Deja que tu imaginación vuele un poco. Imaginemos que un día te levantas por la mañana y, mientras preparas tu desayuno para irte a trabajar, echas un vistazo rápido por la ventana para apreciar el hermoso amanecer que te ha regalado la vida. Pero, en ese preciso momento, ves a tu vecino cargando su auto con maletas. Podrías pensar que lo hace porque se va de vacaciones a una isla o de safari a África; sin embargo, notas su apuro y que su rostro muestra angustia y miedo.
Intrigado por la situación, te llenas de curiosidad, sales de tu casa y le preguntas: '¿Ha pasado algo malo?'. Él te responde con otra pregunta: '¿Has visto las noticias?'. La preocupación te invade. Acto seguido, entras a tu casa, prendes la TV y escuchas un mensaje de alerta mundial que invita a la población a quedarse en sus casas, ya que un virus altamente mortal se está propagando rápidamente. Ante esta noticia, te preguntas: ¿Qué harías? ¿Te irías a otro lugar más seguro o te quedarías en casa?
A continuación, te presento 'Hidden: Terror en Kingsville', una película de terror y misterio que te volará la cabeza. El estreno de este rodaje fue el 15 de septiembre del 2015 y la duración de la misma es de 1h 24m. La historia comienza con una pareja y su pequeña hija, quienes han estado refugiados por más de 300 días en un búnker antinuclear debido a un virus mortal que ha acabado con el planeta casi en su totalidad. Durante su estadía en dicho refugio, no han tenido contacto con el mundo exterior. El temor de salir a la superficie se origina gracias a los 'Bufadores', así les llaman a unas supuestas 'criaturas' que atacan a los humanos.
Ahora bien, un día ocurre un accidente dentro del refugio antibomba y se origina un incendio. El humo que se produce sale por uno de los canales de ventilación del búnker, convirtiéndose en una señal para los Bufadores, que no tardan en llegar y percatarse de que bajo la tierra hay humanos. Es ahí cuando el drama, el terror y la carrera por la supervivencia comienza.
Esta película es muy inquietante; la oscuridad se apodera de la totalidad de las escenas y, si eres claustrofóbico, te puede generar angustia. Durante el transcurso de la trama, también verás cortos flashbacks que te ponen en contexto de lo que pasó con los personajes principales antes de llegar al búnker. Además, una de las cosas que más me llamó la atención de la película es la ambientación, y es que gran parte de ella se gira en torno al refugio y, aunque pensarías que te aburrirás o no lo disfrutarás, pues todo lo contrario, ya que cada segundo que pasa te intriga más. Cabe destacar que la trama tiene un giro espectacular que cambia por completo la perspectiva de la historia (no todo es como parece). Este giro en la película me causó tanto asombro; fue un cambio inesperado que conecta perfectamente con el principio de la película. Es ahí cuando todo encaja, como cuando logras encajar la última pieza del rompecabezas.
Finalmente, si tengo que valorar esta película con un puntaje de 0 a 10, le daría un 9. Me hubiese encantado que su duración hubiera sido más extensa; quizás le hubiesen agregado un poco más al guión. Sin embargo, esto no quita para nada lo espectacular que me pareció. Por cierto, existe una segunda parte, la cual pienso ver en cualquier momento y, por supuesto, les traeré mi opinión sobre ella, aunque por lo que he leído, esta parte dos es muy diferenciada con respecto a la primera.
En mi opinión personal, si eres amante de las películas de terror y misterio te la recomiendo. La verdad, te dejará un buen sabor de boca; serán los 84 minutos mejor invertidos de tu vida. Let your imagination fly a little. Imagine one day you wake up in the morning and, while preparing your breakfast to go to work, you take a quick glance out the window to appreciate the beautiful sunrise that life has given you. But, at that precise moment, you see your neighbor loading his car with suitcases. You might think he's doing it because he's going on vacation to an island or on a safari to Africa; however, you notice his haste and that his face shows anguish and fear.
Intrigued by the situation, filled with curiosity, you leave your house and ask him: 'Has something bad happened?'. He responds with another question: 'Have you seen the news?'. Concern overwhelms you. Immediately after, you enter your house, turn on the TV, and hear a global alert message inviting the population to stay at home, as a highly lethal virus is spreading rapidly. Faced with this news, you wonder: What would you do? Would you go somewhere safer or stay at home?
Next, I present to you 'Hidden: Terror in Kingsville', a horror and mystery movie that will blow your mind. The premiere of this film was on September 15, 2015, and its duration is 1h 24m. The story begins with a couple and their young daughter, who have been sheltered for more than 300 days in an anti-nuclear bunker due to a deadly virus that has almost completely wiped out the planet. During their stay in the shelter, they have had no contact with the outside world. The fear of going to the surface originates from the 'Huffers', as they call supposed 'creatures' that attack humans.
Now then, one day an accident occurs inside the bomb shelter, causing a fire. The smoke produced exits through one of the bunker's ventilation channels, becoming a signal for the Huffers, who quickly arrive and realize that there are humans underground. That's when the drama, the terror, and the race for survival begins.
This movie is very unsettling; darkness takes over all the scenes, and if you're claustrophobic, it might cause you distress. Throughout the plot, you will also see short flashbacks that put you in context with what happened to the main characters before they arrived at the bunker. Moreover, one of the things that caught my attention the most about the movie is the setting, and it's that a large part of it revolves around the shelter and, although you might think you'll get bored or not enjoy it, quite the opposite, since every second that passes intrigues you more. It's worth noting that the plot has a spectacular twist that completely changes the perspective of the story (not everything is as it seems). This twist in the movie caused me such astonishment; it was an unexpected change that connects perfectly with the beginning of the film. That's when everything fits together, like when you manage to fit the last piece of the puzzle.
Finally, if I have to rate this movie on a scale from 0 to 10, I would give it a 9. I would have loved if its duration had been longer; perhaps they could have added a bit more to the script. However, this does not take away from how spectacular I found it. By the way, there is a second part, which I plan to watch at any time and, of course, I will bring you my opinion on it, although from what I've read, this second part is very different from the first.
In my personal opinion, if you are a fan of horror and mystery movies, I recommend it. Honestly, it will leave you with a good taste in your mouth; they will be the 84 minutes best invested of your life. Dependería de varios factores, como la gravedad del virus, la seguridad del refugio y la existencia de otros lugares que sean bien seguros 🙈.
