En esta ocasión voy a compartir mis impresiones sobre la película Free Guy: tomando el control. El argumento principal se sostiene sobre la inteligencia artificial involucrada en los videojuegos, resulta interesante por su propuesta, distinta a otros filmes sobre el tema. Ryan Reynolds, protagonista del filme, asume su rol como un personaje desenfadado que se ve envuelto en una gran aventura que le lleva a realizar un viaje intrínseco hacia el descubrimiento de sí mismo, por supuesto es complicado observar a Reynolds y no relacionarlo con Deadpool, aunque acá se advierte muy alejado del humor negro y la ironía propia de su personaje en Marvel.
Los gamers, sin duda, disfrutarán esta cinta pues se utiliza en los diálogos una buena dosis del tecnicismo propio de este universo virtual. Algunas escenas llenas de vibrantes colores le otorgan matices visuales que son atractivos a los espectadores. Acá se pueden apreciar referencias a videojuegos tales como Grand Theft Auto, Fortnite y Ready Player One, muy populares en la actualidad. También noté semejanzas en la trama con películas como Rompe Ralph, Atrapado en el tiempo, Ready Player One, Matrix y The Truman Show, en las cuales existen realidades paralelas que son alteradas porque los protagonistas no están de acuerdo con el funcionamiento de ese mundo y deciden construir su propio destino.
Free Guy es una película para ser disfrutada por todo tipo de público, se puede apreciar un guion bastante sencillo envuelto en efectos especiales vistosos. Una mezcla de comedia, acción y romance aderezada con un humor que resulta refrescante en ciertos pasajes aunque los chistes en los momentos menos oportunos se han vuelto un mecanismo recurrente en el cine de este tipo, le resta tensión a las escenas más emocionantes. Otro eje que funciona bien es el uso del amor romántico como un motivo para propiciar acciones, en este caso Guy está programado para enamorarse de la Chica Molotov y a partir de allí derivan los cuestionamientos que dan vida a la trama principal.

Free Guy is a movie to be enjoyed by all kinds of audiences, you can see a fairly simple script wrapped in eye-catching special effects. A mixture of comedy, action and romance seasoned with a humor that is refreshing in certain passages, although jokes at the least opportune moments have become a recurring mechanism in films of this type, it takes the tension out of the most exciting scenes. Another axis that works well is the use of romantic love as a reason to encourage actions, in this case Guy is programmed to fall in love with the Molotov Girl and from there the questions that give life to the main plot derive.
El desenvolvimiento en escena de Taika Waititi no funcionó muy bien, pues es un antagonista risible en gran medida por sus diálogos y gestos, además, sus planes resultan confusos y sin profundidad, aquí representa a un jefe intransigente que desea ver resultados sin importar el bienestar de las personas. En cambio, la interpretación de Joe Keery me parece creíble, es el chico brillante que apuesta todo por ver cumplido sus sueños. Asimismo, la actuación de Jodie Comer considero que es de las mejores de este elenco, supo encarnar a una heroína valiente y decidida, al avatar conocido como Chica Molotov, al tiempo que interpreta a Millie en su realidad humana. Su principal objetivo es desenmascarar al antagonista hallando pruebas del robo del videojuego que ella realizó junto a Keys. Por su parte, Lil Rel Howery le concede un toque de inocencia y comedia al filme, aunque su papel es prescindible.
Un aspecto que estuvo, desde mi juicio, fuera de lugar fue el personaje creado para combatir con Guy en la escena final, fabrican una exagerada versión musculosa de él mismo, un fortachón que resulta ser un bufón muy tonto, el cual es vencido con el mínimo esfuerzo por el protagonista. Luego, esta versión exagerada se convierte en un amigo más del vecindario debido a que la ciudad se salva de la destrucción y es liberada del maligno programador. De esta forma, los habitantes del videojuego adquieren conciencia y empiezan a vivir de acuerdo a sus ideologías.
Taika Waititi's development on stage did not work very well, since he is a laughable antagonist largely due to his dialogues and gestures, in addition, his plans are confusing and without depth, here he represents an uncompromising boss who wants to see results regardless of well-being of people. On the other hand, Joe Keery's interpretation seems credible to me, he is the brilliant boy who bets everything to see his dreams come true. Likewise, I consider Jodie Comer's performance to be one of the best in this cast, she knew how to embody a brave and determined heroine, the avatar known as Molotov Girl, while playing Millie in her human reality. Her main objective is to unmask the antagonist by finding evidence of the theft of the video game that she carried out with Keys. For his part, Lil Rel Howery gives the film a touch of innocence and comedy, although his role is expendable.
One aspect that was, in my opinion, out of place was the character created to fight Guy in the final scene, they make an exaggerated muscular version of himself, a strong man who turns out to be a very dumb jester, who is defeated with the minimum effort by the protagonist. Later, this exaggerated version becomes just another friend of the neighborhood as the city is saved from destruction and freed from the evil programmer. In this way, the inhabitants of the video game become aware and begin to live according to their ideologies.
En la parte reflexiva, se distingue una gran lección de vida, se trata del hecho de que Guy, a pesar de sentir amor, entiende que no es algo verdadero puesto que fue programado para tal fin. En este caso, la enseñanza sería desprenderse de aquella persona que se imagina ideal, pero luego se descubre que no es así o de no insistir con amores imposibles que traen amarguras y pérdidas de tiempo. Guy comprende que él es un avatar en un mundo de ficción y que Millie es una chica real que no está enamorada de él, por tanto, cada uno regresará a donde pertenece tras culminar cada sesión del juego.
Frey Guy es una película entretenida que apela a una ración de chistes para sacar una que otra sonrisa, el carisma de Reynolds, en esta etapa de su carrera, y su buena actuación logran el objetivo. Las escenas de acción y los efectos especiales lucen bien concebidos así que también añaden puntos positivos a este largometraje.
In the reflective part, a great life lesson is distinguished is the fact that Guy, despite feeling love, understands that it is not something true since he was programmed for that purpose. In this case, the teaching would be to get rid of that person who imagines himself to be ideal, but later it is discovered that this is not the case or not to insist on impossible loves that bring bitterness and waste of time. Guy understands that he is an avatar in a fictional world and that Millie is a real girl who is not in love with him, so they will each return to where they belong after each game session is over.
Frey Guy is an entertaining movie that appeals to a portion of jokes to get one or another smile, Reynolds's charisma, at this stage of his career, and his good performance achieve the goal. The action scenes and special effects look well conceived so they also add positive points to this feature film.

Me pareció un film entretenido, para pasar el rato, venia de ver una peli que no me gusto y quería sacarme el calvo, entonces me dispuse a ver esta, por eso me gusto mas, me hizo olvidar la otra. No es un film para tomárselo en serio, solo disfrutar de sus locuras. Espero que hagan una secuela.

Es una película entretenida sobre todo como lo dices para lo que en alguna oportunidad jugamos los videojuegos con este tipo de personajes. A mí me gustó a pesar de ciertos fallos. El antagonista como lo mencionas es risible y no cuadra mucho.
Con cierta reflexión existencial nos deja en puntos generales una película entretenida.

Hola @ramisey vi esta película hace meses y la verdad es de esas pocas películas que te muestran que lo sencillo puede ser divertido y que no siempre el personaje de un juego o película debe ser el mas espectacular para conquistar a la audiencia y esta película lo logra desde una historia atractiva y unos personajes con los que puedes conectar rápidamente.

This trend of forcing out of place jokes is awful and kills the mood (sometimes even the movie).
The best example that comes to my mind is kungfu panda, while 2 was a masterpiece in pacing and character development, 3 took everything the previous movie did right and threw out of the window. The unfunny and constant jokes were insufferable.

This film is far from the usual genre I'd check out, but out of random interest I decided to watch it a few weeks ago. It wasn't as bad as I assumed, but the scenes featuring internet figures certainly lost me!

I loved this film, not only how fun it was, but the idea of a AI evolving and becoming sentient while inhabiting a virtual video game world. This particular topic could also be approached in a more serious way but I surely enjoyed the relaxed comedy from this film.
