I never used to watch Japanese series or movies (even though I like anime, funny, if I'm weird, let it be complete haha) but there are some that really get you hooked. Especially those that show you more of what life is like in Japan and how it was, how they became what they are today, one of the most advanced countries, of course not everything is rosy.
The cultural clashes have always brought conflicts, to capture it in a series like this, would be interesting to watch 👌
