The movie is based on a 1997 book called Meg: A Novel Deep Terror by Steve Alten. The movie stars the famous Jason Statham, Li Bingbing, Rainn Wilson, Ruby Rose, Winston Chao and Cliff Curtis.
SYPNOSIS
A group, encounters a seventy-five foot-long megalodon shark while on a rescue mission on the floor of the Pacific Ocean.
STORY

In the movie THE MEG, a wealthy investor, called Jack Morris (Reignn Wilson) went to china to see his new research company, where scientist are trying to reach the ocean floor that is hidden by a layer of frozen gas.
They succeeded, but before they could research further, they were engaged by a gigantic megalodon, an ancient shark thought to have been extinct.
The groups were stuck in the ocean floor but a 'big headed' Jonas Taylor (Jason Statham) an expert was called to come and rescue them.
Unluckily, during the rescue the shark escapes to the surface of the ocean, leaving the other rescue experts to stop it from reaching populated areas.
OBSERVATION
The Meg actually is an awesome movie, the animation, directing, the acting were top notch.
Yeah, my all-time personal actor ‘Jason Statham’ as always a great actor gave his all in the movie.
Over all I love the movie and I recommend you all to watch it.
