Las películas son un escape de nuestra realidad, una ventana abierta a un mundo mágico, hermosos, poético, de momentos divertidos como trágicos que vienen acompañados de un mar de emociones que pueden enamorarte como destrozarte sin previo aviso es como una montaña rusa a toda velocidad con pequeños intervalos de tiempo para descansar y luego sumergirte en esa historia que llevará al espectador hacia caminos diferentes y llenos de sorpresas. Cuando una película está envuelta en Drama y Terror las emociones se multiplican por dos y el nivel de tensión puede elevarse por las nubes en cuestión de minutos llevando al espectador de un lugar a otro sin un mínimo de respiro poniendo a prueba tu resistencia y la manera en como puedes asimilar situaciones que son totalmente ficción, pero nada alejadas de una posible realidad.

Movies are an escape from our reality, an open window to a magical world, beautiful, poetic, of funny and tragic moments that come with a sea of emotions that can make you fall in love or destroy you without warning. It is like a roller coaster at full speed with small intervals of time to rest and then dive into that story that will take the viewer to different paths full of surprises. When a movie is wrapped in Drama and Horror the emotions are multiplied by two and the tension level can rise through the roof in a matter of minutes taking the viewer from one place to another without a minimum of respite testing your endurance and the way you can assimilate situations that are totally fiction, but not far from a possible reality.
He tenido la oportunidad a lo largo de mi vida como cinéfilo o amante de las películas de toparme con joyas como Martyrs, I Spit on Your Grave, Maniac y Audition, películas que muestran ese lado mórbido y crudo de una sociedad que se esconde en lo más profundo de la noche y destroza todo lo que se encuentre a su alrededor sin una gota de humanidad y partiendo de un infierno que ni la misma tierra en que se cometen tales hechos puede digerir sin vomitar las entrañas de la misma. Son películas que tienen una intención clara de incomodar al espectador, pero mostrando lo que el ser humano es capaz de hacer a otro humano sin una gota de remordimiento. La violencia en estas películas puede ser tan grotesca que muchas veces retiramos la mirada de la pantalla y al mismo tiempo intentamos digerir lo que esta pasando llevándolo a un terreno más real y sabiendo que las consecuencias de esos actos son tan imperdonables como cualquier violación o ataque a la vida misma.
¿Cuál ha sido tu peor pesadilla?, ¿has pensado qué harías en una situación donde tu vida está en juego? Quizás estas preguntas no estén en tu radar, pero déjame decirte que desde este momento te harás esa pregunta y de seguro la respuesta no te gustara.

🎬 I have had the opportunity throughout my life as a cinephile or movie lover to come across gems like Martyrs, I Spit on Your Grave, Maniac and Audition, films that show that morbid and raw side of a society that hides in the deepest depths of the night and destroys everything around it without a drop of humanity and starting from a hell that not even the very earth in which such deeds are committed can digest without vomiting up the entrails of it. They are films that have a clear intention to make the viewer uncomfortable, but showing what the human being is capable of doing to another human being without a drop of remorse. The violence in these films can be so grotesque that we often look away from the screen and at the same time try to digest what is happening by taking it to a more real ground and knowing that the consequences of these acts are as unforgivable as any rape or attack on life itself.
What has been your worst nightmare, have you thought about what you would do in a situation where your life is at stake? Maybe these questions are not on your radar, but let me tell you that from this moment on you will ask yourself that question and for sure you will not like the answer.

Protagonizada por (Mylène Farmer), (Emilia Jones) y (Taylor Hickson) quienes le darán vida a una madre soltera y sus dos hijas quien se encuentra en plena mudanza en su nueva casa donde comenzarán una nueva vida a pesar de no estar muy convencidas de este nuevo paso que tendrán que dar sin importar las circunstancias o como se sientan con respecto a dar un giro de 360 grados a sus vidas.

Starring (Mylène Farmer), (Emilia Jones) and (Taylor Hickson) who will give life to a single mother and her two daughters who are in the middle of moving into their new home where they will start a new life despite not being very convinced of this new step they will have to take no matter the circumstances or how they feel about giving a 360 degree turn to their lives.

🎬 MI OPINIÓN LIBRE DE SPOILERS
La combinación de dos géneros como el Drama y Terror son la mezcla perfecta cuando se llevan por el camino correcto y nos deleitan como una historia sólida que no cae en lo repetitivo y en lo cliché de una infinidad de películas que celan el género desde hace muchos años. Algo que debemos tener claro como espectadores es que no siempre una historia por muy original que parezca será la mejor y no por ser predecible será la peor de la historia es algo que siempre debemos tener en cuenta.
Hace unas semanas me topo con Ghostland y puedo decir que es tan descabellada como brutal en todos los sentidos no existe algo más desgarrador que esto cuando nos ponemos en los zapatos de los protagonistas y asimilamos lo que está ocurriendo no solo es ficción sino algo que podría pasar en cualquier parte del mundo y no solo en nuestra peor pesadilla cuando entiendes que eso puede ser tan real como la vida misma es cuando tu corazón late más de lo normal y la luz al final del túnel parecer infinitamente imposible de alcanzar. Sangre, lágrimas, tristeza, desolación, ira, ansiedad, fe quebrantada, pueden ser algunos adjetivos para describir esta película. Como mencione al inicio de esta reseña deje claro que no es la única película que muestra este tipo de situaciones desbastadoras en todo el sentido de la palabra, pero sí haré énfasis que esta es de las mejores que he tenido la oportunidad de ver donde el nivel de ansiedad que me transmitió fue una locura. Algo clave de esta película es como supieron trabajar con los jump scream y el soundtrack en cada escena inyectando una fuerza descomunal dejando un resultado maravilloso en cada puesta en escena donde realmente se necesitaba dejar al espectador asombrado o alarmado por lo que estaba ocurriendo. Que te mantengan tan concentrado en escenas que hasta cierto punto serían algo incómodas de ver, pero que te permiten entender el nivel de drama que cada una aporta a la trama y de esa forma caer en situación para digerir mejor la película.
La puesta en escena de cada personaje es literalmente un tiro al piso es decir sin fallos bien estructurados, con diálogos precisos con suficiente sustancia para que el espectador entienda lo que está ocurriendo sin tener la necesidad de tener que explicar el antes y después de lo que está ante nosotros es pocas palabras menos diálogo y más acción. La fotografía es oscura y fría como la noche e inquietante como la muerte, lo cual nos sumerge dentro de un caos emocional que puede sobrepasar nuestra imaginación o lo que esperábamos ver de esta película. Con esto quiero finalizar que no esperaba que me gustara tanto y que me pusiera contra la pared a nivel emocional no deja de sorprenderme y de vez en cuando pegar algunos saltos de mi asiento ya que la verdad te mantiene tan bombardeado con tantos momentos intensos que no existe un respiro real para decir que la película tiene un ritmo lento lo cual está muy alejado de esa realidad.
La crudeza de esta película, su poco tacto en mostrar escenas brutales y un par de plot twist la hace merecedora de un lugar en nuestra lista de películas y déjame decirte amigo lector que todo lo que veras no solo intentara jugar con tu cabeza sino que también estarás dentro de la piel de cada personaje hasta que te pierdas o quiebres.
🎬 MY SPOILER-FREE OPINION
The combination of two genres such as Drama and Horror are the perfect mix when taken on the right path and delight us as a solid story that does not fall into the repetitive and cliché of an infinite number of films that have been jealous of the genre for many years. Something that we must be clear as viewers is that not always a story however original it may seem will be the best and not for being predictable will be the worst in history is something we should always keep in mind.
A few weeks ago I came across Ghostland and I can say that it is as crazy as brutal in every way there is nothing more heartbreaking than this when we put ourselves in the shoes of the protagonists and assimilate what is happening is not only fiction but something that could happen anywhere in the world and not only in our worst nightmare when you understand that this can be as real as life itself is when your heart beats more than normal and the light at the end of the tunnel seem infinitely impossible to reach. Blood, tears, sadness, desolation, anger, anxiety, broken faith, can be some adjectives to describe this movie. As I mentioned at the beginning of this review I made it clear that this is not the only film that shows this type of devastating situations in every sense of the word, but I will emphasize that this is one of the best I have had the opportunity to see where the level of anxiety that it transmitted to me was insane. Something key to this movie is how they knew how to work with the jump scream and the soundtrack in each scene injecting a huge force leaving a wonderful result in each staging where you really needed to leave the viewer amazed or alarmed by what was happening. That they keep you so focused on scenes that to some extent would be somewhat uncomfortable to watch, but allow you to understand the level of drama that each one brings to the plot and thus fall into situation to better digest the film.
The mise-en-scene of each character is literally a shot on the spot, i.e. without well-structured flaws, with precise dialogue with enough substance for the viewer to understand what is happening without having to explain the before and after of what is before us, in other words, less dialogue and more action. The cinematography is dark and cold as night and haunting as death, which plunges us into an emotional chaos that can overwhelm our imagination or what we expected to see from this film. With this I want to end that I did not expect to like it so much and that it put me against the wall on an emotional level does not cease to surprise me and occasionally hit some jumps out of my seat as the truth keeps you so bombarded with so many intense moments that there is no real respite to say that the film has a slow pace which is far from that reality.
The rawness of this movie, its tactlessness in showing brutal scenes and a couple of plot twists makes it worthy of a place in our list of movies and let me tell you reader friend that everything you will see will not only try to play with your head but you will also be inside the skin of each character until you get lost or break.
El director (Pascal Laugier) sabe manejar el suspenso a su máximo nivel y no teme mostrar escenas crudas y tan gráficas que romperían a cualquier persona aunque debo confesar que en esta película no fue tan explícito como en su otra obra Martyrs donde el nivel de violencia física era incalculable a tal nivel que no sabes cuándo inicia y cuándo terminará llevando al espectador a una posición incómoda y dando paso a escenas que intentan marcar un punto sin olvidar que cada una de ellas desea tener una respuesta que vaya de la mano con lo que vemos en pantalla sin caer en un pozo de dudas que hagan que nuestra cabeza se golpe de frente con una pared de concreto. En esta oportunidad fue menos violento, pero más intenso a nivel auditivo y marcando con fuerza escenas que ayudan a que no despegues la vista de la pantalla.
🔥🔥🔥 ACTORES / PERSONAJES 🔥🔥🔥
Una película para ser exitosa no solo necesita contar con una guionista, director o una cuenta ilimitada de recursos que la hagan destacar del resto de las demás lo que realmente necesita es contar con buenos actores que personifican a sus personajes como si fueran ellos mismos y puedan trasmitir emociones que traspasan la pantalla captando la atención del público y generando un interés genuino o desagrado lo cual permite tener una conexión mayor de esa manera se puede digerir de otro forma una película o serie.
La actuación de (Emilia Jones), (Taylor Hickson) son de lo mejor que tiene la película el nivel de ansiedad y dolor que transmiten te ponen la piel de gallina y es que no puedes evitar sentir tristeza y desesperación cuando las ves pasando por cosas tan terribles que cuesta mucho entender, pero que están frente a ti y poder pasar ese trago amargo es casi imposible cuando notas en la mirada de sus protagonistas en nivel de tragedia que supera cualquier imaginación. No me había topado desde ya hace un tiempo con una película que se metiera en lo más profundo de mi piel y me hiciera sentirme tan mal y con ganas de poner pausa y ver otra cosa y no porque sea mala, no para nada está muy alejada de esa realidad al contrario es de lo mejor que tendido la oportunidad de ver este año teniendo presente que ya hace unos años que se estrenó, pero se siente que fuera de esas películas del 2005 que sin duda tenían un estilo tosco, pero también trabajadas que lo irreal rozaba con lo real y eso es muy difícil de conseguir actualmente en una película.
Cada personaje cumple con su trabajo, ninguno sobra o crea espacio o momentos innecesarios al contrario encajan perfectamente en cada tiempo dando paso a diálogos que pueden parecer vagos o sin mucho efecto ya que aquí lo que genera estrés o preocupación son las escenas donde existe un contacto humano y no un intercambio de palabras. Quedarme fascinado con todo lo físico no quiere decir que me guste la violencia, pero cuando es colocada donde debe ir y no se abusa de ella innecesariamente es cuando sabes que lo que ves no es exceso sino no la dosis correcta para el siguiente paso.
Como dice un viejo dicho; entre gustos y colores no han escrito los autores, lo demás queda al gusto y opinión de los demás solo tu sabrás hasta dónde puedes llegar y cómo liderar con lo que venga después.

The acting of (Emilia Jones), (Taylor Hickson) are some of the best in the film, the level of anxiety and pain they transmit gives you goose bumps and you can't help but feel sadness and despair when you see them going through such terrible things that are hard to understand, but that are in front of you and being able to pass that bitter pill is almost impossible when you notice in the eyes of its protagonists the level of tragedy that surpasses any imagination. I had not come across a movie for a while that got deep under my skin and made me feel so bad and wanting to pause and watch something else and not because it is bad, not at all is far from that reality on the contrary is the best that I had the opportunity to see this year bearing in mind that it's been a few years since it was released, but it feels like out of those films of 2005 that undoubtedly had a rough style, but also worked that the unreal rubbed with the real and that is very difficult to achieve in a film today.
Each character does his or her job, none of them is superfluous or creates unnecessary space or moments, on the contrary, they fit perfectly in each time giving way to dialogues that may seem vague or without much effect, since here what generates stress or concern are the scenes where there is human contact and not an exchange of words. Being fascinated with all the physicality doesn't mean I like violence, but when it is placed where it should go and not abused unnecessarily is when you know that what you see is not excess but not the right dose for the next step.
As an old saying goes; between tastes and colors have not written the authors, the rest is left to the taste and opinion of others only you will know how far you can go and how to lead with what comes next.

Si has tenido la oportunidad de ver alguna de las películas que te mencione al inicio de esta publicación puedo decirte con toda seguridad que esta te encantará y podrás disfrutar de inicio a fin ya que debes tener estómago para verla de eso no se puede tener duda. De lo contrario o no has visto nada parecido la verdad no te la recomiendo si eres de estómago sensible y de pensamiento cerrado la verdad esta película no será nada entretenida ni gustosa a la vista ya que golpea fuertemente muchos valores y emociones humanas que te dejan ese mal sabor de boca y un desagrado por personas que una mente dañada y sin luz en sus almas no es nada recomendable que la veas si has pasado por alguna situación de violencia así sea de las más pequeñas ya que realmente si toca lo más sensible de cualquier ser humano.
Cuando me tope con este tipo de películas tenía en la cabeza que nada era real, pero mucho de ese pensamiento era cuando estaba muy joven con una mentalidad muy inocente aunque ya tenía mis años y no era un niño, pero tampoco tenía esa malicia o forma de pensar tan moldeada como hace un 10 años y es por eso que te digo que tienes que estar consciente de que es lo que te afecta y que no y si es una película, pero créeme mucha personas no la toleran y la dejan a la mitad por una infinidad de razones que van sujetas a lo emocional.
🎬 DO I RECOMMEND IT?
