Un saludo cordial a toda la comunidad Cinéfila es un honor estar por aquí nuevamente con una pequeña reseña de una serie que he tenido la oportunidad de ver con mucha intriga, tensión, dudas y ganas de saber más de lo que ya fue presentado. Como amante de la películas y series tengo una regla o por lo menos algo que me dice en tiempo real cuando algo vale la pena verlo hasta el final y es que si me engancha y en un día me como una serie es porque la verdad es imperdible y no puedes dejar de verlo.
Vivimos bombardeados de mucha publicidad de plataformas de Streaming o canales de T.V con alto poder de publicidad que llega a millones de personas y por lo tanto es fácil que capten nuestra atención y nos enfocamos únicamente en el contenido que nos ofrece lo cual no está del todo mal ya que poseen contenido muy bueno, pero dejamos por fuera plataformas o canales que tiene un contenido igual de bueno. Hace poco me topé con Epix un canal de televisión satelital que cuenta con una programación interesante.

A cordial greeting to all the Cinephiles community, it is an honor to be here again with a small review of a series that I have had the opportunity to see with a lot of intrigue, tension, doubts and desire to know more than what has already been presented. As a lover of movies and series I have a rule or at least something that tells me in real time when something is worth watching until the end and that is that if I get hooked and in one day I eat a series is because the truth is unmissable and you can not stop watching it.
We live bombarded with a lot of advertising platforms Streaming or T.V channels with high advertising power that reaches millions of people and therefore it is easy to capture our attention and we focus only on the content offered which is not entirely wrong because they have very good content, but we leave out platforms or channels that have equally good content. I recently came across Epix a satellite TV channel that has interesting programming.
FROM es una serie estrenada el 20 de febrero del 2022 con un total de 10 episodios dirigida por (John Griffin) y de los creadores de LOST si esa exitosa serie que juega con nuestra cabeza durante varias temporadas. Cada episodio tiene una duración de 50 minutos los cuales nos introducen por un camino donde la sangre y las escenas gore no tienen censura, donde el misterio es difícil de predecir y la tensión logra captar nuestra atención.

🎬 FROM is a series premiering on February 20, 2022 with a total of 10 episodes directed by (John Griffin) and from the creators of LOST if that successful series that plays with our heads for several seasons. Each episode has a duration of 50 minutes which introduce us to a path where blood and gore scenes are uncensored, where the mystery is difficult to predict and the tension manages to capture our attention.

🎬 ¿DE QUÉ TRATA LA SERIE?
¡TE LO CUENTO RÁPIDO Y SIN SPOILERS, POR SI AÚN NO LA HAS VISTO!
En un pueblo oculto por montañas y vegetación se encuentra un pueblo que aparenta estar abandonado donde las casas se ven deterioradas y con una atmósfera de pueblo fantasma. Donde una familia se topa por error con el pueblo y es abordada por un misterioso hombre que les pide que salgan del auto antes de que cosas terribles lleguen a ocurrir.
Esto alerta a la familia y sin dudarlo huyen del lugar dando entrada a un momento donde la tensión toma el poder cuando se dan cuenta que están dando vueltas en círculo y terminan en el pueblo sin importar el camino que tomen. Esta situación se torna complicada cuando la familia al intentar huir se topa con otro vehículo y sufren un accidente que los deja inconscientes y sin poder salir del auto antes que la noche caiga y el mal tome el control de sus vidas.
🎬 WHAT IS THE SERIES ABOUT?
I'LL TELL YOU QUICKLY AND WITHOUT SPOILERS, IN CASE YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT YET!
In a town hidden by mountains and vegetation is a town that appears to be abandoned where the houses look dilapidated and with a ghost town atmosphere. Where a family stumbles upon the town by mistake and is approached by a mysterious man who asks them to get out of the car before terrible things happen.
This alerts the family and without hesitation they flee the place giving entrance to a moment where tension takes over when they realize that they are going around in a circle and end up in the town no matter which way they go. This situation becomes complicated when the family tries to flee and runs into another vehicle and suffers an accident that leaves them unconscious and unable to get out of the car before night falls and evil takes control of their lives.
El pueblo se encuentra dentro de una especie de domo que es controlada por fuerzas demoníacas y al caer la noche estas criaturas intentan engañar a las personas del pueblo con falsos recuerdos y cuando logran su cometido son víctimas de escenas gore donde los cuerpos se abren a la mitad y la sangre pinta todo a su alrededor de sangre y terror. El suspenso es parte esencial de la serie y cada personaje logra transmitir lo que pasaría si en la vida real pasáramos por dicha situación.
Lo más impactante es que todas las personas del pueblo no son locales ya que cada una de ellas ha terminado en este lugar de la misma manera y por años se han mantenido atrapadas y rodeadas de un terror que puede helar la carne de cualquier ser vivo. Una serie de amuletos es lo que los protege de estos demonios y deben buscar la forma de escapar de este lugar antes que la tierra se los coma y no puedan regresar con sus seres queridos.
Una serie que captará tu atención muy rápido y con un estilo donde su fotografía tiene gran peso ya que te sumerge en ese ambiente desolado donde la fe y la esperanza parece que no tuviera lugar y el vivir un día a la vez es la única forma de salir de ese oscuro momento que vive cada personaje.
🎬 The town is inside a kind of dome that is controlled by demonic forces and at nightfall these creatures try to deceive the townspeople with false memories and when they succeed they are victims of gore scenes where bodies are cut open and blood paints everything around them with blood and terror. Suspense is an essential part of the series and each character manages to convey what would happen if in real life we were to go through such a situation.
The most shocking thing is that all the people in the town are not locals since each one of them has ended up in this place in the same way and for years they have been trapped and surrounded by a terror that can freeze the flesh of any living being. A series of amulets is what protects them from these demons and they must find a way to escape this place before the earth eats them and they cannot return to their loved ones.
A series that will capture your attention very quickly and with a style where its photography has great weight as it immerses you in that desolate environment where faith and hope seems to have no place and living one day at a time is the only way out of that dark moment that each character lives.
🎬 MI OPINIÓN LIBRE DE SPOILERS
Anoche tuve la oportunidad de ver el episodio Numero 10 el cual deja claro el cierre de una primera temporada, pero no el final de dicha serie ya que quedaron muchas cosas por resolver y varios misterios que siento que apenas hemos visto la punta del iceberg. Lo cual es genial ya que tomando en cuenta que son 10 episodios con una duración de 50 minutos cada uno podríamos pensar que tienen el espacio suficiente para darnos a conocer muchos detalles de la serie y sus misterios y la verdad que no ya que cada episodio tiene algo que contarnos y sin temor a equivocarme no sentí que se torna repetitiva mas bien siento que es como ver la historia de cada personaje y de lo que giró en torno al pueblo y sus demonios.
Cada episodio cuenta con el desarrollo perfecto de cada personaje y las escenas de sangre tiene el estilo gore perfecto no tiene censura y te muestran a detalle lo que sucede. Lo que sí le adelanto es que no tienen muchas escenas de este estilo ya que se enfocan en darle protagonismo al misterio y la tensión que se puede generar. No dan vueltas en círculo lo cual es importante ya que no la hacen repetitiva sino más bien lo suficientemente entretenida como para no aburrirte y no que tener que soltar todo de un solo golpe y eso es un punto a su favor ya que pueden sacar mas episodios sin que se sienta que es un relleno.
🎬 MY OPINION FREE OF SPOILERS
Last night I had the opportunity to watch episode Number 10 which makes clear the closure of a first season, but not the end of that series as there were many things left to solve and several mysteries that I feel we have barely seen the tip of the iceberg. Which is great because taking into account that there are 10 episodes with a duration of 50 minutes each one we could think that they have enough space to give us to know many details of the series and its mysteries and the truth is that each episode has something to tell us and without fear of being wrong I did not feel that it becomes repetitive rather I feel that it is like seeing the story of each character and what revolved around the people and their demons.
Each episode has the perfect development of each character and the blood scenes have the perfect gore style and are uncensored and show you in detail what is going on. What I will tell you is that they do not have many scenes of this style because they focus on giving prominence to the mystery and the tension that can be generated. They don't go around in circles which is important since they don't make it repetitive but rather entertaining enough to not bore you and not have to drop everything in one shot and that's a point in their favor since they can get more episodes out without it feeling like filler.
Sus personajes tienen distintas historias y una razón para salir de ese lugar, pero también esconden secretos que lo hace víctimas de lo que pasa en el pueblo donde no escapan de lo que sucede en el lugar, sino que también en sus mentes juega un papel importante. La religión parece querer tocar las puestas dentro de la serie, pero de una forma sutil ya que no es una herramienta para transmitir terror de alguna manera, sino más bien para poner un equilibrio entre cada situación.
La serie LOST nos atrapo por que supo llevarnos al siguiente nivel en cuanto a lo que no se muestra, pero que es de suma importancia para el desarrollo de la historia y con FROM pasa exactamente lo mismo y quizás el final sea un poco tonto o que nos saque de onda y esto lo entenderán muy bien los que vieron el final de LOST. Siento que puede que pase algo por el estilo, aunque no me cierro a una nueva experiencia ya que lo que he visto me atrapa y muero por ver una segunda temporada.
ACTORES Y SUS PERSONAJES
Como lo he mencionado desde el inicio los personajes son clave y cada uno tiene su lugar aquí no se concentran en X o Y personaje ya que harían de la serie algo predecible y si uno mas que otro tiene más protagonismo, pero eso no deja por fuera que cada uno tiene su importancia.
El personaje de Boyd interpretado por (Harold Perrineau) es un oficial de policía dentro del pueblo y unos de los últimos en llegar al pueblo y toparse con esta oscura realidad. Este personaje en particular lucha con sus propios demonios y los del pueblo lo que hacen más intensa su relación con los demás ya que es el protector y donde todos tienen su fe puesta. Me gusto como fue interpretado el personaje ya que no es de esos que tiene todo bajo control y mucho menos las respuestas y eso lo hace más humano. No queremos un héroe que supere lo que en el mundo real sería una total locura.
🎬 Its characters have different stories and a reason to leave that place, but they also hide secrets that make them victims of what happens in the town where they do not escape from what happens in the place, but also in their minds plays an important role. Religion seems to want to touch the settings within the series, but in a subtle way as it is not a tool to convey terror in any way, but rather to put a balance between each situation.
The series LOST caught us because it knew how to take us to the next level in terms of what is not shown, but that is of utmost importance to the development of the story and with FROM the exact same thing happens and perhaps the ending is a little silly or that takes us out of the loop and this will understand very well those who saw the end of LOST. I feel that something like that might happen, although I'm not closed to a new experience since what I've seen catches me and I'm dying to see a second season.
ACTORS AND THEIR CHARACTERS.
As I have mentioned from the beginning the characters are key and each one has its place here do not focus on X or Y character because it would make the series something predictable and if one more than another has more prominence, but that does not leave out that each one has its importance.
The character of Boyd played by (Harold Perrineau) is a police officer within the town and one of the last to arrive in town and encounter this dark reality. This particular character struggles with his own demons and those of the town which makes his relationship with the others more intense as he is the protector and where everyone has their faith. I liked how the character was played as he is not one of those who has everything under control let alone the answers and that makes him more human. We don't want a hero who overcomes what in the real world would be total insanity.
Por otro lado tenemos al personaje Jim (Eion Bailey) quien fue el último en llegar al pueblo con su familia aquí las cosas pintan de otra forma ya que al ser las ultima personas en llegar al pueblo y toparse con esta realidad es más difícil que se integren y sientan que todo es una pesadilla lo cual los saca de la realidad y los mantiene contra la pared ante cualquier situación y es donde logramos disfrutar de la serie ya que nosotros como espectadores tomamos el lugar de esa familia ya que los demás personajes saben en donde están parados.
🎬 On the other hand we have the character Jim (Eion Bailey) who was the last to arrive in town with his family here things look different since being the last people to arrive in town and encounter this reality is more difficult to integrate and feel that everything is a nightmare which takes them out of reality and keeps them against the wall in any situation and is where we enjoy the series since we as viewers take the place of that family since the other characters know where they stand.
Otro de los personajes que de verdad disfruto y es clave en todo esto es el de Sara (Avery Konrad) qué forma de interpretar un personaje donde quedas en medio de ese sentimiento de amor y odio y vaya eso ya es premio para los que disfrutamos de personajes oscuros. Una joven sensible ante las emociones y llena de un sufrimiento que recoge la maldad del lugar y es la herramienta perfecta para darle vida al terror dentro del pueblo, aunque ella no es quien lleva cada muerte o cosa extraña que pase en lugar, pero si el puente entre los vivos y muertos.
🎬 Another character that I really enjoy and is key in all this is Sara (Avery Konrad) what a way to play a character where you are in the middle of that feeling of love and hate and wow that's a prize for those who enjoy dark characters. A young girl sensitive to emotions and full of suffering that picks up the evil of the place and is the perfect tool to give life to the terror within the town, although she is not the one who carries every death or strange thing that happens in place, but if the bridge between the living and the dead.
Tenemos una docena de personajes con gran importancia y con un lugar dentro de la serie que sin duda te dejarán satisfecho y con ganas de conocer más de cada uno.
¿LA RECOMIENDO?
Seré muy directo con ustedes yo ame esta serie con todo mi ser y no se imagina lo difícil que era tener que esperar el momento en que liberaba cada episodio ya que no era de un solo golpe y algo que me sorprendió es que se está hablando muy poco de esta serie en redes sociales lo cual es brutal ya que no encontrarás ningún Spoilers.
Cuando algo me gusta es difícil ocultarlo y aquí creo que te lo he demostrado con mi pequeña reseña desde su historia como personajes que me hubiera gustado contarte más, pero no quería tocar terrenos prohibidos y darte el chance de que la veas con muy poca información. Si definitivamente si se las recomiendo con los ojos cerrados no tiene pérdida alguna mis amigos cinéfilos.
🎬 We have a dozen characters with great importance and a place within the series that will undoubtedly leave you satisfied and wanting to know more about each one.
DO I RECOMMEND IT?
I will be very direct with you I loved this series with all my being and you can't imagine how hard it was to have to wait for the moment when it released each episode since it wasn't in one shot and something that surprised me is that very little is being said about this series on social networks which is brutal since you won't find any Spoilers.
When I like something it's hard to hide it and here I think I've proved it to you with my little review from its story as characters that I would have liked to tell you more about, but I didn't want to touch forbidden grounds and give you the chance to watch it with very little information. Yes, I definitely recommend it with my eyes closed, you can't miss it my cinephile friends.

LO MALO
Pocas escenas de terror, dónde la sangre no se hace tan presente como me hubiera gustado. Le fueron bajando el tono después de los primeros episodios.
Que me dejan con ganas de más después de 10 episodios.
LO BUENO
El suspenso sin duda domina la serie y eso ya de por sí es un gran punto a su favor, te muestra poco y te deja con ganas de más.
Cada personaje tiene su tiempo y espacio lo cual no deja espacio para escenas repetitivas ya que cada personaje es distinto.

THE BAD
- Few horror scenes, where the blood is not as present as I would have liked. The tone was lowered after the first few episodes.
- That left me wanting more after 10 episodes.
THE GOOD THING
- Suspense undoubtedly dominates the series and that in itself is a great point in its favor, it shows you little and leaves you wanting more.
- Each character has its time and space which leaves no room for repetitive scenes as each character is different.

Interesante serie tiene un enfoque que atrae bastante, un buen suspenso que mantiene al espectador a pesar del poco terror.
Colocaste como malo de la serie el hecho de tener que esperar luego del episodio 10 jajaja. Eso es lo mejor en las series que dejen esa sensación, claro, lo mejor es tener todos los episodios a la mano jajaja.

Hola @joheredia21 que sorpresa tenerte por aquí y que fino que comentes mi pequeña reseña. Si tiene poco terror esperaba un poco mas ya que se presta para que exploten ese recurso, pero aun así te mantiene pegado a la pantalla y eso es lo que me gusto, espero con locura una segunda temporada.

Sin duda se ve que es una serie que te deja pegado a la pantalla, aunque no soy fan del gore puedo decir que la trama se ve bastante buena y se podría decir que tiene algo de original que no he visto en otra parte, aunque en momentos me recordó a la película de terror donde salían los muñecos de cera, no recuerdo el nombre, pero esto como que va más allá y me resulta bastante interesante, tanto que ya me dio curiosidad por verla, siento que será algo diferente a lo que ya estamos acostumbrados a ver cuando del genero de terror se trata, excelente reseña amigo @ronycine
Holaaa @dayna199019 te cuento que he investigado en el baúl de los recuerdos de esas series que he visto y vaya sin temor a equivocarme no encuentro una que se le parezca ya que la trama principal parte desde un punto claro un grupo de personas que por alguna razón terminaron en este lugar y cada noche deben escapar de las fuerzas malignas.
Se podría pensar que gira al rededor de este argumento y la verdad es que no tiene tantas ramas que es difícil unir cada situación con la trama principal. Me gusto lo sutil y directo siento que no se andan con rodeos al momento de presentar cada personaje y lo que sucede ya eso te deja claro que no repetirán lo mismo en cada oportunidad. Jajaja no quiero seguir repitiendo nada, pero joder tienes que echarle un vistazo de pana vale la pena.

Si realmente se ve que es original, solo que por algo la relacione con esa película de los muñecos de cera porque también se desarrollaba la trama en un pueblo, pero esta sin duda se ve que tiene mucho más argumento como tu dices. Lo bueno es que no resulta repetitivo por lo que dices, eso es importante y claro que si, la veré que tengo mucho tiempo que no veo nada parecido a esto o que tengo algo de original y diferente a lo mismo de siempre. saludos.
Sabes me tomaré el atrevimiento de decirte que está serie recoge algo de Misa de medianoche y La maldición de Hill House y lo desarrollan muy bien dentro de su mundo.
Epa no digo que FROM sea mucho mejor, pero si llevan la historia muy bien, solo espero que no la vayan a cargar.
se nota que la serie es buena si te gusto seguro que si es buena , cuando tenga un tiempo la veré , la temática gore que explicas que tiene me llama la atención y el hecho de que es una ciudad de demonios esta bastante interesante , gracias por compartir
