The Details

Each week, our Moderators will monitor the posts within the Movies and TV Shows Community and handpick the ones that are believed to stand out under numerous factors: post quality, length, and subject.

There are no entry requirements, and this is not a contest, but simply a roundup intended to provide additional exposure to all of you for your efforts. Just have fun posting in the Movies & TV Shows Community and five or more posts will be chosen frequently.

(ENG-ESP) 3 Netflix K-Dramas I recommend you watch!

This is the perfect series for suspense and mystery lovers, where the main characters are Baek Sa Eon and Hong Hee Joo are a married couple where they are total strangers until a phone call changes the whole picture of their story, triggering a series of events that push the characters to the limit. The plot is full of unexpected twists that keep you on edge, where it makes us question how far people will go to protect their darkest secrets. I was delighted with the performance of both, the silent and deep love they transmit, however, there were things in the last chapter that left me disjointed hahaha but it is still a must-watch series for fans of this genre.

NOOB FILM REVIEW - TAMIL SCHOOL PASANGA directed by SHAN

Yasmin Ahmad too, did the same thing in Talentime with NegaraKu (and rain in Mukhsin). In the scene where the school orchestra plays the national anthem, and the rest of the students stop and stand still, the main Indian protagonist, Mahesh walks and rides the motorbike through them. It is a bold and loud rebellion, again, without uttering a single word. Also shown on the intro of Talentime are shots of the dilapidated state of the school building which is an allegory to the state of the education system. The same thing is shown in Tiger Stripes. Ah. The dying art of cinematic poetry.

[ESP-ENG] Film Review: Silenced | A true story of heartbreaking child abuse.

This school is not only for deaf-mute children, but it also serves as a home because most of the children who are in this school are orphans or come from parents who also have a disability and could not take care of them so they ended up in that school. Everything seems to be going well until a certain point where an altercation occurs between a student and a teacher of the school, the teacher is reprimanding him for misbehaving but not only offends him with words but also beats him savagely in front of the others and this does not seem to alarm anyone but Kang In-ho who sees this and feels a deep pain especially because this is not the way to treat a person and much less someone with a disability.

Smile 2 - Movie Review

The first film of this franchise made me think that Parker Finn had the potential to be one of the new generation of directors to take into account; in this new film, his second feature film in his very short career, he continues to demonstrate that he has the potential to make shocking and funny scenes, to change the style depending on the scene to develop as well as the character who must lead such scenes; I say this because of the thrilling beginning of this film which is impressive, a whole chaotic sequence and continues to offer us a different point of view that we will experience with the protagonist of this story, I think that's an important reference because depending on who is that character is how it will develop this transition to the extreme and crazy end; I think this is an excellent addition to this film where Finn as director and screenwriter gives it a disturbing rhythm, a creepy follow up of a character who has no time to deal with all the strange things that are happening to her; this may be the big difference between both films.

Interstellar (2014): already a classic | ya es un clásico

We all understand the weight of the dilemma Cooper faces at the beginning of the film; We all want her to stay, to not let go of Murphy, to hug her and wait by her side for the end of humanity, but we also know that he won't, that despite that "Stay!" that tears us inside, he must abandon the one he loves most precisely because of that love. Everything else, the environmental drama, the apocalyptic setting, the space adventure, revolves around these emotions as Endurance revolves in one of the most incredible sequences in Christopher Nolan's entire filmography.

🎬 Movie Review: The Room Next Door

A movie that sounds pretty harsh and I thought it was going to be super sad, but it was very well paced and everything that was going on made it not feel that way. I'm always hesitant to watch movies that deal with this disease because it makes me sensitive and I'm a little tired of the subject. But I decided to give it a chance because it caught my attention.

Cellar Door | Everyone has secrets - Movie Review!

But when I talk about secrets it is a reminder of what I said earlier: you never get to know people. It's very strong how people can act with the intention of hiding or protecting some interest, taste or idea regardless of what the other party might think or say. This is the real heart of the film. Hence, this is far from horror and becomes a thriller full of suspicion. The characters are very average, too much I would say. Both Jordana and Scott don't stand out, maybe she slightly more than him but nothing important. The real weight is not them but what the blessed door represents and all that it generates.
