Terrifier 2 is a movie not for the faint of heart, one of the best I've seen in a long time

If you're looking for a horror movie full of gore and fun, this is definitely the movie for you! This movie is the sequel to Terrifier (2016), and follows Art the Clown as he wreaks havoc in the city.

The movie begins with a scene in a theater where Art is about to be executed. But, of course, things don't go as planned and Art escapes to wreak havoc once again. From that point on, the film becomes a roller coaster of emotions.

The character of Art the Clown is undoubtedly the highlight of this film. He is one of the scariest clowns I have ever seen. The way he moves, his facial expression and his overall demeanor are just terrifying. Seriously, I don't know how the actor who plays him, David Howard Thornton, doesn't have nightmares every night after playing this role.

Art the Clown doesn't speak in the film, which makes his presence all the more terrifying. And while there seems to be nothing else driving him but brutally murdering his victims, there are some clues that there is something more sinister behind his clown mask.

The film is a constant parade of blood, guts and severed limbs (I'd like to share images but I don't think that would be allowed). There is no doubt that this movie is extremely violent, but it is so ridiculously over the top that it is actually funny. If you have a weak stomach, this movie is definitely not for you. But if you are a gore lover, you will definitely enjoy every minute of this movie!

The kill scenes are incredibly creative and have a very retro feel to them. Most of them involve Art torturing his victims in ingenious and unconventional ways. While some of the scenes may seem over the top, there is no doubt that they are entertaining. Undoubtedly frightening are all the ways in which Art murders his victims, but at the same time you will find it funny since he is a clown, and it has humorous touches.

The film's music is another highlight. It is composed by David Lawrence, who also composed the music for the first movie (I also saw it, but I'll give you a review of that movie later). The music is a perfect blend of the macabre and the funny, and it fits the overall tone of the film perfectly.

The supporting characters in the film are a bit one-dimensional, but in a movie like this, that's not really important. Most of them are there just to be killed off by Art. However, there is one character that stands out above the rest, and that's the character of Sienna.

The image comes from:

Sienna is the sister of one of Art's victims, and she is determined to make him pay for what he has done. She is a strong and determined character, and is one of the few characters that really feels like she has a full character arc.

While the film may not be for everyone due to its extremely violent nature, if you're a horror film lover, you should definitely give it a chance. Like me when I found it, I didn't even know an old movie existed, sure, let's understand that this movie went viral thanks to Terrifier 2 and not the original, however it is a work of art.

Beyond its violence and gore, it is a film that has a special charm thanks to its retro aesthetics and black humor. The way it is shot, with lighting reminiscent of horror films from the 80s and 90s, gives the film a sense of nostalgia that many horror moviegoers will appreciate.

In addition, there are several nods to classic horror films and other elements of the genre that horror movie fans will recognize and enjoy. From the music to the murder scenes, there are several homages to iconic horror films that are sure to please fans of the genre.

As for the plot, it is simple but effective. Art the Clown continues to wreak havoc in the city and is pursued by several supporting characters, including Sienna, who seeks revenge for the death of her sister. The plot can be predictable at times, but the film never fails to entertain thanks to the constant presence of Art the Clown.

And in closing, if you're looking for a horror film full of blood, gore and black humor, Terrifier 2 is definitely a film you must see. The presence of Art the Clown, the retro music and the nods to classic horror movies make this movie a unique and fun experience. But be aware that this movie is extremely violent and is not suitable for all audiences. If you have a strong enough stomach, I highly recommend you see it.

You should definitely give it a chance.

I don't know, I think I found it a bit boring, it was too long and several deaths were a bit expected, at the end it became repetitive and a bit "meh". I would have liked it to be maybe 40 minutes shorter, like the first one, which was more concise and direct than this one.

Still, I look forward to the third part to see if it redeems itself a bit and they go back to mindless killing without much unnecessary story.

Regards ✌️

Hah, someone pointed it out before i did, good one :D

Hahahahaha, it is what it is. The movie disappointed me a little 😅

Cant do a single thing about a movie sequel being bad, right?

Maybe, but I think it lasted so long for viewers to enjoy all the gore in it, however it depends on taste. Cheers! :D

By the way, yes I did post the image sources hehe.

Well, i think that this film is slightly boring compared to the first part, but well, such is life.

The first one is great too, but the problem is that it's not as gory, and I love blood hahaha.
