Movie Review: The Mist – When Fog Hides Nightmares!

Look, sir, if you like movies that grab you from the first minute and keep you on edge until the last scene, then "The Mist" is the movie you should watch. The movie is based on a story by Stephen King, and that alone is enough to tell you that you are entering something that is not easy.

The story is simple

The story begins after a severe storm in a small town, our hero "David" takes his son and they go to the supermarket to get some things, but suddenly the world turns upside down when a heavy fog covers the whole place. Of course, like any normal human being, people get scared and start asking questions: Where did this fog come from? And why doesn't everyone who enters it come back?!

Psychological horror before actual horror

Here, the movie shows us that horror is not only in the monsters in the fog, but also in the people themselves. The supermarket they were in became like a miniature of the world, and everyone had their own way of dealing with fear. Some people act rationally, and others turn into creatures more frightening than the monsters outside!

Thomas Jane's acting was excellent, but the one who will feel that she provokes you the most is Marsha Gay Harden, who played the role of the religious extremist. This character will make you want to bang your head against the wall because of her stupidity and her effect on people. Director Frank Darabont was able to make the atmosphere tense to the point that you will feel like you are trapped with them in the place.

The End That Has No Solution!

The thing that will remain most engraved in your mind after the movie is its ending. In the end, if you are the type who loves happy endings, prepare to be shocked. This ending is not only shocking, it can make you sit and think about it for days.

If you like psychological horror and situations that reveal people's true colors, you will really like "The Mist". It's not just a movie about monsters and fog, it shows you how fear can turn people into something much worse than any terrifying creature.
