How i met your Mother is one of the best sitcoms, with characteristics that could make it the most interesting and special, there is no other that makes you feel so good in each episode, practically all of them leave you a good moral, in addition to having a story linear and a clear objective, something that many other sitcoms lack. All the essence and the atmosphere that the characters create is unique but today we are going to talk about the end of the series

Perhaps one of the most hated endings on television, degrading the entire series. but... Was it that bad? It was all a mistake?

Personally, I can say that it was a good ending, if we talk about the last scene, the idea with which the series closes, because as an episode it is horrible.
Everyone complains that the ending is unfair and sad but it can't be more faithful and perfect to what how i met your mother represents

From the beginning the story is about how Ted met his wife, the mother of his children, but is it really about that? the series begins 10 years before meeting his wife, just on the day that ted meets robin and from that point detonates the whole story. Why start the trip 10 years before and with the arrival of another woman?
Ted just wanted to tell his children how important Robin is to him, and the story is in its entirety about that, but going deeper ..

The ending is the perfect example of how "how i met your mother" represents the world, one of the reasons why this sitcom is superior to the others is because its characters are very human and it always maintains that essence, its emotional problems are explored in the series and it always keeps me a bittersweet flavor, behind that romantic and beautiful vision of life are hard moments that remind us that the world has two faces, love is not always sweet, being a mother is not always beautiful, being rich and handsome does not always mean being happy and that makes the moments of reflection much more real and strong, if everything were beautiful and perfect for the protagonists with trivial problems this would be a copy of "friend", and this leads us to final

The series behind the romantic odyssey of ted and robin ... tries to explain what love means to humans in the modern world, normally love is always presented as something of destiny as the same series does it most of the time but in the end the same ted realizes that the so-called destiny is an interpretation of our desires.

Fate did not give ted love, he looked for it, the being made an effort to look for the women he loves, his will gave him love, not the destiny and that is the key to understanding the perfect final ... .it's not perfect, nor magical, it's real. The plot doesn't close with everyone being happy, in some stages of life everything is dark

Tracy dies, the right person, the love of his life is unfairly taken from him ... because those things sometimes happen in real life, how i met your Mother never tries to show a perfect world, when tracy dies shows us that life can be cruel but also beautiful because even if she was the one ... the story of Ted and Robin was built so that they ended up together from the beginning...
Ted gave everything for Robin, she was the woman he effort the most for in his life and in the end they stay together, after the greatest tragedy of his life, but finally he stays with her ... Because with the idea of that end all those potholes, years of conflict, that romantic odyssey between them… .makes their story the true perfect love story

I partially agree with you, for me the problem was how rushed the ending was but I like the idea of Ted going back to Robin, it’s fitting with the themes and conflicts introduced back in season 1.
