Hello! As part of our ongoing efforts to improve both interaction and curation in the Movies and TV Shows Community, this post is one of many to highlight and boost members of the past week that have posted what we believe is exceptional content.

The Details

Each week, our Moderators will monitor the posts within the Movies and TV Shows Community and handpick the ones that are believed to stand out under numerous factors: post quality, length, and subject.

There are no entry requirements, and this is not a contest, but simply a roundup intended to provide additional exposure to all of you for your efforts. Just have fun posting in the Movies & TV Shows Community and five or more posts will be chosen frequently.

Assassin 33 A.D. (film): This movie is hilariously bad

I went to church a bit when I was growing up but I dont' remember the name of the person that had to carry the cross for Jesus when he kept stumbling. I do know that it wasn't a black guy wearing modern day clothing and speaking English. This part of the film is never addressed about how nobody including the Roman guards seem at all fussed that a few of the people are wearing very different clothes and have things like wrist-watches and also at one point someone has a gun and uses it too.

MOVIE REVIEW: “The Union” (2024)

Particularly speaking, none of the supposed “big revelations” in the script surprised me. In fact, I found it all quite predictable (and if you've also watched many other similar action movies, you'll agree with me), and all the efforts ended up becoming null and void within the narrative (which, by the way, has terrible direction from start to finish). I still can't understand how a script with “marked cards” managed to be so boring and unpretentious. All the good options were there, it was just a matter of choosing the arguments and working within the themes initially proposed.

Road House 2024 Movie Recomendation

On the romantic side of this movie I didn't like the partner they put the main character as I feel they could have gotten him something more his age, I don't know, I feel he was too young for him, but maybe that's part of what they wanted to achieve, that the tough guy stays with the younger and more beautiful ones.

Funny Games (2007) || A Cinematic Disappointment

I didn’t find the action intriguing. It sucked that as big as George was, he couldn’t throw a good punch. The slap he gave Peter in the face was more like “gentle parenting.” When the boys started torturing them, I expected George or Anna to get an adrenaline rush, grab the golf clubs in the living room, and use them on the young men who were, of course, unarmed. But nope, it didn’t cross their minds for a second. They just went wobbly, succumbing to the threats of the psychopaths.

Jurassic World! (Spoiler alert)

When talking about Jurassic World it's impossible not to think about the genetically modified hybrids that were the innovation of the new Jurassic Park trilogy and that's precisely what this video is about, Buhito analyses and comes to a conclusion about what both Indominus Rex and Indoraptor are:

Master of the house | Netflix Series

After that first chapter we explore the life of the family and how everything seems to get out of control very quickly, and as we watch the series we begin to have suspicions and they become true if we are intelligent but then they show us that we are wrong and then right. It is true that it falls into the cliché at a certain point but it also shows that part of eccentricity, horrors and abuses that are mostly evident within the mansion by the family. The end is not really as I expected, everything is really a bit murky, everything is very morally incorrect.

LONGLEGS: The problem with expectations.

There are good things and bad things, on the one hand we are faced with a solid thriller that mixes the typical serial killer formula (Silence of the Lambs, Zodiac and Seven), with paranormal elements worthy of films like Hereditary. But we must also take into account that this mixture is not as organic as we would like, and to a certain extent, it seems to deprive us of a more serious and mature story (with much more narrative potential).
