Hello friends, welcome to my blog, I join the initiative proposed by @littlegremlin of three LGTBIQ characters that are my favorites, I have several and I would say many, but I will focus on three films that were a classic and marked the good cinema of these communities with real and human characters that left clear messages above a gender label, because in the end we are all human beings.
Hola amigos bien bienvenidos a mi blog, me uno a la iniciativa propuesta por @littlegremlin de tres personajes LGTBIQ que sean mis favoritos, tengo varios y diría que muchos, pero me concentrare en tres películas que fueron un clásico y marcaron el buen cine de estas comunidades con personajes reales y humanos que dejaron claros mensajes por encima de una etiqueta de género, porque al final todos somos seres humanos.
Too Wong Foo
It is a comedy that tells the story of two Drag Queens who win the annual Drags contest in New York, and must travel to California to participate in the Drag Queens contest of the year. Noexeema Jaxon (Wesley Snipes) and Vida Boheme (Patrick Swayze) decide to sell their plane tickets to California and travel by road. During the trip they must confront a homophobic Sheriff, and they arrive at a town where the car broke down, there they will change the boring life of its inhabitants and the subjugated women of that town, they will teach them to feel beautiful and give themselves the value that they they deserve. The character of Vida (Patrick Swayze) is one of the best in the film, with his peculiar sense of humor he will make the women of the town see that the beauty of a woman is in the essence that comes from within, from her heart, of your safety and that having all that makeup and clothes only highlights it. Each of the characters in this movie are wonderful and I invite you to see it.
Durante el viaje deben confrontar a un Sheriff homófobo, y llegan a un pueblo donde el coche se les estropeara, allí cambiaran la vida aburrida de sus habitantes y de las mujeres sometidas de ese pueblo, les enseñaran a sentirse hermosas y a darse el valor que ellas se merecen. El personaje de Vida (Patrick Swayze) es uno de los mejores de la película, con su peculiar sentido del humor hará ver a las mujeres del pueblo que la belleza de una mujer en esta en la esencia que viene de adentro, de su corazón, de su seguridad y que al tener todo eso el maquillaje y la ropa solo lo resalta. Cada uno de los personajes de esta película son maravillosos y te invito a verla.

Hace un mes hice una reseña de esta maravillosa película, cuenta la historia de una pintora que va a retratar en una pintura a la novia de un aristócrata británico/francés, pero antes de aceptar casarse (un arreglo entre familias nobles), con la chica le pide a la familia que le envié una pintura de la chica para saber como es y aprobarla. La madre de la chica contrata a la hija de un conocido pintor para que haga el retrato, pero con la condición que su hija no se entere que es pintada porque se negaría y destruiría la pintura como anteriormente había hecho. Acá comienza una historia que narra el encuentro de un amor inesperado que trasciende y toca el alma de la pintora y su musa.
The character of Marianne (Noémie Merlant) and Héloïse (Adèle Haenel), teaches us that true love is giving up and loving without ties. I loved the character of Marianne, a character ahead of her time, but intelligently molding herself to the circumstances of the time, a character with an exceptional talent for painting and who knew how to overcome obstacles to pursue her career. As the German poet Friedrich Schiller used to say “love only knows who loves without hope”. I invite you to see it.
El personaje de Marianne (Noémie Merlant) y Héloïse (Adèle Haenel), nos enseña que el amor verdadero es renunciar y amar sin ataduras. Me encanto el personaje de Marianne un personaje adelantado a su tiempo, pero moldeándose a las circunstancias de la época de manera inteligente, un personaje con un talento excepcional para la pintura y que supo sortear los obstáculos para ejercer su carrera. Como decía el poeta alemán Friedrich Schiller “solo conoce el amor quien ama sin esperanza”. Te invito a verla.

The Bird Cage is the adaptation of a French-Italian film "LA Cage Aux Folle", based on a play that became a box office success in 1996, a film that broke stereotypes of the gay world and with one of the best actors of the moment such as one of its protagonists, Robin Williams and a group of renowned actors this film in my opinion is one of the best comedies and a classic of cinema.
Las jaulas de las locas es la adaptación de un de una película franco italiana “LA Cage Aux Folle”, basada en una obra teatral se convirtió en un suceso de taquilla en 1996, una película que rompió estereotipos del mundo gay y con uno de los mejores actores del momento como uno de sus protagonistas, Robin Williams y un grupo de actores de renombre está película en mi opinión es una de las mejores comedias y un clásico del cine.

El personaje de Armand dueño de un club Drag Queen, debe hacer creer a los padres de la novia de su hijo que es heterosexual y el amor que siente por su hijo y verlo feliz lo lleva a hacer todo para organizar la falsa y hacer creer a todos que un hombre de negocios serio y casado. Robin Williams en esta comedia se luce en su personaje y lo hace creíble, trasmite a pesar de todo que el amor no tiene sexo y que la familia, aunque no sea la convencional es una familia, con el amor, respeto y valores de una tradicional. Creo y es mi opinión particular que esta fue una de sus mejores comedias.
