siempre estoy viendo alguna, y pues recientemente vi esta joya del 2004 a la que no podía pasar por alto, se trata de ¿Y Dónde están las Rubias? una película que si bien no fue para nada aceptada por la crítica en el momento de su estreno, con los años se volvió un verdadero clásico.

Let's be honest, certainly the movie doesn't have the best script, the story is quite simple, it's full of clichés and sex jokes (some were left between deleted scenes and others were included but not broadcasted worldwide), in the best Scary Movie style, since this movie is from the same creators, but we can't deny one thing, and that is that the performances of Shawn and Marlon Wayans were great as far as comedy is concerned, they did their job very well, which was to play a couple of rich, vain and empty minded women, in my personal opinion I think what makes this movie so funny is the reaction of everyone to the absurd situations that arise, for example how can we forget the scene where Kevin pretends to be a millionaire to impress a beautiful journalist (Denisse) and suddenly he is attacked by a guard dog?
A ver, seamos honestos, ciertamente la película no tiene el mejor guión, la historia es bastante simple, está llena de clichés y chistes sexuales (algunos quedaron entre escenas eliminadas y otros fueron incluidos pero no transmitidos en todo el mundo), al mejor estilo de Scary Movie, ya que esta película es de los mismos creadores, pero no podemos negar una cosa, y es que las actuaciones de Shawn and Marlon Wayans estuvieron geniales en cuanto a comedia se refiere, hicieron muy bien su trabajo, que era interpretar a un par de mujeres ricas, vanidosas y de mente vacía, en mi opinión personal creo que lo que hace a esta película tan graciosa es la reacción de todos ante las situaciones absurdas que van surgiendo, por ejemplo ¿cómo olvidar la escena donde Kevin se hace pasar por millonario para impresionar a una hermosa periodista (Denisse) y de pronto es atacado por un perro guardián?

Another element I LOVE about this movie is the soundtrack, full of hits of the moment like "Crazy in love" by Beyoncé or "A Thousand Miles" by Vanessa Carlton, these hits became a classic like the movie and marked memorable scenes like this one, haha seriously, I can't stop laughing with it.

Lo mejor de la película es que hubo un aprendizaje, por ejemplo, los hermanos Copeland aprendieron lo que es ser una chica, las difíciles situaciones por las que a veces tienen que pasar, aunque algunas de ellas surgieron debido a la vanidad como usar ropa "adecuada" y todo eso, pero sí tuvieron la oportunidad de conocer los sentimientos de las chicas, y a su vez las amigas de las hermanas Wilson tuvieron la oportunidad de ver una mejor versión de ellas, aceptando luego que les gustaban más los agentes disfrazados, ya que siempre estuvieron dispuestos a escucharlas y ayudarlas muy al contrario de sus alter egos.

Al ser tan carísmáticos, los agentes Copeland pudieron salvar de muchas situaciones a "sus amigas" como por ejemplo la escena donde bailan en la discoteca, ambos demostraron sus grandes dotes para el break dance, lo sé, es muy absurdo pensar que de pronto las hermanas Wilson adquirieron esas habilidades, pero de eso se trata esta película, no puedes tomarla demasiado enserio, solo disfrutarla.
