From this point the author shows us more of the character's determined character to achieve things, the first defeat is something very difficult to overcome for any boxer and in the case of Ippo is no exception, in this part of the plot several things happen but in the end they make him understand that he still does not know the answer of what it means to be strong and because of that he continues his career in the ring until after an intense battle against Takeshi Sendo he manages to become champion of Japan for the first time. After this comes a long career of title defenses until he decides to go for the world title, something we may see another time. To conclude, George Morikawa's story is still valid today, there are many things that have happened, but the scenario of overcoming has not been left aside, that teaches us that with determination and hard work you can achieve great things.

In real life we can't always make peace with our parents, our siblings don't stop bothering us and we don't always have a mansion when we finish our studies, there is no magic charge with a check that fixes our financial situation and we will continue to get old and sick , the point is that beyond the tragedies, the love of our loved ones is still there, and many times, although their excessive ambitions for our own progress can frustrate us, we will eventually find calm in the midst of chaos, even temporarily.

The stories of witches, everything related to New Orleans, Salem and obviously all the background that goes back to past centuries in Europe is super interesting, it's not my thing but it is something that I understand can attract the attention of many. The thing is that I feel that this series touches all this well but it's the approach that I didn't really like, I saw it as a love story? where beyond being tied to Lasher (Jack Huston), the entity I told you about, you can see that there is a connection that goes beyond, that transcends and that can derive in something sentimental although it is known that it is not like that. It wants to be something dark and sinister but this detail makes me not end up landing in that area, it softens everything and that's where it lost me. Maybe that's how Rice's books are, I don't know, but that hesitation turned me off.

Honestly the film did not receive very good reviews, but in spite of all that I liked it, I thought the photography was excellent, in sync with all the scenes, the performances were quite credible, the effects were very well used, but in my opinion, the story was the best of all, not only because it shows us that evil exists and we must fight it (main message of all exorcism films) but because it shows us that a woman can also be a chosen one of God to save souls, We know that in our current society, in general terms women have gained a lot of ground, there are policewomen, pilots, in high positions in the army, businesswomen, scientists, in short, but when we talk about religion everything changes, the role of women has been limited to nurses or hospice rectors (and of course I don't want to undermine the importance of this work) but what about those who want to go further? And this happens in almost all the religions of the world, let's remember that regardless of whatever deity we believe in, religions are governed on earth by human beings with their own interests.

Once again, MUBI has come to my rescue. When I feel like watching a movie and I don't know exactly what kind of movie I wanna see I do what everyone else does: scroll on a streaming platform for a long time. Many times, as you move through the screen, indecision increases because nothing convinces us and even though we have a list of the films we want to see, sometimes that list is also reviewed without success. However, I've found that unlike Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, when I check the MUBI listings it's easier for me to find something that catches my eye in the moment.

When the news spread about the HBO adaptation of the series, I was of course afraid for the story, I didn't want it to be spoiled. That's why when it came out I refused to watch the first chapters, it wasn't in my plans to do so, I was already tired of bad videogame adaptations. However, after reading such positive reviews and receiving many recommendations from friends, I decided to give it a chance. I was so taken with it that in one day I caught up with the five chapters that had been released up to that point.

This movie touched me deeply and if something bad hasn't happened to you before you will definitely think you are living in a world designed with roses and pleasure. Outside in the real world, a lot of bad things happen to people and with every day passing by someone becomes a victim one way or the other. It's sad how humanity continues to go darker every day and just makes me think, is it worth it to bring more children into this world?

"The Thirteenth Floor" combines this deconstruction of reality with elements from The Matrix to portray a world—or rather, a series of worlds—that are observed and controlled by others and are solely used for entertainment and leisure (like in The Truman Show). By repeatedly fusing the created and the creator, as if emotions are something that transcends their own birth and serves as the link between imagined and experienced, the film's accumulation of events has the effect of flattening time and space. Points a and b become two equal and distinct spots where life flows continuously and with the same intensity both horizontally and vertically, losing their identity at one point after another. Man's intellect clashes with his violence and his arrogance toward others and neglects the power and purity of feelings. In this particular instance, the improbable love between Douglas and Jane (Gretchen Mol) becomes a symbol of optimism, demonstrating how nothing is impossible and that, despite all of the technology in the world, there will always be the magic of feelings and the undeniable purity of the "real" physical contact.

The concept or the idea itself of creating a completely veiled, malicious, cruel and negative environment, among other points, fused with tender creatures of which at first glance, the first or last thing that would cross our minds is that they develop or act like that, both on the part of the bears and unicorns is a concept that I liked quite a lot. I can see reflected before the direction of this feature film, several inspirations set to war movies mainly or those focused with a strong and extremist indoctrination, movies like Full metal jacket, rescuing Private Ryan, etc, are a good reference and inspiration at this point, well for me it was certainly so, and we can notice this gradually as the plot unfolds, the idea of fighting and exterminating the unicorns by the group of bears and their behaviors and indoctrination, are points that caught my attention as a viewer because all this is curiously also influenced by a religious aspect and a fanaticism that moves such actions driven in turn by hatred, but besides this there are other issues that are worth noting.

Giving an honest opinion, I do not think this is a film for everyone to enjoy, because it does not have the same pace of action that one might expect, but if you omit that and go with low expectations, you will find a film with a powerful and bitter message, which practically boils down to the fact that while some criticize and accuse the killings that occur for selling weapons, these same people are the ones who sell them to you at any cost, these same people are the ones who sell them to you at any cost, they even hire particular people like Yuri Orlov in order to carry out their business, and have someone to blame later if things go wrong, this being a message towards the hypocrisy of the countries and the united nations.

The truth is that I first saw the second movie, since it is the one that is available on Netflix and I liked it, it is one of those movies that are so inky and meaningless that they seem good from bad to you, it reminded me a lot of Venezuelan movies "Papita, Mani y Tostón" but I didn't like the first one so much, if I had seen that first I wouldn't see the next one, because it feels even more generic and meaningless.

Usually this story is repeated in their movies and that makes them not capture everyone's attention for being too predictable, however I think I've seen most of them, it's like one of those movies that are safe and you can watch calmly because it won't increase your anxiety, because you know it's going to happen. These days my anxiety levels had been really high, I was feeling a bit bad and I really needed to distract myself, so I watched one of these movies while I was doing some stuff, it's about explosive wedding, starring Jennifer Lopez and Josh duhamel, a movie that was released last year and I didn't hear anything about it at the time, maybe because I wasn't paying enough attention.
Congratulations to everyone that was chosen, and thank you to everyone posting in Movies and TV Shows! We look forward to the next report and highlighting even more of you.
