This film stands out for several aspects, one of the ones that pleased me the most was the makeup used, that is, they took great care in many details and I give credit to the director for that, he did an excellent job and showed that without using exuberant special effects, you can sow terror in the viewer.

This is not a movie for everyone, because it is slow, almost nothing happens, and what happens may leave you wondering if it is something important or not, so if you do not like this kind of movie, it is better not to watch it, because all the time we will be watching the screen calmly and slowly. It is a completely sad movie and it will reach moments where it will be unbearable how intense and depressive it is. Which made me love it more.

Being honest and for having liked the first part, this second one surprised me in several ways, one of them was the reunion years later of some of the original actors, for me that in addition to preserving the dubbing voice, are details that make special and give more value to the film for us viewers and before the cinema. Another point, and I think this applies to some sequels, is precisely that, the unnecessary second parts that only add filler and little interest in the development of the first story. Perhaps for some, the musical segments are showy but there comes a point where they become boring because it gives the impression that they add it and it must be there just because, not all songs fall into this category but there were some in particular that I did not like, but as I like to say, this is up to each person's preference 😊, for my part I can say that it was entertaining and interesting the script, the performances and the locations that give it that magical and fantasy air between both worlds.

When the script tries to throw everything into a slightly more “modern” time, an extremely inexpressive cast enters the scene with notable characterization problems. In particular, the protagonist himself, who comes to life through Aidan McArdle and a precarious (and limited) makeup job. No one can deliver a performance worthy of what is being told. Furthermore, the scenes are played on the screen without any greater purpose and only create a “temporal distortion”, as if there were actually two stories in parallel that were being interconnected.

The character starts off with incredible strength, wanting nothing to do with Claudio, completely focused on herself, on her goals. But when this despicable person appears, he plays with her mind and molds her to his liking, completely driving her crazy. Obviously, Lisa's attitude is not normal, there is an underlying disorder and Claudio triggered it. He took her out of her peaceful zone and plunged her into the worst psychological misery. This transformation from being a strong woman to a vulnerable one was insane. What power does someone have over us to unbalance us like that? This aspect of psychology I really liked.

As the plot progresses, little by little they realize that certain feelings begin to surface even though they are against it, they begin to argue over little things, to love each other more than they should, and this can only lead to problems in the end. So what we will see throughout the 8 chapters is how two spies try not to "kill" each other while they are in the middle of a mission. The reality is that this series can be categorized as action and yes, it has it, but there is also a black and very acid comedy which is very cool, as long as you like that kind of genre.

On the other hand, to continue with the psychological aspects included in the plot, Leonard seems to function after the trauma under the bases of conditioning, that is, he learns and associates through repetition of stimuli. When he tries to solve the mystery it is not that he magically manages to store memories again, but that he uses techniques to be able to remember things that he somehow already knew before. Polaroids and tattoos in this case are what in psychology are called stimuli that have a certain meaning. When Leonard sees the stimuli is when he manages to associate their meaning with what he is looking for, and this is how little by little he manages to solve the enigma.

Let's talk a little about what happens in the movie. The film begins many years ago in the childhood of our protagonist Carl, here he was a little boy who enjoyed the adventures of a famous explorer, but he was accused of having made a skeleton of a strange animal, so the famous explorer decided to go back to this fantastic place to find a living species, swearing not to return until he achieved it. Thanks to the adventures of this explorer, Carl was also a fan of adventures and this love led him to meet a little girl named Ellie, who was also a fan of the famous explorer, which made them have an immediate connection, in addition, Ellie made Carl promise her to help him fulfill his plan to take his club to a cliff very close to Paradise Falls.

The script of Griselda is based on real events here we see how Griselda had to make herself felt in that world managed by men, it was not easy for her to position herself in the drug trafficking had to make bad and good decisions; many of the bad decisions led to the fall of her own empire after being at the peak of her success leading her to jail and the loss of her older children I presume by her narco enemies I did not expect this in her story.

And is that, with such a complex story and such a rich universe, it is quite difficult to remain faithful to an animated work that kept the excitement in its time. Above all, it takes quite a bit of ingenuity not to alter the trajectory of a work that captivated in its original version. Netflix's adaptation lacked more charisma, more logic of fidelity. The winks were not enough, neither were the special effects. In the end, I only found another disappointment that ended up helping me decide not to watch the series again, unless (and I doubt it) it resumes a more ingenious path in its second season.

This is also a film that is designed to keep the audience's emotions going hard, because throughout the film we will be shown a story about the sincere love of a couple and the various sacrifices they are willing to make to save the people they love. Likewise, the film scene shows a grandmother who is forced to be willing to die in the deep sea with a plane wreck so that she doesn't burden her grandson to swim to land with Ava, starring Sophie Mclntosh.

Hello everyone! Since you touched on the topic about "AVATAR The Last Airbender" (2024), I differ from your perspective. Honestly, I liked it a lot because I came from reading his comics, seeing his feature film and his animated version, which I liked a lot. I rate this version 9/10
Thanks for throwing in your thoughts!
