Hola amigos de la comunidad de Movies & Tv, espero que se encuentren bien el día de hoy. De las cosas que más disfruto es ver películas y descubrir nuevas historias para entretenerme, últimamente he estado volviendo a amar la cultura coreana ya sea en el ámbito del cine o las series que suelen ser muy adictivas. Uno de los actores que más me gusta actualmente, luego de ver el juego del calamar es Goon Yoo, hablar de su trayectoria sería abordar una historia llena de exitos y de mucha perseverancia en su trabajo convirtiéndolo en uno de los actores más reconocidos de Corea del Sur.
Hello friends of the Movies & Tv community, I hope you are doing well today. One of the things I enjoy the most is watching movies and discovering new stories to entertain me, lately I've been loving Korean culture again either in the realm of movies or series which are usually very addictive. One of the actors that I currently like the most, after watching the squid game is Goon Yoo, to talk about his career would be to approach a story full of success and a lot of perseverance in his work making him one of the most recognized actors in South Korea.
Decidí buscar películas y series donde saliera Goon Yoo y encontré una película que es bastante famosa y que fue estrenada en el año 2016, en esos tiempos escuché un poco sobre la película pero la verdad es que me causaba algo de miedo por ser del género horror y drama. Cuando crean esta combinación en una producción asiática la verdad es que se esfuerzan para que el público sienta muy real la historia, de manera que tanto física como emocionalmente te sientas devastado o con miedo 😱.
I decided to look for movies and series where Goon Yoo appeared and I found a movie that is quite famous and was released in 2016, at that time I heard a little about the movie but the truth is that it caused me some fear for being of the horror and drama genre. When they create this combination in an Asian production the truth is that they make an effort to make the audience feel very real the story, so that both physically and emotionally you feel devastated or scared 😱.
Train to Busan es una película surcoreana dirigida por Yeon Sang-ho protagonizada por Goon Yoo, la película se desarrolla en un contexto de una pandemia dentro del país, específicamente al comienzo no se sabe muy bien cómo va a surgir la pandemia pero luego te das cuenta de que es una historia de horror dónde hay una especie de virus que se contagia al ser mordido por una persona infectada. Esto causa una gran conmoción dentro del país y llena de miedo a cada una de las personas que se encuentran en Corea del Sur, pero Seok-woo (Goon Yoo) siendo el protagonista es el que sufrirá más por tratar de mantener a su hija a salvo mientras está dentro de un tren hacia Busan.
Train to Busan is a South Korean film directed by Yeon Sang-ho starring Goon Yoo, the film takes place in a context of a pandemic within the country, specifically at the beginning you do not know very well how the pandemic will arise but then you realize that it is a horror story where there is a kind of virus that is spread by being bitten by an infected person. This causes a great commotion within the country and fills every single person in South Korea with fear, but Seok-woo (Goon Yoo) being the main character is the one who will suffer the most trying to keep his daughter safe while he is inside a train to Busan.
Es bastante gráfica la película, vemos como las personas se convierten en zombies y cambian por completo desde sus movimientos hasta la forma en la que físicamente se ven, mostrando el desespero por encontrar a algún ser humano y poder moderlo con la intención de contagiarlos. Se siente la tensión en cada momento dentro del tren hacia Busan, dónde se encuentra Goon Yoo junto a su hija quien le pidió la llevará hasta ese lugar para encontrarse con su madre la cual no ve producto de la separación de sus padres.
The film is quite graphic, we see how people turn into zombies and change completely from their movements to the way they physically look, showing the desperation to find a human being and to be able to moderate it with the intention of infecting them. The tension is felt in every moment inside the train to Busan, where Goon Yoo is with his daughter who asked him to take her to that place to meet her mother, whom she does not see due to the separation of her parents.
Se mantiene el drama desde el primer momento en que comienza la película y va directo hacia la historia de la pandemia y los contagios, en esta historia Goon Yoo se destaca cómo un padre que a pesar de amar profundamente a su hija también ha cometido errores que lo hacen ver como un persona egoísta que solo piensa en si mismo pero que con el avance de la trama y toda la emergencia que se está viviendo en el país, comienza a cambiar y a preocuparse por lo que es más importante: sobrevivir y mantener a salvo a su hija cueste lo que cueste.
The drama is maintained from the first moment the film begins and goes straight to the story of the pandemic and the contagions, in this story Goon Yoo stands out as a father who despite deeply loving his daughter has also made mistakes that make him look like a selfish person who only thinks of himself but with the progress of the plot and all the emergency that is happening in the country, he begins to change and worry about what is most important: to survive and keep his daughter safe whatever it takes.
Hay un enfoque en el espacio dentro del tren donde se desarrolla básicamente toda la historia, en ese espacio hay personas infectadas y esto genera inquietud y miedo entre los que se encuentran dentro del tren. Goon Yoo junto a varios pasajeros hacen lo imposible por mantenerse con vida, cada uno tiene su propia historia y su manera de lidiar con la situación, algunos se ayudan entre si y otros simplemente desde el propio egoísmo deciden dejar a los demás atrás y salvarse mientras puedan.
There is a focus on the space inside the train where basically the whole story takes place, in that space there are infected people and this generates uneasiness and fear among those who are inside the train. Goon Yoo along with several passengers do the impossible to stay alive, each one has their own story and their own way of dealing with the situation, some help each other and others simply from their own selfishness decide to leave the others behind and save themselves while they can.
En mi opinión la película es buenísima y tiene varias reflexiones que se enfocan más allá de un brote de un virus, habla sobre los problemas que existen en el mundo y que se reflejan hoy en día, dónde a pesar de que la película fue estrenada hace casi una década muestra una realidad parecida a la que nos tocó vivir con la pandemia del COVID. El instinto de supervivencia es clave dentro de la historia y nos hace ver qué como seres humanos somos muy débiles ante situaciones que no pensamos que podrían sucedernos además de que se puede ver el lado real de las personas dentro de una situación que podría costarles la vida.
In my opinion the movie is very good and has several reflections that focus beyond an outbreak of a virus, it talks about the problems that exist in the world and that are reflected today, where despite the fact that the film was released almost a decade ago, it shows a reality similar to the one we had to live with the COVID pandemic. The survival instinct is key in the story and makes us see that as human beings we are very weak in situations that we did not think could happen to us and we can see the real side of people in a situation that could cost them their lives.
Goon Yoo se destacó una vez más cómo uno de los mejores actores de Corea del Sur y está película no tiene nada que pueda resaltar como malo excepto por el final que aunque pudo ser algo que se veía venir aún así guardaba la esperanza de que fuera diferente, sin embargo fue justo lo que debía pasar para cerrar esta historia de horror y de suspenso. Me gustó mucho aunque sufrí viendo las escenas de la muerte de varios personajes pero en estética y en la trama se merece un 10/10, si no la han visto aún recomiendo que la vean aunque tiene muchas escenas gráficas que pueden causarles miedo si no están acostumbrados a ver sangre o muertes de forma dramática.
Goon Yoo stood out once again as one of the best actors in South Korea and this movie has nothing that can stand out as bad except for the ending that although it could be something that could be seen coming I was still hoping for it to be different, however it was just what needed to happen to close this story of horror and suspense. I liked it a lot although I suffered watching the death scenes of several characters but in aesthetics and plot it deserves a 10/10, if you have not seen it yet I recommend you watch it although it has many graphic scenes that can cause you fear if you are not used to seeing blood or deaths in a dramatic way.

Sin lugar a dudas es una de las mejores producciones de Goon Yoo. El final es una locura. Lo del tren, la niña y los zombis demasiado dificil de sobrellevar. La trama es una locura.
