Introduction
Adele Red is a Nigeria drama directed by Emmanuel Anyaka.
It’s was quit amazing seeing this drama cause makes me understand and know that when you can’t let go of your past it’s enslaves you and take away your happiness.
No matter how ugly how past can be we should make sure we let it go to accept the bright future that awaits us.
When you take your burden and worries to God he will take them from you and set you free. This can’t happen when you keep running away from him, you have to let go of everything that’s stopping you from running to God.
No matter how many sins you committed or how dirty your sins are God is always ready to forgive you and you back to himself. Don’t think your sins are too dirty to be cleanse by God, remember he said he will watch it to be white as snow. God doesn’t condemn.
About the movie
Adele Red is a young and hardworking lady (influencer) who didn’t believe in God nor in religion, she believes she’s beautiful and with her beauty she can get whatever and whoever she wants. Adele Red was enslaved by her past she finds difficult to let go and keep blaming God for her past, with this she hates everything religious, she doesn’t even pray.
She lives a ungodly life and do ungodly things too.
One day, she encort her friend to church, coincidentally she mate with the pastor (pastor John) she was sexually/lust attracted to him. She start stunning the pastor and try everything possible for him to go to bed with her.
Each day she tempted the pastor he keeps praying and overcoming the temptation. This got her angry and upset. But she didn’t stop seducing him.
Pastor john keeps praying and it was revealed to him that Adele Red is suffering from pains which she refused to talk/discuss about when the past asked her.
Pastor John also had a vision which shows that Adele Red is his wife. When he told this to Adele she laughed and sent him out of her house after convincing him to have sex with her to prove what he said but he refused.
One sadly day for Adele Red, her mistress ( the married man she sex with) came to her house confusing his love for her, told her he wants to divorce his wife and marry her which she refused. The man tried to kill her saying she should set him free with self defense Adele stab him and he reported dead. Adele Red was arrested everything she had and built was shattered. She was between life and rioting in jail for murder.
Here she knows she has missed up her life and everyone around her was against her, she needed help but who will come to her rescue to proof her innocence. This for the first time to prayed to God asking for help.
Her prayer was answered there was ctv camera that prove that she was acted on self defense, she was released from prison and her case was closed.
She was ashamed and felt sorry for all her bad actions and behavior. She asked for forgiveness from the wife of the man (the death man), forgiveness isnt that easy thou she refused to forgive her.
Adele wants to turn new leaf, she wants to know God more and also to do his will and work.
Pastor prayed for her (prayer of forgiveness of sin, confession and accepting God).
Adele is now a different and new person, she told pastor John that she wants to write a book, which was a good start. Sharing the word of God together always brought them closer. According to the vision and will of God, pastor John propose to her and she accepted.
Conclusion
Life can be ugly at us but we should not allow it take over and control us. God may be delay but doesn’t mean he’s not alive, doesn’t mean that he can’t heard you, he’s waiting for the right time and he’s always on time. Don’t give up on God. You are he’s vessel of honor.
