My Favorite TV Shows

in Movies & TV Shows3 years ago (edited)

If you're looking for a show that's funny and fun to watch, my favorites may be just the ticket. Gilmore Girls, Ginny & Georgia, Once Upon a Time, The Simpsons, and much more are a few shows that are sure to get your heart pumping!

Gilmore Girls

source

I love Gilmore Girls. This series is about a mother who gave birth to her daughter when she was only sixteen years old. The girls live like sisters and share everything. They're also incredibly trusting of each other. I love Gilmore Girls for three main reasons. First, it's smart and clever, and second, it's funny. I also love the cast. I love Melissa McCarthy, and so many other actors got their start on Gilmore Girls.

Ginny & Georgia

source

Ginny and her family yearn to settle down in a beautiful New England town. For years, they've been running from the authorities, so this new place seems like the perfect place to start anew. But things soon turn sour and the family is forced to flee again. Will they be able to make a fresh start in this new town? And who will protect them? The answer to these questions depends on whether the reader can relate to the main characters or not.

Once Upon a Time

source

This fantasy show isn't your typical kids' fairy tale. It's a bit violent for younger viewers, but its twists and turns will keep them interested. Even older viewers may enjoy the show's clever world and the lessons it teaches. Here are the reasons it's one of my favorite TV shows. Here's a list of its many positives. It's a fun journey with many twists and turns, and it's a good choice for the entire family.

The Simpsons

source

The Simpsons is a great family-friendly comedy, and many of its episodes feature celebrities who are just as hilarious as the characters. The show is created by Matt Groening and James L. Brooks, and continued by an ever-revolving writers' room. It is known for its brilliant voice cast, including Dan Castellaneta as Homer, Julie Kavner as Marge, Nancy Cartwright as Bart, Harry Shearer as Mr. Burns, and Yeardley Smith as Lisa.

The Wire

source

One of the most intriguing things about The Wire is the level of empathy it creates for its characters. As a series about the drug trade in Baltimore, it demonstrates the failure of punitive policing as the means to end illegal activity. In this show, crime and drug dealing are treated as normal activities that everyone has to deal with if they want to live a decent life. Its unique and realistic storytelling style made it one of my favorite TV shows of all time.

Stranger Things

source

Stranger Things is a Netflix original series that pays tribute to the 80s. Based on the books by Stephen King and Steven Spielberg, the series is a twisted homage to horror movies of that decade. It revolves around a small town, a missing person, and a dodgy science lab. There are several twists and turns in this series. I love the third season, and I am excited for season four, which will premiere this year!

House

source

I'm going to be blunt and admit that House is not a favorite of mine. I do like the show's premise, which is about a homicidal physician, but I'm not so sure that I can get past the wacky characters. While I like Stephen Fry, I also appreciate the witty quips of Hugh Laurie. The character of House is a difficult one to play in the Sherlock mould, but Laurie made it work. The show is full of demons that House battles while battling the worst of his patients. House also believes that "everybody lies" and is driven to be the best and most professional in his profession, pushing his staff to the pinnacle of professionalism. House is a good example of how to create a great character in a medical procedural.

Oz

Oz is a wildly popular American television series. It follows the life of a fictional prison facility run by the inmate gang leader McManus. There are several groups of inmates, and not all of them survive. Some of these are African-American Homeboys like Wader and Redding, Muslim like Said and Arif, and Wiseguys like Pancamo and Mack. Other groups are Irish from Em City like Morale and Hernandez, and gays, who reside in El Norte.

Greetings.

How interesting you did more than 2, that's how I feel, I've watched and liked so many series that I don't know which one to choose, although I'll be mulling over which one I'll select.

Of the ones you posted I like Stranger Thing, for the plot and the setting, it is one of those series that touch suspense, mystery and fiction in a fun and entertaining way.

What I like most about the series is how they deal with the issue of parallel dimensions and scientific trials in terms of gifted humans.
Many successes

Hello @mtullus this is lovely as enjoyed reading your post. You jogged my memory of glimore girls. It's been so long since I watched the movie. I love that TV series because of how the mother and the daughter grew up together. Then also, Once Upon a Time, that TV series is off the hook. I am fan of fantasy and the series was satisfying to watch. I have so many TV series lol, but I think about that one I want to pick...

Nicely written!

A lot of good choices here, but my favorite out of your favorites is stranger things, I loved it and I can't wait for the new season.

I love The Simpsons and Stranger Things too! I used to watched Once Upon a Time for my work reference (I was a visual novel writer), but eventually I watched it for my pleasure too. You're right, it's fun to watch :D

The answer to these questions depends on whether the reader can relate to the main characters or not
