Haunted house and ghost movies are a classic of horror and suspense and continue to appeal to many people who are not believers in the paranormal and even more to those who do believe in these forces. Presencia o la entidad, as it is titled in Spanish, is a modern version of these classics where they show the story of a modern family with typical problems of today's society and their new home where The Entity lives.
This family is a modern version as I just mentioned from every point of view, created by parents of different nationalities referring to migrants in a new country, the wife is the one who makes the decisions and who economically supports the family, the provider with strong character, while the husband is the passive, understanding and submissive, with this change of roles now the cinema shows modern families. This couple has two children, the male athlete and successful in his studies is the pride of his mother and a teenage female who is going through a depressive problem due to the death of her best friend.
The family decides to move home to give their daughter a chance for a new beginning and to forget, but they buy the wrong house, as unknowingly there is the presence of an energy or ghost that begins to disturb them, specifically the girl who is more sensitive to these things. At first, the girl is frightened, but then she understands that this presence does not want to harm her; on the contrary, it seems to care for her. Adapted to the house, they begin to make their normal life, and they are visited by a new friend of the son of the family, this boy had bad intentions with the children of the family, becoming addicted to the boy and seducing the young girl.

Las películas de casas embrujadas y fantasmas son un clásico del terror y el suspenso y siguen siendo atractivas para muchas personas que no son creyentes de lo paranormal y más para los que sí creen en esas fuerzas. Presencia o la entidad, como se titula en español, es una versión moderna de estos clásicos donde muestran la historia de una familia moderna con problemas típicos de la sociedad actual y su nuevo hogar donde habita La entidad.
Esta familia es una versión moderna como acabo de mencionar desde todo punto de vista, creada por padres de diferentes nacionalidades haciendo referencia a migrantes en un nuevo país, la esposa es la que toma las decisiones y la que sostiene económicamente la familia, la proveedora con carácter fuerte, mientras que el esposo es el pasivo, comprensivo y sumiso, con este cambio de roles ahora el cine muestra las familias modernas. Esta pareja tiene dos hijos, el varón deportista y exitoso en sus estudios es el orgullo de su madre y una hembra adolescente que está pasando un problema depresivo por la muerte de su mejor amiga.
La familia decide mudarse de hogar para darle la oportunidad a su hija de un nuevo comienzo y de olvidar, pero compran la casa equivocada, ya que sin saber en ella está la presencia de una energía o fantasma que comienza a perturbarlos, específicamente a la chica que es más sensible a estas cosas. Al principio, la joven se asusta, pero luego entiende que esta presencia no le quiere hacer daño; por el contrario, parece cuidarla. Adaptados a la casa, comienzan a hacer su vida normal, y los visita un nuevo amigo del hijo de la familia, este chico tenía malas intenciones con los hijos de la familia, volviendo adicto al chico y seduciendo a la joven.
While the entity tried to warn of the latent danger, the family just panicked and looked for someone to explain what was going on and how to get out of the situation. There were no answers and things calmed down, in the end the supposed friend was not only evil but also psychopathic and wanted to cross the line by playing with the girl's life.
This film changes the perspective of the ghost in haunted houses in a positive way, with the greatest danger being the living and not the dead. It is a refreshing and updated story, it has a very surprising ending that I can't say was happy, and I rewatched it several times because I was shocked by how they executed the scene, with changes in shots, sounds, lights. Surely many parents will identify with these characters and will see similarities in their family, although it is a fictional story it can generate a slight social reflection and beliefs.
It kept me entertained from beginning to end, I liked the photography and atmosphere of the scenery, and also the direction and camera focus at times making the viewer see from the point of view of the spirit or entity. It has good filmic elements that made it worthy of several awards, if you want to see some suspense and paranormal stuff I recommend it.

Mientras la entidad intentaba advertir el peligro latente, la familia solo se asusta y busca a alguien que les explique qué sucedía y cómo salir de la situación. No hubo respuestas y las cosas se calmaron, al final el supuesto amigo no solo era malvado sino también psicópata y quería cruzar el límite al jugar con la vida de la muchacha.
Esta película cambia la perspectiva del fantasma en las casas embrujadas de forma positiva, siendo el mayor peligro los vivos y no los muertos. Es una historia refrescante y actualizada, tiene una final muy sorpresivo que no puedo decir que fue feliz, y lo repetí varias veces porque me impactó cómo ejecutaron la escena, con cambios de planos, sonidos, luces. Seguramente muchos padres se verán identificados con estos personajes y verán parecidos en su familia, aunque es una historia de ficción puede generar una leve reflexión social y de creencias.
Me mantuvo entretenida de principio a fin, la fotografía y ambiente de los escenarios me gustó, y también la dirección y el enfoque de la cámara a veces haciendo que el espectador viera desde el punto de vista del espíritu o entidad. Tiene buenos elementos fílmicos que la hizo merecedora de varios premios, si quieres ver algo de suspenso y de cosas paranormales te la recomiendo.

Lo de hacer que fuera el punto de vista del Fantasma me encantó ✨ y el plow twist del final estuvo bueno
